In this video you come along as I have a look at 2008 Chevy 1500 that came in with the air bag light on and a code B0084-00 stored in it for the front impact sensor. Super common problem that can usually be figured out with just a visual inspection. -Enjoy!

How to remove back glass replacement
Remove back glass window out 1996chev
What a bunch of crap to deal with.
These Crack and crust from the dissimilar metals of the bushing and the bolt. Just put your choice of waterproofing product on these to vastly extend their life !
Note: No Duct Tape 😀
mr, O wish you were in Massena. What a great video as always. Thanks and keep up the great work
Super helpful, great video. B0100 = mouse chewed thru front left sensor wiring. Spliced, now, OK!
Do you need to disconnect negative battery cable just to replace these sensors?
Did you have to disconnect the battery?
The stealership in Northern Alberta wants $400 CAN for each sensor. Yes, each. Just for the parts. Great video and thanks for taking the time to make a video.
GM jUNK!
Screwnit, don't crash, and save $400. Worth the gamble.
Chevy gitcha coming and going…
Appreciate your understanding of the situation!
You sure it’s not the Chevy d-bag light on? Jw
Fixed my Duramax today. 1 airbag sensor in middle of radiator bracket. Not 2 like the 1500’s. B0103 code.
It's always the subtle border-line rated G jokes – "Reminds me of my teenage years." I'm a school teacher, and with practice and walking a fine line, it's possible to make those cracks in class. One kid in the back might get it.
Have done any gm clock springs with the little window built in ? U line up the yellow stripe in the window..
That Bosch is "SiC" ~
Hey Mike have watched your channels and learned alot but on this one i have to disagree with you, i have had a course on this many years ago and the instructor we had made it know to us just because your light is on does not mean the system is disabled, if you look up on pro demand under description and operation then air bag indicator it states, the presence of a SIR system malfunction COULD result in non deployment of the air bags it does not say the system is disabled , just wanted to share this with you ty
My truck has been making my front impact sensors bulge, bust open, and get crusties all over it. My opinion is that all 08 GM trucks are junkyard quality at this point, between the FPCM and other common issues.
My you have so many different brand scan tools, do they go bad, are they real costly?
Hi Mr. Eric..
Thanks for that video.. And I hope you have an answer to my question
I have a 2005 Hyundai elantra had an accident last year and steering wheel airbag inflated… I replaced it with new unit but I've looked at the engine bay for that impact sensor but unfortunately I can't find it either itَ may be hidden in somewhere or it does not have one at all… Could you please confirm that for me.
Do the air bags lights need be off to pass inspection?
Should have Mrs O tap on the sensors while your sitting in the drivers seat with the key running in drive . See if the light goes out .
And this is why I dont own a Shitvrolet GM product.
. What a joke dude.
Talks about aftermarket being junk while literally replacing the OE because its broke in half lol. Gotta love Eric.
haha I seen B0085 =P
I would not trust aftermarket crash sensors!! F that
Freudian references always observed….teenage years….I am amazed you are still standing!
Thanks for the video.
will the tpms code tell you which wheel?
Eric, was wondering about the bosch scanner you use. How do you get updates to the tool? I have a snap-on and I'm sure you know the drill with them that you need to update it twice a year to be current. would love to speak with you more about that bosch unit if you wouldn't mind.
Great video Eric O @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
That horn sounds weak. But hey, the dash is not cracked!
Trying to think when the last time I heard a Mechanic use the word "suffix"…..Never! LOL.
Great video and thanks for all you do! Jim.
Do you need a picture on the fan shroud? LOL
Hey erico I have a serious question. What lab scope would you recommend. I see you use a few different ones. I am currently torn between the Snapon and the peico. Both are 4 channel, and I’m new to scopes but I am eager to learn and am very Intrested in them and how they help with diagnosing and overall quality of the repair. I hope you can give me some feed back. Thank you.
Good one. Thanks.
Man, over 200 duckies! Be hard to choose that if an aftermarket parts was 50 quackers!
Pick n pull here I come!
Bought mine at the u pull $5.99
My luck is the ratchet changes direction while using it.
Bro, my airbag light came on yesterday and I put a brand new sensor in and still have an airbag light. My buddy says it's probably something to do with the computer and I put one of those in and yet I still got an airbag light! What is wrong with my truck bro???
All my parts were brand new from Amazon too!
I know you can tell me what's wrong…don't worry I will wait for you to drop everything to tell me what's wrong with my truck.
😂😂😂👍
LOL! "Reminds me of my teenage years". Savage.
Eric, excellent video. Do you need to disconnect the battery before working on the system? Just wondering. Ivan also just did an SRS video. Blown fuse on a Chevy Traverse. Trying to stay virus free down here in East Patchogue Long Island. Many cases. Stuck in house so keep videos coming. Thanks much Artie ❤️
I tried the horn garage door opener but mine kept throwing the one finger fault code on me…….
Built to fail steel bolt aluminum spacer =galvanic corrosion.only install o.e. new parts on airbags
"Get that great GM feeling" at $200 a crack! "Thank you, Mr. Goodwrench!"
So, does Mrs O just stand by the door all day waiting for you to honk so she can open the overhead door? lol
First the low profile teardrop ratchet, now X-frame ratcheting wrenches? You turning into an SK guy?
At least the proctologist lubes the golve before going in.!
