In a previous video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UyPhfvFDGc I ran through the diag procedure to make sure we were going to order the correct part for this SSR. Now it's time to see if we were right. -Enjoy!

Great Video!, Thanks
Eric!! GM does not make mistakes silly boy!! LOL!!!
Nice diagnostic
I tried this and it fixed my problem Thanks for a great video.
That bird singing in the background the whole time ๐
Stick to your guns. That's what Yosemite Sam said!!!
Now do the right thing and put the bad logics on the trail blazer moter., and tell NAPA its the wrong one
SoLLder SoLLLder SoLLLLder
Way to drop the ball cardone. I'm impressed. Garbage.
Do you have a YouTube channel for Chevrolet 2014 check engine Light on for oil pressure sensor switch please help
I always recall the Mike Jones rule … 'Don't assume it is complicated… it's probably something simple or stupid ' (Mike was the senior system programmer for an IBM mainframe and when a problem occurred and no one figured it out… they'd ask for his help).
Some magic happens. LOL
Do you share with the parts people your solutions to using different vehicle parts to repair other vehicles parts and also do you inform the tech info people when you find their repair instructions are wrong?
Well done and you knew you tested it right and we all see it ourselves too
Nice to see a Tech that thinks for himself
More Chineseium control boards……..pfffft
It's kind of funny that this was a common problem on the S-10's as well. The circuit board would get cracks in it and the wiper would get a mind of it's own.
The bird in the background sounds like the Austin Powers theme song
Lol Eric did a better rebuild on this part than a manufacture that โspecializesโ in rebuilding parts. At this point it should be common knowledge that those gm pulse boards are known for going faulty and should be replaced when rebuilt. Iโll bet you they cleaned up the old board, re greased the motor internals, put power to it to see it it โworkedโ maybe, and shipped it out the door as rebuilt.
Good job Eric !
Hi Eric only experience could really fix this. I have done similar things before. Yes understand the system and check for operation. But the fix was pure experience and knowledge of parts. I was successful in my business because of testing and developing good testing strategies. Like testing ht insulation at temperature. Good when cold but fails when hot. Brilliant work and impressive
Love the magpul sticker on the toolbox
Eric is not a mechanic, he's a true automotive technician. He doesn't just chuck parts at it, he fixes the problem…. no parts cannon here lol
Wish you were local
MODE SWITCH PROBLEM
Who again do you use for electrical schematics? I have learned so much from you and really appreciate your thinking. Hope you are around for a long time.
I like this, experience makes a good mechanic too, just knowing that the motor or circuitry fits from a different car i why we pay mechanics so so much.
And stay away from Chevrolet SSRs. Not enough made to thoroughly vet the service manuals. Can GM be wrong? Gosh, what to you think?
SSR and trail blazer aer on the same platform
Eric are you OK? Why no more videos? Stay safe.. hope everything ok
Chevrolet will keep you in work for ever Eric, bless them theyโll help to get the kids through college
Then you put the defective logic board onto the trail blazer wiper and send it back…. Because there not a sponsor lol
Off topic but wondering what happened to the long arm wj?
I go down the harvesting components to repair a part quite often, is surprising what brands and model ages you can find components to do a repair or parts that easily interchangeable … mainland japan made vehicles being one who used lot of same parts or components for long production times and supplied to other brands too .
Cardone is the Dorman of the rebuilders. Sadly if you get a rebuilt part in the US, chances are it's a Cardone except starters and alternators. In which case are most likely BBB Industries which are also high failure rate. These are from the nationwide parts stores. Dealers can vary.
I just freaking love you man!! You and your family are so awesome and wholesome. Godbless you, Godbless your family and business!!!
I have a 2017 Kia Sedona with 165,000 miles on it. The rear brakes are going to need replacing and the last time I did the brakes on the rear , the left caliper was sticking. Should I replace both calipers when I do the brakes or lube the calipers?
Eric, I've got one for you! Using your diagnostic chain that I learned by watching you, I fixed a weird problem for a guy on a jeep forum that was thousands of miles away just by looking at wiring diagrams. His 97 Cherokee would idle at 1000 rpm until you opened a door, any door, then it dropped down to 750 where it's supposed to be. To keep this short, it all came down to a firewall multiplex connector that had the green crusties! A wire used for high idle crossed with the courtesy light circuit. BAM! Thank you for your incredible diagnostic skills! Now I have a reputation to uphold. I hope I'm 1/2 the man you are.
gald its you , one job i hated was doing wiper repair , unsure why but ….
I just found this channel. Awesome nuff said.
Make sure the firewall that the wiper motor is mounted has a good ground.
Cardone couldnโt figure out that bit of witchcraft? How hard is it to test one of these things before you mail it?
Pick up a resistor substitution box from an electronics supply store and you can test the motors off the vehicle to verify your diagnosis.
Thanks you've been my undercover teacher better than my actual teacher not saying his bad I learn a lot just, they don't teach that way through work not by the hour type work thanks again
What a fugly front end. Trying to make something new but classic looking like Chrysler did with the Plymouth Prowler, a marvel of engineering (versus price). And this is coming from a Chevy person.
The Frankenstein method proved to work the best.
Phew I'm wiped out
Thank you Sir
Hey Eric O. A question here I should really have asked on W.U.W/T . If you had to choose, which would be your top 2 brand vehicles for a) Quality b) Ease to work on/repair c) Affordability in relation to its quality/build and on the reverse, What would be your top 2 brand vehicles for a) Worst quality b) Worst vehicle to work on/repair c) Worst for affordability (most overpriced in relation to its quality/build)
Thanks for the video Eric!
So after tagging the Tralblazer wiper as "logic board-swapped for bad", you took it back to NAPA for the core charge refund?
