Thanks a lot for the extra tips and stuff. I'm retired HD guy so I've got all my tools at home instead of packing what I need home in a box and realizing I forgot one thing so job doesn't get done till next evening. Most of the stuff is straight forward but I enjoy watching just so it's less likely that I miss something or break something because not using correct procedure. Thumbs up from Alberta.
I always wire brush the exposed ends of the hub bearing bolts, seems to help with removal.

I’ve been using tranny fluid and gasoline for years seems to work OK two parts Trains fluid one part gas. Then again I’m not using it on hot exhaust bolts.😅
don't have a lift i use jack and jack stands so i just set the caliper on a bucket lol

If someone is wanting to use the twisty style he is talking about rather than the S-type hooks you can get them at Home Depot. I have always used wire coat hangers before but finally ended up buying a set of the S hooks from Amazon. Next time I will buy the High Vis hooks because I have already left one under the car and now it's somewhere along side the freeway LOL.

As someone who lives out west…yeah, we're spoiled. Haven't had to replace a single piece of suspension in 130,000 miles.
You can learn about the various Penetrants and their "capability" on the "Project Farm" channel on YouTube. He tested all of them including your transmission fluid and acetone concoction. My take away was that none of them really do a whole hill of beans other than make a mess and stink.
Those little hooks that come in the end of an exhaust when you buy one new.

What's your experience like storing mixed ATF/acetone in a container over time? Heard a lot of stories about the mixture dissolving plastic/metal containers.
It is strange to see a regular (non performance targeted) auto repair shop do such good work. I've had bad experiences enough times in different cities and cars that I do everything myself.
I live in Dallas Texas and things rust here but not nearly as bad, the road salt and de-ice is much worse for the metal.

I’ve repurposed wire coat hangers, or even used weed whacker line to hang brake calipers!
Eric you can purchase the scotch brite 2 & 3 inch wheels from Empire Abrasives. They require a 2 or 3 inch mandrel. They are much cheaper than what you paid for the one on the video on 2000 Dodge Stratus. Lots of good info on the web site. One outlet in N Y. Thanks for the videos. Joe Carter

ATF is mostly refined mineral oil…
And we most likely dont need the additives for penetrating oil.

Home Depot sells large bendy tie things to hold calipers. They come in multiple colors, covered in a rugged rubber.
I've had a few for many years, and while I'm just a home gamer, they have held up well.
they make caliper hangers they have a hook at each end love the videos
You can buy that type of hanger for the calipers at Home Depot FYI if no one has an already mentioned it.
Metal hangars from your closet or you get from dry cleaning….great for hanging calipers
