Just watched the video. Always informative, and always entertaining. I stumbled upon your channel when looking up a repair and had to watch more. Reason being is that you aren't a goof and you talk about your reasoning behind diagnosis. Most of the time, I'm working on old German cars, but then I'm asked to work on newer domestic vehicles as well. Nice to see someone doing actual work and not just making a video. You mention not doing tool box tours. I'm not a fan of those either, but your feedback about what works and what does not work is more helpful than you probably realize. I'm certain you go through many more tools than I do since it's a hobby for me. I worked in a shop in my youth and learned a ton. You help me to learn even more. I've even started attempting to use a scope that I bought one time and never really put it to use. Keep up the great work.

But if you want to change it up a little bit give us some video's about your life, hunting, Sunday morning with the family. Maybe add a bit of reality show into the mix. Find the happy medium where your not getting to personal, but a little bit of say life!!
I think your a good guy with a lot to offer, share some of it with your audience. I have learned so much from you, I love you drive, tenacity and motivation. It is for these reasons you always seem to find the problem. Not to mention the fact that you are smart, have common sense and use it! And lets not leave out the beautiful Mrs O who is obviously a great influence in you life, then there is your wonderful kids, your handsome dogs. I think your audience would love to see a little more of you outside your shop.
I had fun watching rather a lot of Neutral Drop, but I'd like to do a request for how not to mess up a timing belt change. My brother recently paid to have a head rebuilt and did the timing belt himself when he got the head back. I offered some pointers along the way, but he was not amused or interested. the project is not yet back on the road, and has cost him an additional 1700 USD, so if a timing belt methodology video happened, I'd be thrilled to bits. I know Mrs. O's van got a timing belt in a "normal day at the shop" video, but a video on the right way to do a timing belt came up, I'd be terribly pleased.
I am a heavy duty do it yourselfer. I love watching you work. It is not so much what you do but the way you do it. You exhibit the best qualities of a pro mechanic: You never lose your cool. You stay calm and get on with the job. I thoroughly enjoy that you take us along on your jobs and reveal your thinking process. You have really helped me improve my skills. Thanks!
I live in Rochester and I'm sure you understand what NY weather does to vehicles. Do you have any recommendations for vehicles to buy? Is 4wd or awd required living here etc.

As an automotive student truly inspired to consider entering into the field by your content that I stubbled upon a few years ago- and still watch every video to this day- all content is good content! You are entertaining to listen to and follow along with- and in my opinion repetitive content can actually be beneficial to those looking to really learn from your channel. The more you see similar problems in different instances the easier it becomes to identify patterns in the repair & diagnostic process. Keep up the the great work Eric!! I'm thinking the funk is due to winter dark days syndrome or whatever lack of sunshine is called. I recommend putting a bright light in your face. Also apply some Budweiser liberally to throat area.
Like the channels you have been banned on like me. If you make a mistake man up and admit it. If you don't mess up you aren't doing anything like my boss once told me. We all human. Scotty has made more money on YouTube then he ever did being a mechanic several hundred times over. They ban you cause they can't admit there mistakes that will hurt there bottom line. People that man up I respect more than anyone. Do your videos for what I think most DIY can do without to many special tools. Break jobs are great as the newer ones require more special tools I noticed on newer vehicles. Sad they are taking DIY outa the game more each day. Keep it up Eric. Nothing is boring if you are interested in it. Even if the DIY can't afford the tools to fix somethings at least he has the knowledge to not get rip off as easy.

Re: Color Blind: Enchroma glasses will only work under homogenous bandwidth white light like sunlight or halogen. They do not produce good results under LED or Flourescent light because those lights are only an approximation of white light just barely good enough to fool a normal eye. In your bathroom if you have LED bulbs above the mirror for the wife to put on her makeup, it's best to populate the fixture with a mix of all the different colors of LED bulbs. Warm, Cool, Daylight, etc. They each have differing sets of color spikes and the mixture creates the best result. Not as good as halogen but about the best you can do for indoors and a woman with normal vision applying makeup.
Once I had to correct the wiring for a co-worker that was color blind. He only made a few mistakes but they were doozies.
Most people won't watch old videos, so make new ones. Don't matter what they're about. Fix something and sprinkle in some Mrs.O and we'll all be happy.
I absolutely love your videos. Totally not boring!! 🙂 It would be fun to see you diagnose and repair a modern vehicle with a custom after-market engine, and reprogramming an ECU to accept it.
My daughter commented that she’d like to see basic maintenance and emergency roadside fixes. Something similar to what you ran Ms Marie through overseeing her brake job.
Neutral drop put a Cherokee thru hell and the only thing that broke was the rear driveshaft. It turned my stomach with what they did to that poor XJ!
