  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Albert Langer says:

Tops to your wife re wiper blades. In the 'nid 70s on a Saturday it was repair/modification day at my parents'. Mates of different trades. My wife-to-be was active and learnt, 7 years later she repaired the left front of her brother's car. Whilst the removal was OK the wrecking yard tried to rip them off with a calliper. My wife asked for another. Bro's car was repaired and thus a family story.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars fubar totale says:

Youre talking about a 1-2000 watt laser unit to strip off rust like your demo. about $10,000 to start..
I'm an old school machinist and we used to put blocks of camphor in each drawer, the oil evaporates and coats the tools and smells good too.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Williams says:

In your most humblest opinion. Does nitrogen O2 mixture better or same as 100% O2 in a tire? Would being in different parts of the country be any kind of factor In the effectiveness of N O2 vs 100% O2.

Leave the bare metal tool in the sun for a few minutes and then wipe them down with just about any oil. Clean off the excess, the metal will absorb a minuscule amount of the oil and retard the oxidation.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nick Hempsall says:

Don’t forget to check the wiper blade when you get home and then compliment the wife unit on her excellent efforts.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Omega says:

A Wire-wheel works good for quickly de-rusting tools also..

  51. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jon Krohn says:

Here In good ol Michigan we call inner liner seal, bead seal. I use it to go over the patch but also on the bead of the wheel to make the wheel and tire seal better because corrosion Is always a big problem here and the corrosion can build up so thick it makes tires leak.

  52. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Don's Junkmail says:

Musty smell…depends who they are..did they sweat or we're they wet.

  53. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tidewater Tail Chaser says:

    Much caffeine Ray?
Long time sub liked the "welding pliers" and know you reference. I use an ozone machine to combat interior odors. That client's vehicle appears to require a good cleaning and perhaps Auto Shocker ClO2 car interior odor eliminator as the owner smelled musty. You do have a legitimate claim on your employer's inability to secure readily available parts, at your loss.
Is this job here really a front for your actual business of your YouTube Channel that makes more than your sideline job?

  57. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars New Horizons says:

You want a rust laser? So does us Michiganders. XD I remember seeing that laser when it first came out. Me and my friend were flipping out watching the videos. lol

  58. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Xlaxsauce says:

We used to have a great way for compressing air in an adiabatic way. In Ontario there was a station that made compressed air to deliver to bussinesses with a man made waterfall of sorts. The waterfall would pull air down with it and the pipe where the water travelled took the air and there'd be a bell where the air would gather. Since the water is always with the air it keeps it at the water temperature at all times so there is little moisture in the air and the system basically relies solely on water flow.

  59. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Hecker says:

Short video but it was nice spending time with you. Have a good day ray.

  60. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Go Canada says:

RUSTY TOOLS …. wire wheel the rust off, then spray them with cheap hairspray ! (laquer), no more rust !

  61. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars How to Suck at Gaming says:

personally, I think that repair was far too close to the sidewall. I would have recommended a tire, and made them sign a waiver if they elected to have us patch it.

  62. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars pskton says:

While I appreciate the paper protection, I really dislike when they are left in my vehicle for me to get rid of.

  63. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars zannus says:

    RayRay for President

  66. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars HUNTERxGARRETT says:

Just a heads up Ray, I am a Tech at a higher end dealer. I have seen many of our cars come in with water intrusion issues and found the carpet to be dry to the touch. This happens because of the way our carpets are made and other manufacturers may be the same. We have a vapor barrier of sorts between the carpet surface and the very thick layer of foam below the carpet surface. Sometimes many gallons of water will be in a car and the customer won't know until there are corrosion issues, creating warning messages on the dash. I have found the manufactures do this to make room for wiring harnesses and structural supports under the carpet. Not to say there was water under the carpets in your case, I uphold my respect for you as a mechanic! Love the vids.

  69. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Blackmore says:

I’m surprised Kalifornia hasn’t mandated we use electric tools already. I’d rather use the battery ones anyways, as I don’t have to drag around an air hose.

  70. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars OTB Cliff says:

The big water tornadoes are good for our trees as long as they aren’t really strong clears out the trees.

  71. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tim D says:

  72. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Newberry says:

  76. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mara Milas says:

Chalk,or charcoal, inthe toolbox to prevent rust, I think.

  77. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Peter G says:

you wouldn't want to use that rust removing laser on a lot of the vehicles you seem to get as there wouldn't be much left of them afterwards

  78. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Earl Edwards says:

I had this EXACT thing happen to me; screw in my tire. There is another story behind this but I will keep this comment short. I couldn’t get to a repair place because of the job with long hours. The tire held up for a day and a half and the screw worked its way out and I was on the side of the freeway putting on my spare. Tire is destroyed.

  79. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dana Rostron says:

First person in a long time I've seen correctly patch a tire from the inside snd and take the extra time to add sealant internally. Good job 👏 👍 👌 🙌

  83. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kenneth Baker says:

    Have a great day Ray

  84. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars kurt nulf says:

Instead of wasting your time on the interior of the vehicle I would be more concerned about the differential and the transmission to make sure the gear oil wasn`t milky or that the transmission fluid didn`t have any water in it then i would check the interior

  85. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars mousetrap 134 says:

Dear Ray, look like you use regular compress air for that nail tire but it had a Azote valve cap already ?? does your chop have Azote air refill ? All the best keep safe with hurricane season

  86. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars HighSierraDrifter says:

And it was on this day that I learned modern tires no longer have tubes. Geez.

  87. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars sand 007 says:

The tire makes a satisfying 'pop' when installed! 😀

  88. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Doc says:

Wife unit? 😁 Sounds like " The Coneheads " !!

  89. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Skyjet Ende says:

Those specific nissan oil caps and alot of honda caps just get really stuck on, even if it wasnt put back on over tight. I like to use some soft-handled pliers and use the handle end as a bit of an assist to open them without straining muscles or causing an overuse of force which has sliced my digits on adjacent sharp edges plenty of times.

  90. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Troll With A Purpose says:

This is why I will very rarely spray tools, nearly wipe only

  91. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Wood Stream says:

I'm sure there is a lawyer willing to take your money so you can recoup the lost filter sale.

  93. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris B says:

Ray, maybe try some OSPHO for the surface rusting??

  94. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James White says:

RR you pull the floor mats and look for condensation on the bottom of the mats. Then you know.

  99. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hayley says:

Since the oxidation is not super uniform, I assume the laser method would probably leave a lot of pitting
