You prob.wont see this but-Its funny, I have the exact question about 1 scanner. I also have older verus & solice & wanted to ask same question about "if you could buy just one". I run a shop in connecticut. love the channel!
Hey Eric, I just watched the video where ms Hanna and ms Marie changed the lower control arm. Your girls are the cutest and I am truly impressed with you and your entire family! Congratulations
Hey Eric,ย I would love an aftermarket air intake that would move the inlet from the front driver side wheel well, to somewhere where it wouldn't suck dirt and snow into the filter box????????? Drove my 14 f150 in a snow storm, for the first time since buying it new, from the Bakken Oilfields home, which is 9.5 hours away….2 hours into the drive, truck would only shift into second gear and would not go over 55 miles per hour…pulled over and noticed the air inlet hose all sucked in. Took the air box cover off and the filter was pushed up in the middle and the box was chuck, completely full of snow. From researching online this isn't a "Ford" only problem. Pretty stupid place to "get" air from, in my opinion. But then again, I use the truck and I'm not smart enough to be a "car company engineer." PS Edit: Eric………have been watching your channel for a while now and I thought that Hanna was your daughter????
If you haven't discovered your ailment yet…… with you living in New York, its what they consider "The Goiter Belt". Its called that due to the Great Lakes being a fresh body of water and containing no salt; containing no iodine. Which then creates an iodine deficiency in the soil and then finally the food.
The symptoms of a goiter or iodine deficiency is trouble swallowing, lump on neck, tiredness, lack of energy, weight gain for no reason, trouble waking up in morning, poor motivation, joint pain, always cold, and/or dry eyes. The thyroid regulates many of the bodies functions and the thyroid gland will expand (lump in front neck) in trying to absorb more iodine from the diet. Iodine is mostly found in seaweed (kelp, etc). But due to contaminates and pollution it is not recommended. A liquid concentrate would be more beneficial.
They add a miniscule amount of iodine to salt, but the refined white salt outweighs any real benefits.
You don't seem to have very many of those symptoms, but if you do decide to take an iodine supplement, be sure that's its from a good source such as "Lugols". Its $25 and shipped from New Hampshire. Be sure to take selenium (brazil nuts) along with iodine. Its VERY crucial and both nutrients depends on each other for protection.
I live in Ohio and developed similar symptoms as you and it cured my symptoms and then some. I did a lot of research, and maybe this will help you or anyone you know.
Fun fact : in early 1950s South Carolina had license plate covers that read "The IODINE State".
The problem with VW and aftermarket radios is the harness adapter, which has been fixed in recent years. They pinned what they thought was power antenna, so if you connect you new radio to that wire you are sending 12 volts on one of the CAN lines.
Love your videos! Very informative! I try to watch them all! Hannah is awesome as well. (,Love the glasses) lol! The videos are the best, Keep them coming!
Hey there hope all is well ? 2005 Dodge neon driving fine out of no ware my Rpm jumped straight up began back firing and code P0068 and P2074 came up twice looked up codes in my Haynes repair book was fine at start but when I pushed on gas paddle same thing happened codes came back too help please .
Senior O. While I did watch your soldering video you are speaking of, and did cringe at first, you did a bang up job of getting those little bulbs soldered on. Believe me, I am a IT Director and Middle School teacher, and one of the "projects" for my students was the little LED Christmas tree you are speaking of. I was able to teach the kids enough skills to where ALL of them had a working tree by the end of the project. None were perfect, but all worked. There are 100 different ways to accomplish this type of work, but in the end if it's reliable and works your skills will only get better with practice. I would never critic someone in the manner you were, if they are absolutely trying. You have enough experience to know already what needs to be done, and will develop and hone your skills over time just like anything else in repair, and I bet that customer was super happy to have lights once again on that AC controller!
lol at what goes in ur "hoohoo", catheter is the same device that goes in all/many things medically… :)) I;'m no doctor/nurse/etc, but no dummy either, hoo-hoo, made me lol otherwise;)
colostomy bags suck royally and are hard to live with, but are a fact of today's life, I have multiple friends with such issues. I don't ask nor talk about it, other than if they want to and I'd never have know unless the told me. real world skills at your service ๐
motor oil cologne, aka natural mechanic, I did that for years in the 90's. mixed with electrician and plumber, none of the ladies that chased me did I want ;)))) well one of the three, I should have chosen and married. kicking self still today, but then again, less stress, not many bills, can blow $$$ wen I ant n what I want. never NEEDED nor had a credit card in my life ๐
I work with an electrical engineer with 20+ years of experience in the power supply development and deployment field. Retired early due to stress/health issues and now fixes our equipment at the university on a part-time position. He is a genius with electronics, solid mechanical skills, and a precision circuit board worker. He pronounces it loud and proud as "sodder" so I'll keep my version and take a side of kma to boot.
PBS is now busily researching for an upstate NY series called " This Old Garage" Bob Vila is being called back to star as an apprentice mechanic for the series. Other titles floated have included "Life Under The Rack" and " The Exhausted Mechanic"
Reference to Soldering… Mr Eric O, you worry way too much about what OTHERS worry about. You get A+ credit for helping your customers with tasks outside your primary skill (successfully). In the end if what you're trying to accomplish works, you soldered it correct enough. Great Job!!
For once I had a Wednesday night off and was finally able to catch your WUW live. It was a lot of fun. JMAN if you're reading this, I misled you in the chat. Sorry I was engaged in another conversation off site regarding relative compression. For a leak down test, yes, you do need to remove the spark plugs as thats your access point to thread in the hose, as you would for a regular compression test. Sorry for misleading you. Hope you fix your escape.
It's not all techs that smell like old men, just the good ones

High idle on a carburetor could be a choke not opening all the way and it's still on the high idle cam.
Love your channel. You always make fixing stuff look so easy.
