Yeah all good nice to just chill for a bit get some stuff done getting the kids out and about so they feel like they are making a contribution and giving them the word as required so as to alleviate the sticking plaster incidents. Amazes me today they say just turn off ya Turbo car she,ll be right bullshit everything needs to settle before shutdown you go flat out then just stop not happening. I wouldn't,t call it Fired I would say they gonna spend shit load money ofinding Mech of your quality and then some FOOLS. Keep showing ya domestic stuff etc it is exciting to us the unable to do shit for various reasons people we get to do it through you. Keep at it and Carry On. ;0)
Ray should go work with Cleetus for one day. Would be a good collab video.
It looks so nice there in Florida. Clear Blue skies. Reminds me of our two holidays there. The UK weather sucks at this time of year.
Liking the channel,
Maybe explain how relay’s work and make a project to show them working from inside out . That would be a good video. 👋 from California
Really looking forward to more updates.always enjoy these videos you put out.
Dude buying the mulch probably lost a ton of it on the way home due to the wind.
throttle bogs when he shakes the bucket. he is trying to level the multch I would assume.
The throttle thing… hes just dumping a little off the top
I'm just wondering why you just didn't use 3/4 Stone, it has better drainage and it's a better foundation
From a system/process standpoint, keeping the coolant circulating will allow the engine to cool more evenly. Of course, the metal of the engine will conduct heat, so will generally not need help shedding normal operation heat when shutting down. It only becomes a bigger concern when there is more heat than usual to get rid of.
I never realized you lived right next door to Cleetus and crew. Awesome!
Do me a favor and please please please keep your eyes on the road, and drive like about a hundred driving instructors and cops are watching lol.
I'll watch any videos you make. Gives me something to do while i'm recovering from a broken ankle
I don't think Kubota has an auto throttle system for the loaders not 100% sure but I will say there is a higher advantage to running with a foot throttle rather than a just setting it especially when your loading
>.>
well … i know what i'm not asking Ray to do, that spread job is horrifying
I can show you how to charge that dump trailer battery while you're driving. I did it for my brother's dump trailer because his battery kept dying on him when he didn't use it for extended periods. I sent you an email to explain it.
glad to see you were getting 9 gallons per mile.
WHAT the part where you casually drive by the freedom factory??! I had never really thought of where you might be in florida just that you were there. And during your bout as weather man I never put two and two together on your location. You and Cleetus are in my top 5 channels of all time and I watch countless hours of y’all’s videos old and new.
Try spraying some vinegar where the dog tries to dig…environment friendly and might help…👍🇦🇺
I have always appreciated this channel and have come to see it as an informational channel. Just keep making videos and explaining your steps sloping the way and we’ll all keep coming back for more. Your humor and mannerisms are the real entertainment.
He's goosing the throttle to shake the bucket. That way he shakes the loose stuff off the bucket so he doesn't drag mulch all over the yard. It compacts the load too.
Worst fuel consumption I ever saw towing was 5.4 mpg.
Mind you, that was a diesel F350 towing a 28' 5th wheel with a U-haul behind that,containing 38 cases of SA surplus 7.62×51 amongst other heavy items…
When a door closes. …….went on my own over thirty years ago, best move a man can make.l know you will crush it but please always remember your most important asset your family.seems easy but trust me takes a lot of time management.good luck and good ridice to your past.
damn. you need to do something with cleetus at the freedom factory. the track you went by. new job maybe?
The front loader operator is "goosing" the throttle to compact and level his load so it doesn't spill out of the bucket on the way to the offload.
If you have a riding mower or garden tractor with a mower deck, set the deck to about 2 to 4 inches, don't turn the mower on, and drive over the lumps and piles in the driveway. The mower deck will act like a road grader blade and even out the new gravel pretty quickly. Be sure to scrape the rocks off the top of the mower deck before using it on a lawn again! 🙂
Ahh a field trip with the boy.
I’ll watch whatever content you post. Being in Florida, we want to see some racing and guns.
