I love how easily stuff comes apart in Florida, here in the Great White North Salt Belt there would be a whole lot of Heat and Beat involved in what you replaced. LOL
If you can’t find that rattle, pump the tires up to 60 pounds and it will reveal itself.

I'm thinking your shop might consider a 55 gal drum of acetone; put that in your Matco sprayer and you won't have to throw away so many empty brakecleen cans! Great stuff! Congrats on the fleet account !

Some times that top nut on the shock won't budge at all..torch maybe …yet danger poss. Nut splitter..yet slow…not always easy…was "really" crummy roads parts of San Diego.

I never owned a "separator". Hitting the boss of where whatever(tie rod or ball joint) always worked for me. "Okie Dokes" Damn if I ever said something like that or chirped every time the phone rang, I'd be considered an idiot. Amazing you have such freedom. Sort of a goober, IMO.

roger crane here, where are your safety stands?? that truck exceeds or near it for the lift, or in other words its straining to hold up all that weight.what would happen if the lift arms suddenly let go or come down. you know there is only one Rainman Ray to make all our videos to watch an enjoy and learn from. it would be an awful day if you weren't here as it would be a great loss for all of us including your immediate family.THINK SAFETY!!!

Check the horizontal stabilizer bolts, the spacer is shot!

To hold the shaft stationary ontop of the shock, you said you didn't have the socket for that. Couldn't you ask one of the other mechanics if you could borrow one for a few minutes? Just saying

You need some rubber knee guards you getting all greasy
I'd love to do repairs at the fast forward speed but have found old age is slowing me down, what use to take an hour now takes the best part of a day and worse if it's too hot even for a siesta. Love the way you do things, so entertaining and you also have a very high win rate.

Where you say you don't care about damaging the part you're removing, because you have the replacement. I would disagree with this mindset.
There is always the possibility that your replacement isn't adequate, for whatever reason, and you find you need to put the original back – at least temporarily.
When I saw how hard it was to remove the caliper bracket bolts I immediately thought “yellow loctite” and the I saw it on the threads. Heat is your friend Ray. Heating the bolt with propane loosens the bond.
