I know this video is old, but i checked my truck and it says "P0453 Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/Switch High" but the video says "P0453 FTP sensor high voltage". Is the code different for different vehicles?

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! derwood 454 says:

All the 40 years I've been a wrench I've never heard it called "the money light" love it I'm using it thanks.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Travis Pittman says:

What would be a cheap scan tool to access that data and perform those tests? I have a 449 code. I assume it is the solenoid. But want to do the tests.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Reyna says:

Another college course I can attend. Keep at it professor…I learn a lot.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cedrick G says:

Eric, what type of scanner are you using

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Timothy A says:

One thing I can't figure out. Why do people bring their vehicle's to you for money light. Only to take it somewhere else for inspection?

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Paul Mann says:

    👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟👍👍

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ranger Rick says:

Yup… before starting this video my first thought was vent solenoid.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars wayne baker says:

for those of us who doesn"t have a test probe, can I use a test light????

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars WishpoolVocal says:

Would this cause the fuel to back up while filling the tank with gas? My s10 backs up terribly while fueling up. What could be the cause of this?

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars cujoedaman says:

You mention a missing gas cap as possibly an issue, I'm wondering if my filler neck is causing the same codes. If I fill up all the way, I get a spill back behind the side of the bed, right at the top of the fuel neck and on really hot days, I can definitely smell gas, even though there's none leaking on the ground (probably just vapors). I need to replace my fuel pump anyway and was going to look at repairing/replacing the neck, this might solve my problem!

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nelson Valdez says:

    So what is p0452

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jose Nazario says:

    Money light on. Lmao

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steven Mitchell says:

I love my power probe use it all the time just fixed my canister valve today with it 👍

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars m3talc0re says:

Could you do these test without the $1,000 scanner nobody here would have, please? I've got a persistent P0452 on my 02 silverado and I've yet to find a video to help me… Especially only having a more basic OBDII scanner and a multimeter.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nick K says:

Money light lol, that’s a good one!

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 999 777 says:

Got the P0449 code and the engine light is not on.Could someone have cut the wire to the engine light or is the problem not severe enough to make the light come on?

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Russell Booth says:

Yes,I did find the actual cause of my check engine light in my Chevrolet LS1 V8 powered Holden Commodore,on Wednesday,I was sitting at the service station waiting to use the air line to pump my tyres up.

When I started the engine back up,the check engine symbol became switched on (it's on an LCD screen) ,when I got home,I scanned it & got a P0171 code, previously,I got a P0174 code as well,I sort of noticed that the O ring was split & all hard on the fuel filler cap.

So, I bought a new cap on Thursday which has fixed the problem, the fuel tank wasn't holding any vacuum & I noticed that the idle speed changed (dropped) momentarily once I bought a new cap & fitted it onto the filler neck.

Since my car isn't fitted with a fuel tank pressure sensor no P0442 code is listed for the Chevrolet LS1 engine in Australia since Holden don't use one,all I can go off is the lean codes !

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars El Patron says:

Nice how you advertise another youtuber

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Derrell Daniels says:

I have that code, p0440. My gas neck is leaking when I go to filler up! Could that cause my code! The fact that it is leaking. I did look for the fuel neck assembly. GM discontinue that for the 2000 Chevy Tahoe. But I can get it from different places. So again the fact that my fuel neck is leaking when I put gas in it could cause that code?

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tuck Smith says:

I have the same problem on my 2001 Chevrolet S-10

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars slime bucket says:

Have you ever worked on a Hyundai Equus?

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ezydusit says:

As I'm not a mechanic, it fascinates me how you mechanics get to the heart of problems. I really like watching your process of fixing cars. If you were my mechanic I know I'd be in good hands. Unfortunately I have to use the dealer, as there seem to be no local guys of your caliber near me. Thank you for your videos and sharing your knowledge of cars with us.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars marty says:

Eric: what's that poster on the wall mean?? "I'm no Rocket Fish"?

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars SATAMAN Schmidt says:

Eric, I've got a great suggestion. How about a greatest hits video of the top 10 rusted out POS that have ever been in a SMA video? This pristine, driven by a little old lady only on Sunday, special has got to be included. You could search every junkyard in Arizona and never see anything close to this bad.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars steve's auto repair says:

Does that pass inspection in new York with the cab corners and rocker panels gone like that ?

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Smitty Smithsonite says:

Same body condition as my brother's '02 2500 HD (Duramax) was in 4 years ago. 😞

Gotta love GM – they sure know how to make money! Sell the truck for $40 LARGE (at the time- much HIGHER now), rake in dough on sub-par parts, then 12 years later, it's going to the scrapyard, and people run right back to a GM dealer for another! Amazes me.

Great demonstration of why you ALWAYS need to verify a repair! I've had a few lately that have had more than one issue in the same system. Gotta slow down to go fast – take the time and CHECK. 👍

Wish I could've seen the keychain – sounds like my kind of humor. 😁

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars wyattoneable says:

I was trying to think of something cool to say but Tom already made an awesome comment. I'll just say "good work" and move on. 🙂

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Aaron Johnson says:

I’m so glad you didn’t use the Tech2, it’s a tool for GM elitists.

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars StopDropandLOL says:

Ok, I’m kind of curious now what was on his key that was so funny? I’m sure you can censor it better with text right? 😉

Awe man, I watched part 2 first, then part 1. It's like dividing by 0. I'm all messed up now. Nice job sir.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars throttle bottle says:

a hillbilly trick is tickle them with 28 to 30 volts in very small bursts. sometimes they break loose and work for a while. but failure is imminent :))

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Auto Tech says:

I bought a power probe 4 back when they came out because I thought it had some neat features. I think the only thing it’s been used for is applying power or ground..
Nice touch with the flatrate master music 👌🏻

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars the GADGETS playlist says:

    rusted rocker panels📌
    ABS light "ON"📌
    EVAP codes📌
tell me what make of truck we're dealing with…

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Fedwrench says:

Great evap video!!! was that Flat rate Master's music playing as you raised the vehicle?

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ja cu says:

A suggestion on new videos would be a clock spring on a 2007-2014 GM full sized truck tahoe or suburban (GMC equivalent). And do the ABS module replacement on 1999-2006 GM truck tahoe or suburban. Thanks for the vids!!!

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars CJ Kent says:

    Good video….good music.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Joyner says:

    Sweet blues music!

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay Con says:
