Now that all the "work" is done on the Buick we have to geek out on the PC to make all of the rest of it work. I know it is a total snooze fest because it does not involve a cutting torch but hey, it's how we fix cars now days I suppose. In this video I bring you along as I program the side detection modules on this Buick Enclave. Oh and we BS a lil and drive around town . -Enjoy!

Has anybody found a way to protect these from salt, water, dirt, etc that won't pose a fire hazard to make them last longer?
How can I find out if when take my vehicle in for repairs if they reprogram when they change modules
cookies and red bull ๐
I brought a battery charger just like yours at napa last year. When watching your videos. I realize my battery charger same but it's blue. Battery charger works great ๐
Great video got the same problem with my car. In Connecticut , can you fix it for me?
You are awesome!!
Another great video love the wild hair and the farting pig shots that's awesome.
So everytime a side detection module is replaced, it has to be reprogrammed? Also is a Snap On Modis Ultra capable of reprogramming?
What would happen if you replaced it with out programming?
You know Eric you and I have different child rearing strategies. I never remember talking about sticking up a store to my kid that young even joking. Red Bullยฟ Jiminy Crickets. Tell me how your kids turned out when they are 30 would you? My daughter is head nurse in surgery, and my son went 20 years in Air Force Intel. One time in Hawaii he gave his full intel report in Arnold Swartzenegger voice talk when everyone asked for it. So just saying I never told my kids growing up what I had stolen when young and never ever mentioned any street drugs I took. I was aiming for non criminal non lying adults. Not saying your method is wrongo bongo but I took it very serious my children's raising.
I remember back in the day, and at nearly 55 I can honestly say that, 100k was the death โ ๏ธ knell of anything on the road. Rot & rust everywhere, interior likely trashed. Only good thing was they sold for a couple hundred bucks so three, sometimes five cars a year wasn't strange. Buy 'em dying and drive until you need to put a round in the ECM, a mercy killing as it were.
I was weirded out at cars down here in Florida, as long as you didn't live beachside cars go 150, 200 even more. I chat with fellow Hyundai Accent owners and there's some seriously high milers out there. Me? I'm just the opposite. Maintain the hell out of it (free lifetime oil changes, woot!) but don't go anywhere. I put less than 2k miles on it last year. Bought an '07 in '12 with 27k on the clock, just rolled 49k last week. I literally am the (not so) little old lady that takes it to the grocery store once a week.
I really enjoy your videos you're a good dad that's up to you..๐๐๐
Nice job
Majority of folks on here found like family to you Eric .no tech questions at sl
You are blessed with a beautiful family!
Only gay people will understand your delicately nuanced reference to "the old reach around".
I like your choice in music on the test drive!
Haha momma o shut down the red bull ๐๐, you know they are going to say daddy o said it was ok ๐๐๐
Haha a gun,knife and a Zippo๐๐ yup that's what I carried when I was 13๐
No wonder GM has so many programing errors, THEY USE JAVA๐คฆโโ๏ธ๐
Eric, any way to seal those units around the seams/edges with a high-temp silicone to keep water and dirt out of those units?
Love the fast-forward w/music option!!
So are you programming that off the internet/ web site? Or is there a separate program to program with. I figured you have drivers installed for the GM interface
I enjoy watching your BS.
This was one of the better vids.
Some tech, lots of BS and the whole family is on the video. You have a great family and I love it when they stop by in your videos!
whats up Eminem!? bahahahha
Hey. I like to see all your work. But I can also see it makes a 1 hour job 2 hours or more. Nice to see others run into what I run into. Rust belt. Yea, no kidding, follow all the chucks on the road.
"If I can do it, you can do it"… Not this time! I can't afford them fancy programmers…. And even if I could… I'd still bring it to someone else to deal with ๐ Way to make me feel like a parts changer….
SMA / Eric thank you sir for sharing your knowledge!
awesome boss, good-job. Oh yeah, the cookie eaters, Mrs. O keep the crew happy. "-)
GOD Bless You & Yours…amen………… and amen….
Apple pie made in China ? What's next !?
Cookies look awesome!!!! and hope the owner will come back next year to lubricate the caliper pins…..
I like when Eric reams the kid. Don't be drinking in someone's car. That's true!
Just been on the SMA swag store. No cookies ๐
Enjoyed the trip round town. I promise I won't tell anyone, have you ever dinged a customer's car while road testing?

Great, watch a car repair video and end up wanting a chocolate chip cookie. Thanks.
But it was entertaining bs.
What's the test drive song?
$40 for a firmware download? I'm in the wrong business, they are making money hand over fist.
New puppy? And those kids are sprouting up like weeds, they're going to be taller than you and Mrs. O soon!
