In this video I try out my brand new Miller Millermatic 211 welder I just purchased to replace my old and broken Mac Tools MW135. It appears this one should fit the needs of the shop and hopefully lasts a long time. -Enjoy!

Nice job Mr. O !……..My step dad & uncles shoved a stick (old Lincoln buzz box) in my hand when I was in my late single digits. I thought they were doing me a favor and being nice teaching me. Turns out they wanted me to learn so they could push stuff off on me….lol. It started me out on a life of it all…..I attended Ag classes and welding schools throughout my school years and it's been an amazing skill to learn…….new stuff all the time. Learning never stops……and a fun part of life.
would have liked to see you cut the weld to show penetration really cool video nice job
Looks to me like those are excellent beads! Nice work!
First time using sweet welds I like what i am looking to buy a mig and I am a miller fan anyways I weld stick all the time and I have a miller inverter DC and love it. Been welding 40 years mostly stick welder, looking to get into mig just for the fun of it. I like what I am seeing on the Miller 211. Thank you for the video
nice new toy it will pay for itself in no time.
🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
How is the welder after two years?
Millers best.
How do you like the Miller 211
How is it holding up 1 yr later? 🙂
It's obvious that eric isn't a welder otherwise he would have noticed that those weld beads were as good as you get for welding dirty uncleaned metal. Speaks to how nice that machine is.
Beautiful
nice
Thanks for the demo. Those welds look really good for first welder use.
Holy shit! That’s what I’m aiming for!!! That’s textbook, IMO.
Not bad for a mechanic
I really like the box!!!
The Millermatic 211 is great machine. I have been welding since high school mid 90th and the 211 I use it for outside installations( fluxcore or gas) great video 👍🏼👍🏼
THE BEST MECHANIC + SUPER GOOD WELDER. GOOD JOB Sr.
Dang nice weld! Thanks man.
It’s called a boilermakers Hat
nice welds Mr O, i have a Miller 175 im going to check out the 211. looks like a nice welder.
I like his channel in the work he does but why does it always sound like he has a slur or his nose is plugged up when he talks
How's that 211 workin ? Mine sucks and after warranty it's not going to get used after the fix. I'll sell it before it whacks me again.
unfortunately that skipping is a characteristic of our miller 269455welders. I cant stand it. i'm hoping when i get one of those big ground clamps from Hazard Fraud that it will eliminate the skipping but I have my doubts, I think miller dropped the ball and id yet to pick it up..
Send my regards to the boys in cooperate
I predict a Wrought Iron Railing fence getting built at Eric's house. 👍 That welder is the perfect size for jobs like that.
Welding is something I never got a good hold of… can't even compare to your "un"professional results. I only ever got some passable results with sticks 46 and 63 (not sure if you have them named so, 46 is a "black" steel, somewhat porous, and 63 is acid resistant).
63 gave a neat silvery and bluish bead, was easy to strike and never stuck.
For the 48 stick, I can well relate to why it is called stick welding. It kept sticking and it was hard to strike.
Nice mig welder Eric.
As long as you don’t burn through.
Hey Erik Good luck Miller is a Great Machine ,,,I have one and after using 3 other Mig welders ,,Its the best and smoothest welder i have ever used ,,,One sugestion,,My welding suppliers , tell me i should run on the 220 Volt phase as it will give me more stable welding and penetration on all different modes from lite sheetmetal to heavy 1/4 inch frames or even castings,,One other things to check make sure the correct feed roller was put in for whatever wire you are running ,,When i started with mine it ran ok but just seemed to pulse a little ,,i checked and it had an .030 and Since mostly welding sheet metal I like 023 for liter welds ,,Am sure it will give you many years of service
My new Miller 211 is waiting for me at my local vendor. Picking her up on Tuesday, 6-30-2020. I’m a car hauler. Cracks are a certainty on car hauler trailers. Thx for the video. Enjoyed it.
you should never go towards youre ground while welding it create a magnetic force thats why it was skipping or what ever ahah 🙂
Been a mechanic since i was a teenager too
And as for wire lincon makes the best as for gas 90/10 mixture 90 argon 10 co2
Been a professional welder for 27 years it sounds good u could back the wire speed up a little too get it too spray more but your beads look good always run good wire miller is the top of the line
Picked up one of these from the local supply shop today. Set it up and on the very first weld it came out perfect. The auto set mode is like cheating.
I started learning on a HTP 2400 and that is also a good machine but the stepped power settings on thinner stuff were just not good enough. Too cold or too hot I found a lot of the time. Last year I bought their new 220 pro pulse and that thing was a total POS from day one. Never ran right and the only thing it was good at was burning the wire into the tip and burning your patience right along with it.
Thanks for the demo Mr. O. Now I have an idea of which welder to either buy or compare it too.
“I’m not a professional welder” looks about a 1000 times better than the vast majority of exhaust shops in the area lol
Who taught you how to weld Eric, the New York Reformatory for " Up and Coming Auto Techs. ? Really slick welding the Bud.
beautiful welds!! Love that machine!!
Nice welder. I like how "new" inverter welders have on-demand fans. First Gen 211 was transformer based, now I have an inverter unit with auto-fan. Small detail, but for some reason very nice.
Can mrs. o Barrow it to make a grill cheese sandwich fast
Really enjoyed this video.
Rather than trying to impress everyone with a bunch of technical bullshit, you just showed how a regular guy, doing a regular job, would use this machine and then told us what you thought of it.
Thank You!
I’m looking to replace my old worn out welder and will buy the 211 based on this video.
Thanks again!
You are scary good.. Nice.
Ooooo, new toy!
I have an older Miller… very sweet. So sweet my dad borrowed it and I haven't seen it for two years.
Nice little welder. Hope you get years of good service.
I really like the Miller welders I am welding for over 30 years I worked on so many brands.
I think you got the right welder for your shop.
"I'm not a welder or claim to be" than you just lay the best bead 🤦♂️
Nice welder
