Hey. I just replaced my actuator. But because I tilted the whole blower unit, I ended up busting my condenser…. now it's leaking a/c. 😔
My 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan SE I can get ac cold air out of the drivers side, but only heat to the passenger side. What actuator controls that and where's it located. Thank you
The rear heatercore hoses that are connected directly to the rear heater core, should those lines get warm even if the heater or ac is not being used?
Trying to diagnose an issue with not having any heat in the rear at all.
I had this same problem with my 2013 Grand Caravan. I tried synching the knobs – didn't work. After watching the first few minutes of the SMAR vid, I opened the glove box to reveal the right side Blend Door Activator, started the car and AC on high, then tapped on the Activator a few times with the butt end of a screwdriver while dialing the passenger side control from cold to hot. Magically it started working again. I'll replace it later, but it works for now. Thanks for the tip.

So the heater in my 2012 Dodge Grad Caravan blows warm for a little while then starts blowing cold on both the driver's and passenger's side. Looking at the temp gauge, I do not believe it to be a problem with the thermostat. I though maybe the valve that stops water flow into the heater coir, but I can not find that valve. Any thoughts?
Hi Eric, I've been watching your channel for a year now and I just subscribed. I own a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan and the first video of yours that caught my attention was how to create a trans dip stick out of the oil dipstick. Thank you for that one and so many others. The question I have is based on this video which was extremely helpful. I replaced the malfunctioning blend door actuators in the back and even though they work and I can hear them going through the calibration. The rear defogger light always blinks for a few minutes before I can use the HVAC system when I start the van. Is there a way to calibrate it without a scanner? And is it doing this because I used non-Mopar parts? I would have emailed you but I don't have an account for any of the socials that you also have, so hopefully you see this and can offer some insight. Hi Eric, I have a 2012 Dodge Caravan first thing . It's winter here in michigan now and we had the air-condition compressor removed and installed a delete bearing. What do we need todo to get better heat now in our van . Yes I removed the pully and installed new bearing as the compressor is frozen up. Any help would be great . Keep the videos rolling.

The wife has had a few dodge caravans over the last 14 years. I’ve not been impressed. There’s always something funky going wrong with them. I’ve had one Ford truck for the last 14 years with 200k + problem free miles and will hopefully have for many more. Moral of the story is I will not own another dodge caravan when I’m done with latest POS.
I replaced the driver side front actuator, Since the gear is missing a tooth I don't if the actuator is turning the door to the coldest setting. Before installing the new actuator I took the "key weigh" out of the old actuator and put it in to control the temperature door, hand turning the key weigh towards the front seats will release cold air the opposite direction is hot air. Left it in the cold position, Connected the wire harness to the new actuator turned the temp knob to cold, looking at the key weigh it will turn counter clock wise to cold. facing away from you it will turn clock wise when installed

Hi …. I have a 2013 Dodge Grand caravan with 120,000 miles …. This car started shaking had code p0202 and p0259 …… Was replaced spark plugs , inyector, coil. And still shaking a little bit and something worse .
Now the check engine light is OFF …. No check in light on ,,,, but still shaking .
I took it to the dealership and they first Said maight be the spark plugs , or inyector or coil ? …. I told them that all that was replaced …… Seams like they are guessing what could be the problem .
Do you know what could be the problem? .

Mine's a 2011 and it does that clicking noise but not constantly. It will actually do it after the vans been sitting with no keys in it. Really bizarre but doesn't bother me. Lol

Easy on the Chrysler I build them!! But any how, my ‘12 clicks in the rear but not when temperatures change more when start up and fan speed. So, would that be the upper actuator?

So my clicking in the rear is when changing airflow from say head to foot or foot/head mixture not changing the temperature. I am assuming therefore that mine is one of the other two actuators from the one that you changed out? I assume I should narrow down by producing the problem and listening to which one is clicking. I know I had the same problem on the front passenger side directional actuator and I simply removed it and reinstalled it and it went away wondering if I need a whole new actuator or if the same fix could apply?

Just bought a 2015 caravan and turns out the blower isnt in there which would explain why theres no ac coming out from the back lol

Try replacing the one on the driver's side, that one is a joke. By feel all the way out and in.
They need to come up with a better idea to the actuators, after you install them , the new ones can die after a couple of weeks, I know I had a Chevy Impala with them, and they drove me nuts.
i have a 04 dodge durango and this sound is coming FROM THE REAR. AC hasnt been blowing cold front or back now. Strange hissing noise too from the rear.

I replaced the blend doors in my 2011 Caravan. I used Dorman. Yeah you guessed it. Soon after the clicking was back. The dorman unit was junk. I ordered Chrysler product. No more issues.

I had the same issue of clicking blend door and the blinking rear defrost light when the car is started. I fixed the blend door, but still have the issue of the blinking rear defrost light. I took the cables off the battery terminals and still have the issue. Any advice?