It's so heart warning to see you and your son spending time together! Glad to see you're okay boss!!!
The joy stick is the bucket control, not the throttle.
What's the CTA (Cold Tipping Amps) of that battery? 😁
Always interesting content. Auto, home, etc, a real technician can do anything. Electronics and computer channel coming up 😁
No doubt, that guy will dump half of the mulch on I-275
I miss doodley doo. Can u give us one in the next vid?
also make sure ur topped off on fluid…. maybe flush… since u had the hurricane….. it can asorb moisture as well
Throttle bounces the bucket just to measure the load.
Allowing it to idle after a heavy load helps prevent oil coking in the turbo cartage. Even with newer liquid cooled turbos, its a lot less likely but it will still happen. Letting it idle down like you do is the single best thing you can do to your turbo to prevent damage. Kudos on your forethought.
I didn't realize that you were near the Cletus team at the freedom factory
thought diesel were suppose to get great gas mileage… looks like ur getting…. 10mpg 🤬
Thats a bad habit I have I drive a mustang cat 928 and a Bobcat skid steer, you should be able to switch from from pedal to joystick. It's all preference
The "goosing" is the hydraulic pump loading and unloading when he's shaking the bucket to level the scoop. Engines on a governor so it tries to maintain the RPM setting. (As you seem to have picked up on)
Freedom Factory? Hell yeah,brother!
hes got a jerkey foot
My kids are 17 and 11. Some of my favorite memories are of just random conversations we had about stuff we were seeing as we drove around. Best part of being a dad.
that is bucket jiggling to level the bucket load
The bloke is pulsing the throttle to pack down the mulch.
GREAT CONTENT RAY, YOUR AN EXCELENT DRIVER ,YOUR MOVIN ON UP!
You need to store diesel. U.S. currently has 23 days of diesel in stock. Just saying
Food too
Outstanding Bro.. We didn't know you have a Son. !! HooAh !!
aaahh the joys of 2 lane roads
sand for the chicken coop makes for easier cleaning of the poop.
Thanks Rainman. 👍
Just remember… Trailer brakes first!
HA! got a load of gravel in our new dump trailer Thursday afternoon, bed wouldn't raise up so we did the same thing and added a 2nd battery and goter dumped. Then notice a new ripple in the bed just under the lift point. Note to self put the load to the aft end from now on.
Did you make some videos about working on the boat?
Still some awesome content 🤙🏽🔥
They goose the throttle to settle the load.
The cool down before shut down. Turbo can be at 1,000 degrees F. Let it idle to drop that temp as well as exhaust manifolds and heads. Otherwise that heat transfers to things like the turbo bearings and overheats such parts.
i like this better, being at home with fam…….american dream
Thumbs up Ray!
He is using the throttle to shake the bucket to give you a level bucket full
*state weights and measurements *
your doggie is not stupid Ray
I think it's less throttle goosing and more compensation for the load on the hydraulics as the pump kicks on/off, on/off. Pretty typical on front end loaders or anything where someone's tapping the control for more measured movements. Also helps shake the load down into the bucket when scooping up. I mean you're right the throttle does increase but it's spinning up to accommodate the h pump which when first activated drops throttle a bit. Normally it would adjust once like they do for a pto but the repeated activation tapping it is causing the idle 'bounce'.
He’s tooggling the throttle, shaking the excess out of the bucket to avoid waste
Many of the machines made within the last few years want to limit throttle and hydraulic pressure to one circuit at a time slowing you down when trying to use shovels and power forward at the same time it’s a trick to get full power and move at the same time
Post what you want. I will watch it.
The manual for a UD 2600 I used to drive delivering furniture said to idle the engine to let the turbo spool down while still having oil flow. That made 100% sense to me. I'm sure the cooling down factor was a good idea too with 95F or more most days in the summer.
I enjoy your videos
Ohh no folks do that here when you pass lol 🤘🤘
Job posbilitys,freedom factory…maybe….
