But where I work at now he will align it no matter what it needs I feel like that is taking advantage of the customer just like doing an inspection on a car with the C E L on you know it will fail why get over on them like that I've seen alot of shady things take place but I make it clear don't put my name on it
One shop I worked at if it needed anything they would not do an alignment until repairs are made and I agree with that why align the car and it won't stay aligned
I was a county deputy in Northern Illinois, we had the Dodge Charger. These charger were dogs!!! I blew the motor in one responding to a 10-78 officer needs assistance and 2 days after getting the car back I blew the transmission chasing a guy who took off from me. I say yeah you can beat the heck out of someone else's car. I gave that job up to be an attorney. Go figure!! I do however still work on other people's airplanes on the weekends
Another better late than never comment…Wow, I had no idea getting an alignment was so involved. I figured it was tightening a bolt here, loosening a bolt there, Bada Bing, done. "Not so", said the wiseman. What was it like back in day before all of the fancy graphics? Probably a lot more, "Come On Babies" and "You Mother Lov'n Son of Corn Husker". Careful, this is a family channel after all, "watch your language" Papa O' reminds young grasshopper. Always great to see the Mrs. Eric, sorry to tell yuh but you'd never make it on to Hell's Kitchen with them taste buds of yours. LMAO! Keep it up. Always learn something new. ASH
Nice job. I’ve been doing my own toe jobs with a tape measure for years on my own cars. Had one shop get it wrong for me after spending $$$ with new tires. Took it back and guy says that we must’ve hit a curb! Nope, it was never right. Dude tried to charge us again and I refused. After the second run in with that shop on alignment issues, they are no longer in business. Nice to see how it’s done right though. Thanks for the in depth explanation. I’ll now take it to my local place that actually does a before and after printout!
I use to love to Alignments, now im retired
set the toe, let it go…….. NOT !
extrusions is, I believe, the word you were seeking.
The 45 minute tie rod adjustment dance. Have danced that dance many times. Yes, the struggle is real. God forbid you're a tech with even a pinch of OCD and have to perform alignments…
Inpression? Impression? 😄
BIG 3.7 WHAT A JOKE
were big tire eatters
shims were 22 dollars each
i remember ford trucks in the 80s were way off on alinments from the factory
taste tester i see
Not to many shops know how to do this, You are Brilliant. Thanks
Your awesome please just don't say anything more rat on you I sound like that with my kid we be in a store War somewhere around certain types of people And he will say something That could easily get me into a bad situation and let people know that I'm a little more conservative then these freeloaders lol Seems like you're doing a good job raising your children hard working people like you give me hope for America's future
You need to ask your wife if she knows what ormus Or monatomic gold I imagine she probably does but if not you guys might want to look into it Specially since season 2 healthy living It's amazing what it can do for you Many people swear they stopped ageing and their energy levels and overall health is a 100% better
Is there a Youtube video of the owner driving it over a curb thereby necessitating the alignment?
protrusion?
Yeah, a 400 lb man in a Mustang. I feel for the poor car. 😵
So Ford sells a sporty car that has fixed caster and camber?
Yes
do ask if how much your weight
What? No rust??
That's right if your racing you can tune it your way standard use everyday POV factory specs are plenty good
Seriously my mind went to the sub shop because a grinder is what they called them and a raised depression is a hill mount or a ridge or mound or a preficisss
Nice job. I have a 2014 Mustang GT and I've had the alignment checked and adjusted two or three times in 33,000 miles. While it drives straight and has no vibrations, it feathers the tread on the front tires even doing 5,000 mile tire rotations which in turn has made the tires so loud inside the car that it's not even fun to drive. I've had the alignments all done at the dealer and they say that it's always pretty much in spec but they try to get it as close to perfect as possible. They blame it on the factory Pirelli tires which I don't believe because my fiancé's 2007 Mustang GT ran the same tires and never had tire wear issues. They say nothing is bent on the suspension. I bought the car new and it's never been wrecked to my knowledge.
depression/erection
are you in ny? how much would you charge to replace the engine in my 2003 f150 4.2v6 RWD 5 speed manual.
Hey Eric you are so lucky to have a wife like Mrs. O Awesome!!!
I thought he had to borrow the alignment machine at the garbage truck place.
……" i've got the power"….
Just be careful not to Snap anything…
That is some fancy alignment equipment Mr O. Good job. 👍
For the toe setting alignment shops, do they warranty their work for any good length of time? I can see caster and camber going out and them holding out their hand for more $$$ to do an "alignment" again.
You can do your own alignment if you have the Hoffman alignment system that you do. 😛
Why not zip tie the pry bar to the control arm? I would think that this could help with keeping the pry bar located?
Awesome job , Love y'alls personality
I dont get, of the suspensions stock, why wouldnt they make it able to adjust the alignment into spec?
WTH, is this the home ec channel??
Does Mrs O smoke the good stuff
I hate doing alignments
Extremely difficult to find such a responsible and competent mechanic.
Eric, thanks for posting this video, I always wanted to see what is involved when an alignment is done, especially with this new high tech systems. I hope you show post some other alignments in the future. Love the channel, great work.
Hilarious 😂 love your videos Eric O
My grandmother had the exact same plates as Mrs. O.
I'm shocked that Mustang has rust on it. Thought it'd be a Summer car.
I love that Mrs. O just came in and totally distracted your mind, lmao!
Love the channel..I have a 05 Mustang Ive been trying to replace the front lower control arms..For the life of me..I cant get the front bolt out that passes through a bushing..Heat..Oil..Breaker bars..Nothing..
Any suggestions?
