You begged, you yelled, you insisted! Well here it is! For what ever reason you (the viewers) requested seeing a front end alignment video. Hey, ask and you shall receive right!? Haha I wish it worked that way, any how though I did listen and this is my attempt at showing the process or at least some of the process of a front wheel alignment. Enjoy!

where you get them LONG 18mm wrench's…?
Eric: Great Video. The detailed explanation was very informative. While there no Thor sightings or use of flames, you did have your usual sightings of lovely New York rust… Still a great video.
Thank you 👍
Good Video's watch all … own two old chevy's 03-S-10, 05-Safari…both 4.3's go fig… Great explaining the Tech- without getting complicated. Keep it simple and clean.
Great video. I now understand a whole lot more about alignment. I wonder why alignment shops near me can't get my mountaineer aligned right. Ah well. thanks for making this video.
I don't agree that video was lame. I found it interesting to see the process. Thank you. I wish I were closer to your shop to help me with my old f150.
Eric, as a mechanic from old school 70's, used an old Hunter. Only then we had magnetic calibrator for each wheel. Used shims, shims and more shims. But I've got to say, I'm really impressed with the machine. Takes all the guess work out. Better alignment to. Taught this old dog a new trick. Thanks Mr O.
I've always wondered how the alignment was done with the weight of vehicle and the tires being on the lift. My logic was, how can you get a proper reading and then make proper adjustment with the friction from the tires being on the lift. 🤔so thank you for showing the jacking process, now i understand how major adjustments are done. I have a sport suspension so this is something that I will ask about the next time I get my alignment done. thx for the content dude! Subscribed!
Whats the point if u can't show caster adjustments your adjusting NKT*124
How much is that alignment rack
god I need this done
4WD and RWD vehicles are money pits. So many extra moving parts compared to FWD.
I found this video completely useless for the average person who doesn’t have a million dollar shop, it was dark and the only thing I see clearly is the gauges on your computer. On top of that you bashed Chevy and you was working on a 20 year old truck with probably a million miles on it . I think you r a complete idiot.
Nice job, automation is pretty sweet..!
Chevy for life 🚗 💪
Good job. Very interesting.
Thank you!! …. I just finished replacing a bunch of front end parts in my Chevy truck … all the other vids I saw on YouTube where variations of string and other ideas … I have a much better understanding and appreciation of what is involved now … my last alignment I had done was on my car and they gave me a nice printout of what the measurements were when it came in and the measurements after it was all "dialed in" … well worth getting done professionally !! Thank you from Calgary, Alberta 🙂
I fell asleep what happened ?
At any point when making adjustments on the alignment machine do you use a impact gun or just wrenches. My alignment guy did a bad alignment and my new tires got over half worn out on the outside edge. It was so bad the tires were screeching on turns. Should the shop replace the tires?
That's what I call a real alignment
Best wheel alignment I have ever seen James watched it all the way through thank you
I am a trucker and owner operator. I’m wondering why you hated working on large trucks? I might become one of your customers although you might refer me to your brother’s shop. I live up in Rochester.
Contrary to what you think, I think it's a very good video! Helps to understand Exactly what it takes to align and how the process goes. I've always wondered
Question
Do we are alignment shops adjust your camber i replaced my lower Control arm bracket on a 2008 trailblazer LT and now my tires are getting worn out from inside.
You say that this has gotta be one of the most lame-o sma videos but I beg to differ, it is fascinating to watch and really cool to see it adjusting measurements on the fly.
I dig the video but I wish I could find one that tells me how to set the camber and caster which one first and which one second. I have a weege bord
And magnet c and c bubble gage
Dislike on this video there was 23 ads before the video even started
NICE SHOP!!
very good video, thank you
Ah yes, I remember those turntables well, as a boy, I was tasked with keeping my dad's racks clean, how many times did I discover too late, someone had forgotten to replace the pins… Come on Eric, tell me you've never done the Mexican Flamingo Hat Dance on the alignment rack…
What about the rear-end alignment? How about 4-wheel alignments too?
I have a '90 Pontiac Sunbird where the rear end alignment is out (and it's completely unadjustable), yet my '02 Subaru requires 4 wheel alignments (which is how I found out about the Pontiac's alignment problem and why it has a vibration issue)…
😉👍
OMG I’m so glad I live in the desert. 20 year old suburban with 275,000 miles and NO RUST!!! 🌵🌵🌵🌵🌵
Was it worth it to dump all that money into an 18 yr old rust bucket? When should you just let go & send it to the s junkyard?
You got to do a BMW just for the fun of it I guess if there's no bushings worn out then the caster which is adjusted on the struts on top but there's a pin that sits in the hole so you can't do it but I noticed that my old ones they took a punch and pounded the pin down so they can move it in the slot in the 3 bolts when I put new bushings on I put it back where it was factory and it's fine
I think you're going to leave out an important part you have to make sure the steering wheel is straight first
Bro we don't want to see you mfn computer. We want to see you work on the fucking truck
You didn't show shit you just told how boring you life is and how you take the cow out on Friday night
chevy owners sure try there best to show how tough they are but then ive seen chevys broke down and up for re sale
What if your rolling jack was down, could you do your adjustments without the rolling jack ??? And 89.00 ???
I have a 09 silverado 1500 and transfer case is rattling. Do I need to replace all internals??
Thanks for the info on the alignment process and I would like to see you do same on a semi truck.
R.I.P. Mr. O. Senior. What a great man to raise such intelligent, well spoken, respectful and talented young men. He really set you guys up right with the shops you have now and raising you around a toolbox. It’s so important to teach boys how to grow up to be men.
Another great video too, by the way, Eric! Thanks!!!
“Move this BOOB down, as it’s already up at its max height.”
Just keep in mind that after around 30 years or so, they’ll start comin’ down on their own.
If you are pocketing a couple hundred bucks a pop… being an alignment tech would be fine to do all day.. you could even watch Netflix all day…and drink some beer
great vid but sweet baby jesus what in satans balls is going on with that pc screen i pretty sure i had 3 seizures during the course of this vid
WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE THAT M Machine how-do-you-do it from your home 🏡 Can you do a video 📹 one day, PLEASE!!!!!!!!
From Indianapolis, Indiana 🇺🇸
Nice video I learned something
So I replaced my upper control arms, ball joints and tie rods on my 4×4 s10. Took it for alignment at the shop a block away. They offered an $80 alignment. But then went on to tell me that the camber/caster alignment would be an extra charge. They ended up doing the tow alignment and then called me to tell me that I need to pay more for the rest. Knowing full well that the camber and caster need to be done first. Makes sense. I really think they didn't know what they were doing. Don't be scammed. I'll take it for the full adjustment once I get new tires at a more reputable place.
Who do I go to get the caster done? I have a truck that I the front right wheel hit a small pole long ago and my wheel is pushed back about 1/2in . I changed out to new control arm but it didn’t do anything
