In this video I take out the Smith and Wesson M&P Pro in 9mm and try out 5 different types of really cheap FMJ ammo to see what works the best for me as I continue to get use to the gun. DIY 6 plate dueling tree kit. 3/8" AR500 plates and schedule 40 pipe stub kit. Use 5 ft tall 1 1/2" 1/4" wall angle iron angle forward approx 20 degrees on base. Pipe stubs spaced 9" from top edge down to top edge of next pivot tube. results in 3" interval between plates on same side.

I know this is an older video but all your groups were in the lights out zone and I finally gave a red dot a try and oh man that’s like cheating !
From the UK the question always seems to be…. How many more Americans need to die before the America changes the gun laws? And the answer always comes back the same. ' just a few more yet' The solution to gun problems always seems to be to arm even more people so you can take out the bad guys but that simply puts even more citizens into the firing line and the mass shootings continue. Until Americans take on board that readily available firearms mean that nutty idiots can easily get guns to murder innocent people the problem ain't going away. Yes it might mean that recreational shooting is curtailed but if you join a gun club and keep the guns at the club the problem is reduced. The news in this country described a situation where a 9 year old girl was being taught at a range to fire a machine gun for her birthday and ended up shooting fatally the instructor who was standing behind the girl but the kick back caused the gun to arc back to the point that the instructor was shot. Who in their right mind thought that a child of that age would benefit from learning to use an automatic weapon. Absolutely barking. Americans don't seem mature enough to be trusted with firearms according to the history books and the news feed that we get in Europe.

Enjoyed youf video. I shoot (love it) several guns, S&W M&P 9 Shield, Ruger LC9s, Glock 42, 43x, 48 and FMK 9C1. Today, Ammo is not only hard to find, it is also very expensive compared to the day of your video. I liked your presentation of multiple manufacturers and targets to analyze how each performs under one gun. Good job.

wow i remember those prices for ammo nowadays people would think it was black friday fire sale prices . sucks getting old and trying to see iron sights i have red dot 1x sights on most of my guns now for easier sight picture no trying to see focus on front and rear sight

Way late on watching this, but where you are raise and live can definitely have a big effect on your thoughts on guns. I was raised in Wyoming, and always around guns, and once I moved away to Los Angeles, and ended up discussing guns with friends that were born and raised there, I then understood better were a lot of the anti-gun feelings come from.
Yea…. Remember back in the day when you could find and afford ammo? Remember when retailers weren't in the business of left wing politics and actually sold what the market demanded? Those were the good ol days of the US… Days now gone forever.

Free advice…low and left,,,correct trigger pull i.e. smooth every shot a surprise and follow through eye sighting while watching target.
My wife says, "If it burns gasoline or gun powder, my husband wants one." I always like to see other guys supporting the 2nd Amendment.
Some say mag blocks sometimes fall out if you remove the baseplate

Get a Dillon 650 and learn to reload. I shoot 1000+ rounds a month and never walk into a gun store for ammo. Take the NRA reloading class so you do it safely.

Adjustable sights? If you want to hit where you aim, try Sig Sauer.
I think your anticipating the recoil and/or jerk of the trigger for the low hits and sight alignment and trigger pull for the others that were close to center hits. Just my thoughts to help improvements
You carry (carried) a Shield? How well do you shoot with it? I've tried 3 different ones and couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I don't like em. The full size M&Ps might be better guns, but I haven't shot one of those. I carry the Walther PPS 1st gen. Super accurate with that. I also have a Walther PPX – discontinued due to Chevrolet-like construction – but I love that gun too, super accurate with it as well. I'll have to try a full size M&P, see if it changes my mind about S&W.

I had a BB gun as a kid and loved it , You could not aim at something low the BB would roll out the barrel. I once shot the star out at boardwalk game at the beach , the guy running the game hated me for exposing how to do it but never shot a real gun . Maybe when I retire I'll take a course . I hear them shooting down at the gun club all the time .

I've been a fan of SMA for a couple of years now and didn't know that you liked shooting. I knew that you enjoyed bow hunting so I'm bot surprised about guns. I learned to shoot as a boy in Cleveland, although the shooting was done in the country. The real love blossomed during my service in the U.S. Army from '66 to '69. Didn't go to Viet Nam, just did 2 yrs in Panama. Kind of let shooting take a leave for the next 40 years and at the suggestion of my bride I took it up once more. I now own S&W 380 shield EZ, 9mm EZ, Ruger GP 100 357, Mark IV 4.5" and a Taurus 9mm . The Taurus is relatively new and is one of my favorite range pistols. Enjoyed the shooting video and love your property. Unfortunately, Vice President Biden will keep the price of ammo way over-priced.
