In this video we finish off the mini project by performing a wheel alignment to make sure it is sitting nice and straight and will not ruin the new tire we mounted and balanced. We also check the balance on the tire that Walmart put on. Oh we also harass the help at my brothers shop! -Enjoy!

Good job amigo
I missed seeing the donuts. There was donuts wasnโt there?
I drove an 08 Fusion for 495K miles. I changed those control arms and tie rod ends myself in the driveway! Royal pain in the a**. I was able to do it all except remove those bushings. Those I took to a local shop and they pressed them off for me. I have said for years that all automotive engineers need to spend a year or more wrenching on what they design. I bet we would see a lot less of the BS we encounter. I love your channel, keep up the great work!
This is the first time Iโve watched a 3 part video series on YouTube and was generally entertained as well as educated. Great videos and very helpful. I have a 2010 Ford Fusion with 225,000 miles. I just did front struts (loaded) and rotors and pads as well as a sticky caliper. Unfortunately after I was done, the front was way high; I ended up removing the tabs that stop the strut from moving down farther and itโs back to the usual ride height. (I did this because I didnโt want to replace the rear springs because there really wasnโt anything wrong with them other than the ride height). Do you see any issue with me removing those welded tabs on the new struts? It rides and drives great!
she is such a ham so cool
Do you torque all of the bolts to spec on the Fusion or do you just whack em with the impact wrench
I just did this job because the front end was creaking like an old mattress…Brand new Napa lower control arms, tie rod ends, and swaybar links…Creaking is gone…But, now It clunks at a stop, drifts left or right when hitting bumps, and during slow speed turning maneuvers the steering wheel gets yanked out of my hands to its full stops. Wth could be going on??
*Edit*… Fixed…I forgot to tighten the outer tie rod ends. lol
I kinda miss the days working on trucks.
Oh I know what you mean I love doing truck work but I always love working on cars and pickups more
Shimmy is all gone and it's nice and smooth slicker than a duck's bellybutton.
So truck mechanics roll round on the floor and try to sound real busy
why do they all have a left unclear headlight
"So I just brought my car into your shop and now I have a noise from the rearview mirror…"
Where can I fine this guy
So your brothers shop has better snacks. U better not let your wife hear u say that. I seen some of them lunches she make u. The lunches are like dinner portions.
Mr Eric O, What digital torque wrench would you recommend??? I want the new Gearwrench 250lb-er, I forget the exact name. I am debating on whether to get the flexhead or notย but, I bought a inner & outer tie rod kitย & one of the outer tie rods was not as pictured! ( One was as pictured & described- with a castle nut, carter pin, grease zirk, & the other had no grease zirk, no carter pin, no castle nut, just aย plastic stop nut) NO THANK YOU!!! ย THOUGHT IT A FLUKE! SO, I bought aย front suspension kit (2 control arms w/ball joints, 2-inner & outer tie rods, 2-sway bar links,ย from a place that sounds like Detroit hassle & AGAIN THEY SENT ME MISMATCHED OUTER TIE RODS! BUT THE KICKER IS, The forward most bushing on the control arms accepts a smaller bolt then the original! So, I break out my brand new Kobalt 250lb Digital torque wrench to give her, Her 1st go around & the battery compartment fell apart/ the battery goes into the shaft from the end of the handle & the plastic screw that holds it all together IS A JOKE & FELL APART ON THE 1ST GO ARROUND!!! So, What digital torque wrench (with a torque spec of at least 233ft-lbs)ย would you recommend??? Long time subscriber, Keep doing what you do because, If itย Ain't broke, Donย 't fix it, You know your shix & You do a great job at it!!
Second time watching 5/9/2020
That is called heavy truck repair covered under warranty! Damn that sucks you didnโt see it the first time. That means sell some parts
Loved this whole three parter. Classic. ๐
Huge respect for your brother and team. Hard work. They are heavy equipment assassins.
I wanted to see you take that pinion bolt off.
Man I feel ya on those big dumb trucks, I wont touch the E450 busses. If I cant rack it I'm not working on it. I did get suckered into aligning semis. There not bad 3 axle pays 3 hours wether it needs it or not.
So instead of bringing them donuts and coffee you steal their cookies the real Eric is now visible
well,3 part series and i'm STILL tryin' to wrap my mind around DUAL lower ball joints. how the HECK does THAT work?
Hola en donde te localizaz para ir soy tu fan # nose pero soy fan
Let that guy go.
I was thinking the same thing you were saying when the guy was heating that rear yoke. That Babies gonna have to come apart that seal is cooked. I did a pinion seal and bearing once in my Ranger and it was a piece of cake compared to what that poor guy was fighting with. I enjoyed seeing the goings on in the other shop. Job well done Eric.
Great job
hello i have to change both sides back and forth for my 2007 fusion ford!
the question is Lateral Link Control Arm is the same thing, thank you
What procedure or setting do you use to make sure the physical frame (body) of the car is perpendicular to the 4 wheels? I can see using the machine how it aligns all 4 wheels in relation to each other, but how do you make sure the frame is pointed straight ahead in relation to them? I've seen cars going down the road dog tracking, that probably had their wheels aligned to each other, but not the body.
Great Series! Your brother's/Dad's big shop is amazing!
The front end alignment, or the "icing on the cake!" NICE! Great Videos! NICE WORK! "On to the next one" as everyone says.
Your little daughter is Precious! She looks just like your wife to me! Thanks for another interesting video! I don't think that car will ever see the WalMart repair bay again! SMA for Life!
MMMMMMMmmmmmmm Eaton-Fuller Roadranger goodness… 18-spd…. drool in mass quantities…
Used to work on heavy plant, Volvo BM, Euclid dumpers, Michegan loading shovels, and enjoyed every minute of it because I was out in the field. The breakfasts I used to be given on quarries were big enough that sometimes I didn't know whether to climb it or eat it… The Volvo kit was still years behind what we had down the coal mines in tech.
Happy days, all last century.
Started calling cars "Dinky toys" and had to go to 1/4 drive stuff because I kept breaking things…
Always keep a cool tool, and never let your meat loaf.
In Michigan it's against the law to have anything hooked to your rear-view mirror or dangling here you'll get $100 ticket for it
Sending you good vibes ๐๐ค
I love 8 Ball Pool by Miniclip….. I'm not the best, but it's fun. Seems like you're well liked by all the guys Eric… No stress… Ahhh, must be nice! lol…
In our shop the cardboard box is a zero tolerance creeper
If I was Eric's brother I would get that Ice Cream machine just to rub it in, even if I didn't like ice cream.
Eric!!! you are annoying the big rig guys!!! for Gods sake dig a nice pit for them to work with. you got a hoist. they need a pit for the truck to come upto.
I'd appreciate if you kept your "danglers" outta my face.
The truck having the yolk removed looks like itโs about due some elephants feet too
Good old Hunter system ๐
You taking phone calls tonight on W.U.W?
