These are great.
I was wondering why these old videos keep popping up they must still have Revelations.
Eric, living in Florida I wouldn't want anything to do with those rust buckets that you have to deal with, however I understand that the brown color to you means Green pesos. The other day I saw a Cadillac Escalade SUT and the fenders an rocker panels were all ate out which made me think to myself, "that must be one of Eric's customers, he must have worked hard to get that thing to make it all the way to Florida." 😆🤣🤣
Watching this again, it's coupe, saloon and hatch or hatchback.
And you shouldn't talk about your X in front of Mrs O 🙂
Old Eric O vids
Maybe you could move a few things around in the background. You could see how many differences we find
Hatchbacks are 3 door if coupe or 5 door if sedan
I would've at least freshened up timing
We in UK love a cup of tea boot and bonnet love the show lock down special.
she eats healthy
no rust on Pontiac
Right after I type in my comment, Mr O says, My engine is a junker! (ECO-TEC 2.2) I realize that they are known for damaging the valves when the timing chain goes! I just picked mine up second hand & YES, IT HAS THE TIMMING CHAIN RATTLE AT START UP SO, I REPLACED THE TOP TENTIONER BUT, THE NOISE RETURNED! My job cut hours down to 16hrs per week & were always getting done early but, Hours are supposed to be picking up-we'll see-(HOPEFULLY!!!!!) Then maybe I can afford all the timing components but, then I wont have the time… I need to do the timing on my 07 G5 2.2!!!
I'd like to know why my 03 focus pukes trans fluid when I pull an axle vs my 07 Pontiac G5 which does not puke upon axle removal…Must be design! Brother has a friend getting rid of a g6 w/ 2.4 & I am wondering if I could use that drivetrain (engine, trans, & ecu) in my 07 G5 (2.2) WOULD IT WORK & WOULD IT BE AN UPGRADE/MORE POWER?
Future reference,..dust the armrest with talcum powder and inside of cover to make it slide easier!😉
Pb&j is the best . It’s better if you fry it like a grill cheese it so good
Rabbit food again
In the uk you have a 3 or 5 door hatchback, the hatchback means you can access the main car usually by folding the rear seats down, we also have 4 door saloon, where the boot is completely separate from the rest of the car, or we also have a coupe which is like a saloon but only 2 doors
purro pinche motor e transmeessohn.
Good point about the water pump O ring, being "aftermarket garbage". I did a thermostat on my Corolla (same engine). The aftermarket O ring had coolant pissing on the garage floor. OEM O ring hasn't leaked a drop five years later.
We drink gallons of tea in the UK, every day, each… And drive around in 4.6L P38's which we 'pull the bonnet' on more times than we care to mention. Toodle pip…
To be cont'd again.
You forgot to tighten the old sparkplugs in the bad engine to factory specs!
I worked at the plant that made that car.
Brand used engine
change the rear main seal while you have it out because it will leak when you put the motor in.
that's always fun to slip it in right after lunch.
are you going to check the timing chain while it's out?
DARNIT! Wanted to see an engine autopsy….
Hello , Eric after watchin you work so hard I just have to say that for your wife to serve you salad for lunch I really found offensive brother ! Why not give you something a little more substantial ? Like ,oh how about maybe ,
a nice sandwich consisting of sliced black forest ham , turkey , swiss cheese, with leaf lettuce , one slice of tomato .mayo, mustard, and sliced pickle , on rye bread !! with a little potato salad, OH yeah, now THAT'S , a lunch for a master mechanic ,no cooking required either !! LOVE your videos man, your so amazing , BIG FAN , STAY DIRTY !!
Eric if you havent already tune into "Project BINKY " plenty of tea and biscuits there and comedy too !!! more good YT edutainment
….and it never sleeps. (rust) Hey a little salad now and then ain't too bad. Your colon will thank you. lol. Thanks for the video.
You said you have arthritis in the video and then you complained you had no meat for lunch… If you don't like arthritis pain, follow your wife's plan and eat salads and no meat.
would the transmission have come out with the engine?
Sure ,Everytime you go in the office ,,Whats for lunch ? Mrs o "salad " eric o "Any meat " …i feel for ya ..
They call sedans "Saloons" …… whyyyyyy?
Boy you ain't lying about not sending the core back before the replacement is in the car and running. I was doing a 2.6 Mistu mini van. I had the 'new/used' 1 on a stand and the dead 1 on the floor on a pallet. That was on a Friday, and I was off then until the following Tuesday. When I got back, the core was gone… Problem was I had 2 brackets left that were unique to that van, still on the core. My boss thought I was done stripping it. Well, a call to the junk yard revealed that it was 'gone'… It took us 2 months to find them from a California junk yard… That's 2 whole months that my bay was tied up, and 2 months that the customer was without his van.. Ouch.
WOW LOOKS like the compressor missing part of the clutch
looked like the the engine coolant didn't have any antifreeze added. looked like contaminated water… Lol
idea 100 uses for break cleaner for your next addition of SMAR
Pretty silly for the owner not to have the AC fixed while the engine is out of the car, imo. Can't be that hard up he can't spare another couple hundred if he owns a car, right?
Hatch back is called a fast back.
Great life Eric….bless your heart.
Ain't anyone out there that should be givin Mrs O any grief about salad or anything else. You appear to be one lucky man Mr. O
great great video im really enjoyed
You cracked two remarks about people unsubbing in this series. Both made me glance at the sub count when you did and You gained 18 subs from the first comment to the second (~ 2 hrs ). Thought that was kinda neat.
Our Dakota ate the arm rest off my Jeep when we left her in the car for a few minutes as a puppy. It was nothing duct tape couldn't fix on an old jeep. Chris
