I visited Letchworth State Park in summer 2001. What a beautiful place. I jumped off of the ledge into the river, was exhilarating!! I enjoyed living in Western New York(Batavia)for 3 years, and worked at Genesee Auto Parts, but Port Angeles, Washington is my home. You guys should come to the Olympic Peninsula sometime and check it out.
It’s five years after these two videos were uploaded but I just saw them by accident. I’ve been a subscriber for maybe two years now and learned and been entertained a lot. These two at Letchworth are among my favorites even though I didn’t learn anything about automotive repairs. The scenery is amazing and I did learn about ballooning, plus of course I always enjoy family time with the “O” clan. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I’m sure it will be a treasured part of your family history. 👍

Isn't that the truth Robert Walchli. One minute, your young and than the next ,you're still young but, when you look in the mirror, your not, but inside you're still that young guy. But the kids are all gone and there's little one running around again and it's the grandchildren, where did the time go? It's so scary, you work hard and the time flies by so fast. You look back and wish you had spent more time but, money was needed to keep the family fed, and the house warm for them. It's so sad, I wish so much, I could have spent more time with the family, this is why you need to go camping like Eric here, cherish those moments Eric, they go so fast!!!
what a much needed break from the daily work stresses . all of the grazy warmongers in the world shoul learn to behave like the rest of us families .

Due to the COVID-19 forced quarantine, people are not able to travel and are stuck cooped up at home.
Watching you and your family going on a State Park vacation, even if it was 5 years ago, is like being invited and tagging along as thought we are family members.
I shared the link with some of my friends who watched both parts and wished there were more.
It's one thing to watch a documentary on a State Park, quite another, and much more personal, to watch someone's home movies with a good friend narrating the experience.
The camera is a one way mirror, we can see you but you can't see us.
You don't know us personally but we know you and we are the better for it.

Hey Eric. Your in my neck of the woods. I lived in Nunda and my in-laws lived in Portageville . My mother-in-law worked at the Glen Iris- Inn. Been at the park quite a few times. Watched the video and it tugged at my heart strings. Live in Utah now. That Genesee river is one of only a few that flow north. Love your repair videos

Nice to know the family get some outdoor experience (beyond the home ranch).More and more these days kids barely get past the house and school yard before they are in middle school. AKA city dwellers. Campfires and smores…Yes, there is a way to "roast" marshmallows, time, heat (coals not flames) and your full attention. Any other way will yield smoked and burnt ones. Where's the homemade ice cream? lol
I miss those years when the kids were that age (I have five boys). Hold on to your hat Eric, before you know it they will be in their careers and taking on spouses and you will scratch your head wondering where the years went.

Eric, you and Mrs. O have the most difficult job there is, setting good examples and being great parents. Both of you are exceptional parents, keep it up!! I stumbled upon you videos while doing the treadmill about 45 days ago, must admit I'm hooked on your shop videos. The quality of camera work is very good, but most importantly is the way you conduct yourself is so refreshing, you make the treadmill time fly and I'm actually learning new things. Thank you for doing what you do!!! Can brake clean be used for tooth paste?!!
My Mom lives in Alleghany County which is south of Letchworth. Went there quite often as a child. That is beautiful country . . . if we cold only get them to stop killing children before they are born.