Funny coming from a Cleetus video to a Rainman Ray's and see you roll by the Freedom Factory. It's almost like all my favorite videos come out of Florida.
Keep itup😊😊
Enjoyed this vid, I enjoy all you do. Thanks Ray for keeping us updated in your non working..working work.
omg driving past FF made me think how awesome would it be to see you working for\with Cleet and the team at the Freedom Factory i can only dream
At least this gives you time to do what you need to get done at home
No offense, you can do what you want with your diesel pickup. As a truckdriver with over 30 years experience, & owning farm tractors with diesel engines & pickups with diesel engines, there's really no need for the 5 minute idle cool down with the newer engines. Yes, back in the 70's & 80's you definitely wanted to do the cool down, but these newer engines don't need it. Hell, some truck engines won't idle that long.
Even back in the 90's there wasn't any need to do the cool down.
You can do what you want, it's your pickup😊 it really won't do much damage, just these days engines are better designed, & of course many states & cities have passed no idling laws.
Good luck with your future endeavors. 😊
its to level off the top of the bucket, owner operator here
Your videos are awesome
The engine RPM of the loader is responding to the varying hydraulic pump load when the operator jiggles the control to settle the load into the bucket. It's not an automatic throttle control.
Anybody else having Doodley Doo withdrawals? we should probably form a support group 😎
hell ya brother FF
Glad that you’re back I missed you like your work I enjoy watching you proud of you God will bless you you’re the coolest guy I like watching your videos and thank you for answering me back do you know how to answer back and watch it when you looking for your one of your videos do I see you’re back if you wonder who I am i’m Nelson from the Bronx
That gentleman should have used "chip drop"!
It's actually a nice break and I watch to learn something and that includes everything. If I learn to do it, I don't have to pay someone some crazy price and with the money we are saving is buying us new equipment do do said job better and faster the next time and the money you make doing jobs or renting your equipment just buys more. The internet has got to be the best school ever because you can learn any trade live… it's literally like having a endless supply of professors, without the gender studies, 200,000 different sexes classes, simply awesome people who if there good enough make money on their channels and we get unlimited professional teachers for the cost of whatever you pay for your internet. Thanks for the classes, lol.
“This is Florida, I can do this!”
Truth be told, I did this multiple times last month in Oklahoma. 😂😂
The 6.6 is really feeling it!
I can't stand people who only find their motivation whilst you're overtaking, so occasionally I'll go the whole passive aggression route by slowing them down for a bit once I get around them, but only when it's impossible for them to overtake. Headlights get flashed, faces turn red, and I swear I've seen a bit of steam from the ears once, but if they want to give it they can darn well take it!
That boy is at that perfect age! He wants to spend time with dad! Such a precious little man! Cherish these days, because they grow up so fast!🥲🥰
this guy dumps
Cars going slow speed up for me too when I'm passing them on Hwy 175. I have a Smart Car. I am a guy and I noticed that your thumb nail is clean. You are on vacation, indeed.
thankyou Ray,,any content you create for us is always a pleasure to watch,,👏🤝
always treasure time with our little ones, time just flys by,,it doesnt seem that long ago that i was having time out with my grand children and their mum and dad when they all were growing up,
That's some good crushed Aggregate
I am a subscriber and I plan to stay one as long as you have a channel Ray.
hes settling the mulch in the bucket so its even when poured out
Maybe get the wife to call you on the phone so we can dooo deee dooo……LOL
Ray, one is curious, and if you think the question too intrusive, then of course just ignore it.
I was curious, whilst working at your previous repair shop, when not in conflict, did your employer ever say ; that the free publicity they recieved via your uploads, and given many of the Florida drivers were aware of the place via your youtube channel… Did the YT channel publicity and obvious excelent standard of your work, Did it bring new/extra customers into the shop??
Nice to witness father and son interaction .
It's amazing how much work you do with one hand holding the GoPro LOL!!!
