Very good video I just did the bank 2 sencer 1 heater circuit malfunction it stopped work on my 1998 Toyota Camry V6 3.0,, same thing happened to me I ordered one and had the right server box but when I opened it up it was the wrong one, I mean im no Mechanic but I had enough experience to catch that you know. So I went to the parts store and bought the right one and put it in and works pretty good job well done. But very good video as all the videos I seen that you put out my friend

1998 chevy s10 – both of mine are welded on – have to buy a new converter

Eric, at Toyota on these we use Techsteam to monitor O2 sensor data and it gives us real time input on impedance of the circuit and current to the heater, going from memory here (don't quote me!) cold impedance is like 21K ohms and decreases as it heats up so the ECU knows approximate temperature. So, if it does not see any impedance (unplugged) it sets that code. I didn't see those parameters on your scan tool?

O. I still see that age Toyota all the time here. If you install the test light (turn signal bulb), on the heater circuit, clear the codes, and start the car, the light will come on within 30 seconds or so. Also, you missed a chance to use your Mastertech! It has the factory Toyota software on there for this age Toyota.

to call the box. Then I found that it was turned on when you opened the drivers door .

Nice trick with the torch! Saw you do that before on a F-150 manifold – pretty slick.
I finally got myself a torch setup after wielding MAP gas for 20 years or so. Could get by with that on the old stuff, but not anymore with everything being post-'96 these days (they've improved the bodies, but it seems the undercarriage has taken 20 steps backwards). Now I've got to practice! Thankfully I've got alot of scrap metal laying around to burn up first, before I unleash "the wrench of fury" on the customer's stuff. 😀 Once the floor is poured in the new shop, I'll dig the thing out of my barn and actually be able to use it.
I've learned alot about modern electronics from you and Paul Danner (ScannerDanner), but I seem to forget everything the minute I go out into the shop! Sucks getting old, lol. I'm pretty new to OBD-II stuff – I used to refuse it all, until I learned how to troubleshoot the things, just in the past year. I stuck with carbureted stuff (rare these days in cars, but plenty of it in lawn equipment) for the most part. Now I need some more hands-on with the new stuff, so all this new knowledge will sink in. Too many brakes, front ends, and tires around here lately! 😀

I won't accept opened boxes anymore from any of my local parts store. To many missing parts, wrong parts, damaged obviously mounted and removed parts. It's getting bad. I have the parts guy open the boxes in front of me and you should see all the surprised looks I see. Usually something like " Gee that doesn't look right?"
