In this video I swap out the electric fan cooling fan in a 2013 Nissan Sentra that started to make some loud clicking noises. I wanted to get it replaced before it crapped out completely. -Enjoy!

You don't say how you git it out of the clips
My 2013 sentra fan not coming on and overheating. I change the ECT
sensor. Nothing change. Fan works for Air con. Any help will be great!
Hi, in my 2015 nissan sentra, Fan not coming on at all when its required and lead to overheat. But working When AC turn on. I replace the temp sensor but didnt change anything. Can you please advice? Thank you. Doesnt seem to have anything else wrong in cooling system as it working perfectly on driving and the heater circuit works ok as well (in controlling the heat when its over heating)
So, my daughter's '14 Nee-san Sentra let the smoke out of the cooling fan and now it doesn't work. (Those electric fans run on smoke, you know.) I gave it a spin and it sounds exactly like the one you pulled out in this video Eric. Pretty cool to have a video from SMA that shows me exactly what to do. If Eric can do it…
When you switch to the short fast forward sections, especially when ratcheting; it reminds me of the old "6 million dollar man" TV show. You should look into it and see if you could use that sound effect for those sections. ..or not. Thanks for another great video!
GOOD REVIEW & GOOD CAR.
The Thompson screw and driver just doesn't sound right.
How did u remove it
Im struggling
I cant get the fan off
Another winner from Nissan – fan replacement book time 10 hours…..
Buy a Corolla people. Nissan hasn't made good cars in a long time.
Nissan sunny 2003 how can I replacement
Does this fan make the ac get cooler other than the one it has in the cab? My wife’s car ac doesn’t blow cold unless she’s driving it on the road
Did what you did but the fan will not turn on .
whats the price for the fan?
i’m doing this right now, and i’m stuck on how you pull off the fan plug?? 😂 please help, do you press it from the side?
I never know if he's joking or not when he says "Well that was easy".
this was great – seeing how the fan motors work with that pico really made me think. so when i replace the fans now over 100k get brand new ones because they run smooth.
fingers lakers
Nice job again like always
"Well, that was easy" after removing 49 things to get the fan out. Sure.
If I tried this repair, I'd have to give the Customer a bag containing all the parts that I forgot where they came from.
most cooling fan failures are just simply the carbon brushes in the motor are worn out and it no longer operates, worn motor bearings if it has sleeve bearings, or the electronics if the unit has a brushless dc motor as most vehicles are coming with to vary speed. as most vehicles they use a permant magnet DC brushed motor. some have two or 3 fans depending on the vehicle.
Ahhh and yet again, my 2000 grand Prix with 284,000 miles has the original yes the original cooling fans and they both work on hi and low speeds. And you do not have to drain the radiator to change them…
I did change out the original radiator at 253,000 miles.. very easy to do!!!
Car companies are the worst.. Make a body then try and jam everything in and try to make it fit..
I like the zerex antifreeze it works great
That fan sounds like the old days when you put a paying card in your spokes of your bicycle
Great video Eric O
Why didnt Nissan push the radiator close to the grill that empty space makes no sense
Just can't see what your pretty wife saw in you, she must have been really impressed with your tools! 🙂 Thanks for the Vids Bro.
I thought the 100k service on these was replacing the CVT and shipping it down the road
If you unbolt the fan from the motor you'll probably find a piece of broken plastic under there. All that was really needed was a plastic fan, not a new motor assembly.
Anyone else notice the misspelling of South main auto in the lower left corner?
Makin noise like a deck of cards clothes pinned to the spokes of yur bike. Man! always sounds better on the kids bike than the fan
Eric,
Great video – thank you! Dont these fans usually come out the bottom without having to remove much? BTW Ivan would have taken it apart and removed the baseball card and clothes pin 🙂
SMA#1
God bless
Paul
If Eric ran for president of th U.S. I'd instantly vote for him-he'd fix every problem the country has and then some….would make for the best president ever hands down….Lol!
Thanks for another fine vijeo. How's that new air hose working out?
Now show replacing the spark plugs on one of these…
Dude, I just replaced cooling fans on my 05 caravan, had one that was vibrating so bad I thought my transmission was fixing to fall out.
The 2003 Nissan Sentra has easy accessibility. for the Cooling Fan. Totally different design.
Good Job
I have Asian Blue in my Subaru Forester and the Dealer is telling me that it's good for 100,000 miles?
What do you think about that? And is it better than the Pink Dexcool?
It’s is troubling to see so much removable plastic before you do the repair. Nice job.
Working on a Renault lol no where near a real Nissan
If you're all done with your air tools I've got room to store them.
hi ,,,ever come across 2009 toyota corolla intermitently keep pulse width (34 ms) in start mode and flood engine?

Well there's your problem lady! You've got a hat stuck in your engine
Do you ever take notes of the removal sequence?
