All "Buy Here Pay Here" cars are either lemons, flood, crash , defective, or something else horrible. It's been that way for the 50 years I've been alive. Unfortunately each new generation or desperate folks learn the hard way.

Scam remember last time home prices dropped and lots of bankruptcies…well neighbor was a real estate lawyer business booming…why? Because home inspectors falsified reports on termite damage etc.. homes resold a year or so later had damage that could not have occurred in 1 year…they lied took kickbacks from realators…meaning lawyer neighbor was inundated with lawsuits.. interesting conversation we had.. trust no one..

Was going to say you can tell even if it's a 315hz over a 433hz those tpms scanners and service tools are nice. I'm curious as to what your states laws are on that? That's considered a federal offense here. TPMS tampering is a hefty fine In CO as well.
I just had all four replaced on the 2013 FoST. The dealer charged $52 per but no charge for installation, remounting and balancing. I’ll be doing the same on the wife’s 2010 Town & Country when they finally die.

If it was a ford made between 07-10 it may be a band sensor. In which case it's 180⁰ from the valve stem.
Thats interesting, I have a 2008 escape identical to this one. Has the same frame rust issue on the frame where it is basically cracked and peeling. I didn't notice until 2 months after I bought it.

Really sucks that you need special tools to install simple tire pressure sensors. Is there a way to turn off the tire sensor option, so it don't even check tire pressure anymore or just turn off the light, so it don't light up anymore?

I'm late to the party, but Ford issued a recall for the rust you discovered. I have an 01 and I got the paperwork in the mail a few years ago.

Hi Ray, I'm a new subscriber. I ran across your videos while looking at repair videos for my 2010 PT Cruiser. I really enjoy your videos especially how you are able to do most of your repairs while holding a camera. I noticed at the end of this video your were showing the millage on your Chevrolet truck nearing 200,000 miles. I couldn't help but stop the video to see your oil pressure gauge, like my 2004 Chevrolet truck with only 160,000 miles on it also displays low oil pressure and has for quite some time. it appears to be an issue with these trucks. It improves with a fresh oil change but the condition quickly returns after a short while. Perhaps you could do a video on how to correct the problem or possibly comment on what might be the cause and if it is something that needs immediate attention. Thanks for your consideration and your great videos. I wish you best of luck, which seems to come with hard work. Regards!

You just gotta get a pre-purchase inspection of a used car. If the lot won't let you do that, find one that will.
