In this video I have a look at Chevrolet Cruze that came in with a misfire complaint and an overheat complaint along with the customer concerned with a loud cooling fan. This one does not end well. -Enjoy!

Why wood u say no Internal leaks
is it possible to loose coolant through the turbo into the exhaust!
Hey my antifreeze hose blew off while driving and now my car won't start, I can clearly see that some of the antifreeze sprayed into the spark plug reservoirs.. would this be the reason why the car won't start now? It turns over just fine , just never kicks on
What do I have to remove to see the piston in ford Mondeo 2010 diesel
I donโt have a misfire but I do have coolant lose and canโt find a leak. I was thinking it was from air in the systems from when I replaced the water outlet and a hose and didnโt get all the air out. But Iโm starting to think itโs going into the motor.
Would that stop leak that Scotty talks about work on this leak?
Try "Abro super seal".
it might solve the problem without taking out the engine head.
I have a Chevy cavalier and it's losing coolant too and no visible leaks. It does that and it also overheats In traffic but once I'm on the highway it's goes back to temperature.
I severely regret buying my current chevy cruze and wish I could return it. Its been problems after problems.
my comment ? Dextcool is the problem…Dextcool ( Dextkill )eats this GM gaskets…it's very corrosive…
Just changed my oil cooler, cooling fan, water pump, oses, thermostat, coolant heat sensor , and still having oil in coolant and a dripping of oil. I am scared
Man you have saved me a ton of head scratching i have been a mechanical for 30 years but I didnโt tie the low coolant to the missfire i changed plugs injectors and coil compression test the while nine yards with rhe same result keep doing your good work i really appreciate it!!!
I recently changed the thermostat along with the coolant cause i had an overheating issue. Did a thousand kilometres and the coolant is on low in my container. I got no leaks and not oil and water mixing. Is it a failing head gasket? Thanks in advance
So what is the fix for something like that? and how does the coolant make its way into the piston?
Thank you for that tip i think I know weโre i need to check out
So what was it how was it getting in there head gasket or?
had this on No2 cylinder and it turned out to be a cracked head.a dozend of magic headgeasket sealants did not work so I ended up putting a used head in it… at the end it sounded that bad on some cold starts I feared it would bend a rod or crack a piston due to hydro lock… on the last few days I also go exhaust gas in the coolant under boost.. everytime I hit the throttle I heared massive bubbles rushing through the heat exchanger
Why does my 2015 Chevy lt only overheats when I drive faster than 35mph?
So how would you fix that us it fixable?
I have a 2015 chevy cruze lt turbo and it smells like something is burning rubber, I had a anti freeze flush.
Is that laptop a WIN BOOK LOL
How much would something like that cost to fix. I think I have that issue
Hey thats cheap. Only a 50 dollar part.
I was expecting a bench of naked Europeans to appear when the steam was clearing. โHey, Eric, put the plug in, weโre losing steam!โ
My little sisters car had that same symptom when the head gasket went. Like it was running on 3 cylinders then it cleaned out enough of the water to finally start firing.
This is a german Opel Ecotec engine. In Germany, we say "Ecodreck" instead of "Ecotec" because it rhymes so nicely. "Dreck" means "dirt" or "Schmutz" as Eric would say ๐๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Greetings from Bavaria ๐๐
These vehicles are such turds. But to be fair, most anything associated with GM nowadays is a turd.
Iโm having the same problem with my 2014 Cruze ..Iโve taken it to 3 mechanics…Meinke couldnโt find a leak put dye in told me to drive for 2 days and bring it back , I did there were no visible leaks anywhere but I was out of coolant …Went to Jim Glover Chevy they replaced the water pump 3 weeks later I was out of coolant again took it back to Glover and they could not find a leak …Took it to Tate boys everything is working fine they could not find the leak either that was Monday 8/10..just went out to check my coolant and guess what No coolant!! No leaks on the ground nothing !!!
Hey don't tell anybody or they will want steam cleaned pistons too. I will have to get that camera. I now have to see what happens next.๐ณ
The first thing I thought of was bad battery when you said it was shaking when it started. If it weren't for the coolant loss that would have been the winner.
Thanks! After changing a leaking water pump last month, I'm still losing coolant and can't find the leak. I also have the shaky start up and the smell of burning coolant, so now I know where to look. I take really good care of my vehicles, but I've had nothing but problems with this car (2015 Cruze LT).
Great video thanks
What abouts would it cost to resurface head/new head gasket? Assuming there is no extreme warping?
Blown Headgasket sounds like the problem. My 2002 Subaru Outback had 2 bad headgasket issues. One at 171k miles and one at 232,000. I noticed at time there were non visible leaks and external leaks from the coolant. Subaru are known for that problem but I rather own a Subaru than any GM product. Boy I have heard bad reps with them such as overheating issues, rotted frames and burning oil.
Thanks bud. I have been experiencing the exact same issue.
I wonder if this car also blows white smoke from the exhaust ? Showing the coolant being burned ?
I have the coolant problem but #1 is not misfiring please help me
I have the good old eBay special 5mm for the homegamer, it's fun to poke around my Renix Jeep XJ with it.
This isn't just a Chevy issue. They all Trash now days..chevy,ford, dodge, Toyota, Honda, Nissan… All trash. Pick your turd! The car industry in general. Buy an old vehicle and fix it up, you would be better off.
My wife has a 2012 Cruz with all the bells & whistles, heated leather seats etc. ย 143,727 miles on it and never gives her a bit of trouble. Regular service i.e. oil changes etc. according to the manual and still runs like a top. How come??
I need an update, head gasket? Cracked head, cracked cylinder wall?
I've been losing coolant, gonna have to get the scope.
Typical POS EcoTec.
Why do people buy these crappy cars?
I had a sonic,practically the same car…coolant loss
i cant believe how poor the newer GM cars are smh
Dear Friends!!!!! This is a very important message. Anyone who buys a
new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into the
trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service, the
company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a
malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help
will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep
your money safe.!!!๐๐๐๐๐๐ฌ๐๐ฌ๐๐
Cracked pistons are pretty common on the 1.4 engines pre 2017.5 where they changed the pistons.
It's about time you got one of those cameras. What took you so long?
