I've had the automated bleed work well. On my 2001 Grand Am. Replaced master and couldn't get rid of spongy. Then hooked up my Tech2Win from GM and selected bleed. Made all kinds of noise, the software crashed but the cars been great since.

Nevertheless, this giant engine from the General is a little mysterious. In the beginning, you would find them in Oldsmobile Motor Division products. As time went on you started seeing this exact displacement under the hood of Buicks and performance models from the Pontiac Motor Division.
Here we'll dig into the history of the record torque producing big block. We will also uncover the difference between a 455 SD (Super Duty) and a 455 HO (High Output). Discover if the Buick, Pontiac or Oldsmobile engine has an advantage over the other. Finally, learn how the 455 benefited during a time when GM's divisions took great pride in making their own engines.
The Oldsmobile 455 Version Olds beat the other GM divisions to market with the first 455 Cubic Inch motor. In 1968 the engine found its way into Oldsmobile's premium luxury muscle car, the 442. They called it the Rocket 455 which became an excellent marketing tool. They based the engine off of the 425 CID found in the 1967 Toronado. In fact, the engine actually weighed close to 150 pounds less than the legendary 454 big block that Chevy used. My wife said go find something at a dealership or something and I tell her every time 99 percent to a 100 dealership unless youโre in America you cannot buy anything but a new disposable Dixie nothing compare to the older vehicles and I will never consider buying anything newer for my self as a driver every day is 1970โs every thing was advertised as it was . Everything past 1980 became clear itโs designed to fall apart .
have seen a few of those cam sensors seized in the front cover. have replaced the cover and sensor before because i wasn't going to break it off and try to extract it and do to the reluctor what was done to that one.
Hello there I have a 2006 Mazda Tribute 3.0, it has 292k miles on it, I work on it myself but I have an issue with something I can't put my finger on, that is that it putts every now and then after reaching speed limit and I did my own diagnostic and the code is P0420 could that be causing the putting ?

I like lock on sockets/ratchets, no contest! I don't mind pushing a button to release a socket, but I hate bending over to pick up a socket that fell on the floor, just because the detent or lock ring was not strong enough to hold the thing in place where it belongs!
Chevy rear brake adjustment, pull the drum, cut the rust lip on the drum in a lathe or equivalent, then adjust by slip feel and bill time and materials.

Subaru: Let me tell you a short story, their engines are wrong from square one! End of story. I don't hate the brand but I loath that horizontal boxer style engine. I mean C',mon, that crap don't even make sense on paper let alone real life use case scenarios. Gravity! Simple concept that Subaru cannot understand. And the rust, oh good GOD, don't get me started on the seized in bolts!
Scan tools? You mean my $20 dongle and my $200 Android tablet can't get the job done? For shame on you, these things are the cats nuts for cheap and dirty, quick and simple! And I can watch porn on my tablet, ya know, just to take the edge off….. I prefer a stand alone scope, a separate DVOM and a scanner. But that is because of how I learned this stuff. Your latest Snapon scanner takes 5 min just to boot, I already diagnosed the problem and proved it with a multi-meter and a stand alone scope in that time. I've got less than a grand into the equipment needed for the job and that Snapon 'whatever' costs thousands and is so far behind the times!

You know Eric, no need for apologies for not being a car guy. I think when you work in any line of products, all day, especially running and building a business, you need an escape from it. I think we all need to step back from what you do all week, because too much of anything, is just too much. I love being a building contractor, built a wonderful clientele of customers, but, I have no interest in joining any clubs, I need my away time. Just how it goes in the world of interests, JMO.
