If you come across an escape with instrument cluster issues I'd love to see a diagnosis video. Seems to be a common issue with the escape and with the symptoms a bad cluster presents makes diagnosis very difficult
What do you do for bedding the brakes ?
(Or, what should you not do the first time using new brakes.)
Dang, I've been on so many test rides with you that if I ever get to Avoca I will know my way around.
Not to be a smart ass cuz I don't know 1% of what you do, but I always put an old pad back between the piston and the piston pusher tool to spread the load.
Those caliper hold down bolts and the pad spring look similar (if not identical) to late model Mercedes ones. Don't remember the supplier.
I love Fords, and I used to be pretty good a repairing them – before they got computerized. Ain't it awful?

We had a 2003 Tribute Escape Twin with the 3.0. Sold it with 384,000 miles on it, original engine and rebuilt transmission about 50k on it.
Replaced the brakes only twice, but the sway bar links 5 or 6 times!!!!
