Hope you feel better soon.
Hello Eric, love your videos.
In my region in norhen Europe, we have the same climate and same salt usage as you guys, but the cars seem to last a lot longer here.
Most cars have some sort of fluid film from dealer and of course we have very few US pick-ups, but still.
Wouldn't it be very economical to give the cars a good underbody treatment when new and after e few years, to extent life maybe 3-5 years?
Bet that's an expensive part😮
Get better quickly
I'll hand it to GM, plastic not rust!
I wiould watch a "Raw and uncut Mr O"!
When you;re sick things are even harder than normal. Get well and have some chicken soup for your aches and pains. 🤗
Raw and uncut X rated….bring it on Eric 🙂
Challenging repairs like this one are always made worse when you feel like crap.
You're a real trooper, Eric. Go home and have Mrs. O make you a big steaming bowl of chicken soup.
Great video Mr Eric thanks
someone needs to learn the ohms law witch is used to make every single circuit.
Great video Eric as always. Look at it this way the hard part in a way is done, getting those brake lines loose without any broke lines. Hope you feel better soon.
I would not like doing this job off of jack stands.
p.s. elbow looks good. 😂
Hoe Lee Chit! What ever you charged for this repair, it was not enough.
Had to replace the brake line on my Sierra from the ABS pump to the right front wheel.
Pain in the ass!
"That's where the saying came from", awesome! Ha!
Those brake lines were self lubricating! You should get one of those ratcheting open end wrenches. Would work perfectly for this
interesting, NY state doesn't require ABS to be operational for inspection whereas PA does require original equipped to be operational. ABS isn't needed for braking if you know how to pump brakes old style
Eric O raw and uncut??? Sign me up😅😅
Many years ago, while helping my dad assemble a 34 Chev engine, I asked him how tight the head bolts should be. (No torque wrench in those days) He said as tight as I could get them. As the first one snapped off even with the block we decided that was maybe that was a little too tight.
Wish he was still around.
my uncles used a phrase, ole panther piss, turns out there was a whiskey back in the day called old panther piss….I had no Idea lol
Could they have picked a worse place to mount that thing?
I am sure as heck, anyone that has ever worked on there own vehicle, knows the lean on the tool box minute while shouting ( WHY WHY WHY ). Thanks much for the video.
Hope you feel better soon Eric.
Whenever I get frustrated at work I will stop at the midget tossing bar on the way home . It was such a stress reliever to throw a midget across the bar
I want to warn anyone considering buying one of those 2014-2018 GM trucks. These trucks are plagued with very expensive failure prone parts. I have a 2016 and my son has a 2018 and they are the absolute worse trucks we have ever owned. Chevy was always are brand for decades but be forewarned this a horrible generation of GM truck.
Every guy who's ever worked the line in an automotive shop wants a copy of that "Eric O Uncensored" video you mentioned! I'd seriously pay money for that…
Seriously… 😉
Sure hope you filled the brake reservoir before you started😂😂😂
Instead of "courage in a bottle", you have "courage in a can".
How true that statement is about not wanting someone else working on your own vehicle , nice video with a lot of everything in it. Feel better bro !
My 2006 Sierra 2500Hd DirtyMAX is “Rust FREE”. After living in Jersey for my first 18 years, the military taught me there’s a non-rust belt. When you said that 2019 is a few years away from the scrape yard; how can anyone afford a new $50k truck every 8-10 years?
Eric O is uncut, too much information!😂
Did Bones retire already??
Was Josh purposefully trying to hit his air ratchet every time you tried to talk? Hahahahah get that guy some battery powered tools!
Nice of GM to stick that sucker in the underbelly. Great video as always Mr O.
Hope you're feeling better soon.
“In my mind this worked a whole lot better than reality”. Loved it Eric O
Having enough money to pay someone to do the work for you is not the biggest issue.
Finding someone you can trust to do the work properly is the big issue.
Eric, Don't you know that if someone takes the time to write it down, IT MUST BE TRUE. Please remember this the next time you read something that you know is wrong😂😂😂
Gravy! 😊
Had an Impala with no communication with yaw sensor. A quick unplug and clean of the abs module connector solved the problem. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with those rusty plastic coated brake lines 😢
Go home and relax tonight Mr. O. No honey do's for Eric tonight either Mrs. O.
The Advertisements are certainly a bother
You have the best advertisement as to why not to buy a Chevy 😅
Fun part is finding the wrench ya threw across the shop after you've bashed your knuckles one too many times.
That was fun.
A few months ago on Iatn they were discussing torquing brake line nuts. They were worried about over-tightening them and deforming the flare. The next time I see somebody using a torque wrench on brake line nuts in an area like you were in will be the first time. Plus a line wrench is what, 6 inches long – how tight can you really get them with that?
why didn't they put that under the hood?
Anyone that turns wrenches knows what that "raw perspective" would be, Eric O! Engineers are probably taken in vain!!! 🤣
Glad I moved south. That's all I can say.
You can do it. Maybe I can do it, but you’ve convinced me that I don’t want to.
👍👍
You bought the 1st class up-grade for your seat on the struggle bus! Much respect for your perseverance day in and day out. Best to you and Mrs. O.
