  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Love Of Christ says:

Ray I had a heck of a time finding this one you need to say it’s part three of the depth of the Ford please thank you sir God bless you✝️✝️✝️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

    Oh no thermy is gone

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars airplane george says:

says no codes or pending codes stored. minus 20 F, that's cool, ? !

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars airplane george says:

now you got me worried, vette puts out minus 20 F, had it for 2 years, going to put my scan tool (ehich i don't really know how to use) on it

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael says:

you need to attach your thermometer to a rear-view mirror cutout/handicap hanging card. Something with a 'Please don't take me home' kinda thing written on it.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Bentley says:

That warranty makes no sense. Once yes, but after that if a fault will cause it to fail and has been identified to customer then warranty should be void. Just me.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars eric kestner says:

So itr becomes a training vehicle,

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Common sense Isn’t Common says:

Almost new Ford with a lemon HVAC. I’ll stick with the Tundra.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve Ingalls says:

    Ray,

Why can't you just intercept the ECM circuit foe this temp probe (which is just a thermistor) and just replace the sensor with a resistor that makes the ECM believe the evaporator temp is 45 ish ? Alldata publishes a temperature/resistance chart to give you the needed resistance value.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Fredrick Davenport says:

You're a better man than me. No way on God's green earth would I warranty the compressor without the replacement of the faulty switch.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andrew Mawdsley says:

Why is the whole job not covered under warranty, including the sensor? Are we talking about Ford warranty, or is it the warranty from your company / parts supplier because you've replaced it before?

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars A Mascia says:

    🖒🤠

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tim Hazelwood says:

I was watching right at the end and your thermometer was stuck in the air grill. I was shouting for you to take it out but you didn't. After all that work the guy sodded off with your kit too. Customers!

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Leonardo Morellato says:

is just too low on refrigerant, disregard the charge amount in the sticker and put half a pound more.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nate P says:

As an HVAC tech for residential and commercial stuff, our Industry has NO issue with denying warrant if an underlying problem is not corrected.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars gerard kavanagh says:

Another great video; I hope you didn't forget to remove your thermometer from the vent before alighting the vehicle.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Phillip Thompson says:

i mean warrenty laws vary from state to state but you can make an argument that the falure is the sensor and that its causing damage to the components replaced, since warrenty is about garenteeing the merchantability of a product ie it works as its suposed to, however because something else is not working as its suposed to and because of that the warrentied parts are being damaged and that damage isnt a defect in Manufacturing or installation of those parts but something they are electing not to fix.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars A R says:

Are u a flat rate tech . Do u get poned with these big jobs ?

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MonkeyJedi99 says:

On the warranty issue, it would be up to the warranting entity (your company, an insurance company, the compressor manufacturer) to contest the warranty in civil court on the grounds that a "known causal fault" was found and declined to be repaired by the vehicle owner.
In which case it is a decision comparing the expense of going to court versus the expense of the warranty parts and service.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars brnmcc01 says:

I like that repair time estimator, 6.3 hours = 6.3 days for me, haha 🙂

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sergio G Reyes says:

    Don't forget your thermometer!!

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars R says:

After doing this for over 10 years, pulling a dash is by far my favorite type of job. No grease dirt or rust. Minimal fluids to deal with. No back breaking labor. I always look forward to going to work when I have a dash removal while the other guys I work with complain about it. No problem. I’ll do them all and you guys can torch suspensions parts, do boring brake jobs and replace transmissions and engines all day.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars I make it green says:

Sounds like a diagnosis that was missed on the first visit.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Interstate Life says:

One good thing about Ford is they circle the problem right on the steering wheel for you.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Giuseppe says:

Where I'm from the part that is replaced under warranty assumes the warranty left in the original part. They don't get new warranty with each part because they only paid once for the original part. Also if there is a existing part causing the failure and the customer doesn't want the root cause repaired than a failure would not be covered. A warranty covers defect or workmanship on the part that is purchased.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars timjaymc says:

How on earth can you concentrate with that loud music going?

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars david G says:

Did you remember to go back for your thermostat …?

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Goultek says:

you forgot your thermometer in the car

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Badger Pa says:

Most warranties have a clause for if another part causes the failure they can back out of the warranty. I do not remember the legalize on it. Stay safe and healthy Ray.

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars themeez1000 says:

2 things in HVAC cause a freeze-up condition, low charge or low airflow.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars EristiCat says:

The easy fix by a real AC shop is to install a fitting in the low pressure side and put a low pressure cut out switch. That’s how they used to regulate evaporate temp in most of these. It would run the evaporator down to about 36 degrees and then cycle the compressor off.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ruben ruffolo says:

I know is the customer decision and you can’t continue… but honestly I don’t think I would be able to sleep knowing that I could’ve fix something but couldn’t finish it.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars NW BASSHEAD says:

    It's a Ford so it's perfect!!
    Awesome video as always Brother

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott R says:

    Stop buying FORDS

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ryan says:

I thought the compressor, condenser, and evaporator all had to be replaced at same time for warranty to be valid.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Davis says:

people like you are why I do all of my own work. just because the compressor runs 100% of the time does not mean that will make it "eat itself alive"

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Don Wagner says:

Did you remember to grab your thermometer from the vent? lol

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars cheapasstech says:

Aluminium oxide is white… but does turn black when wet/oily – wipe a piece of sandpaper on aluminium and the residue is black too

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars mick tepolt says:

you left your temperature gage in the car 🙂

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Reaper Enzeru says:

    Nice.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars LorenzoP says:

it's not a normal operating condition

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hope and Life Kids says:

how can it be bad for a compressor to run all the time? Many older 80's – 90's Chrysler ac systems had the compressor run continuously any time the switch was on.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Knuttsack Jones says:

That Sync system can SUCK IT!!!

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve White says:

Dont forget your temperature senser in the ac vent …. !!!!!!!

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Star Gazer says:

A "short to ground" would be a low resistance. An "open" would be a high resistance. You left your thermometer in the air vent.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ryzen says:

Which vehicle brand would you say you most often see in the shop for repairs other than oil changes?

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 186scott says:

I might be wrong here but in the UK I believe that if a part that failed and is replaced by warranty if the replaced warranted item fails the whole system is looked at and it will then be replaced if that part has failed on its own and wasn't caused to fail due to another part (I think I have got that right)
