Yeah bro I have a problem my 2005 Chevy Silverado k1500 4×4 4.8 Lt it cranks over is sounds like it wants to start but it doesn’t, I just replaced the fuel lines and while I had the bed off I replaced the fuel pump as well, I have been driving it for two days and then I gone to Walmart and when I got out and tried to start my truck it won’t start, a guy came by and asked if I needed a jump I told him it was the battery I told him he said check the relay switch I did and you can hear the fuel pump turn on so I could use your help ? I am disabled and just turned 60 and I don’t have much money to pay a mechanic so I am asking if you could help me out? Have any Suggestion of what it could be???

Hi I been turning wrenches all my life,got one I'm stuck on,replaced motor with one that did run, and the one i took out, did run, except for some compression loss. It has no injuries pulse no spark no fuel pressure @ shredder valve,?

Hey you helped me out today same symptoms on a 2007 6.2 yukon. Just. BUILT motor all new sensors and yup one was bad right out of the box ahh that passed me off but at least its running with the old one!
This is the most valuable information on the web, Had the exact same problem on a Pontiac Vibe, the scan tool had us fooled for a while, replaced the crank sensor and started right up. Thanks Eric.

So I have a 2004 silverado 2500hd I bought the truck an the guy couldn't get it running whats happening is it cranks for 3 seconds and that's it.. it has power to the coils an power to the injectors the ecu , crank sensor have been replaced if someone can help me figure this out id greatly appreciate it ty

I've been doing IT work for 22 yrs, Every day I learn something new. I'm glad, I'd be bored otherwise. I've been cranking on my cars all my life, some items and can't do because I don't have a lift. Or even a garage. So I have to have my mechanic do some. And I have a group of guys do my oil as it's just easier. But I love learning from your videos.

Thanks Eric I have the same truck , 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 6.0 V8 . I replaced The fuel pump & it ran good . The We had a Cold Snap here in Boston , Well no start ! The Truck wanted to But it sounds like it jumped time . Well it seems this Crank Position sensor does that . The starter is out , Tomorrow I will carefully remove The Sensor , Thanks for this Video , it should work!

where do i buy a code reader like you have,,,i have a 98 silverado i bought off marketplace for 500 that a guy gave up on after he replaced just about every ignition part except the ecm and wiring harness,,it gets no spark to ignition or fuel pulse ??

anyone know if the crank sensor need to be re learned by a shop for a 2001???
i had the exact same conditions in my 2001 silverado 1500, doesn't mention relearn on ALL Data.
replaced ignition switch and crank sensor…. still no start.

I looked at many videos of this problem and I noticed no one explain all the problems they actually had my truck was shutting off when I drive for about two weeks but it would start back up finally it stop starting but this is the only video that hit on points about what was going on with my truck and actually it helped me alot I needed a crank sensor this is one guy I would truly advice you to listen to he went in details thanks you me man
was wondering why my p30 4.8 1985 has no spark changed everything in the distributor my ignition switch is about 2 -3 years old i changed it myself still can't figure out what the issue could be any idea ?

Thanks for doing this video, it lead me directly to a bad crank sensor on a 1500 with a 4.8 I'm fixing for a friend, It helped to see the crank sensor sits high and pulls low, the one I was working on was low at all times, swapped and started right away. Literally 1 hour to get it started after sitting untouched for 3 years by the last moron.
