Maybe if you remove the dead squirrel from around the MAF sensor it might start working properly…

hello I am a retired Toyota master tech I had a Toyota v6 3 .0l or 3.3l that had this issue and it drove me nuts it ended up being the pin in the end of the cam that the cam gear for the t belt attaches to, was damaged and caused the cam to be out of time just slightly you could not see the damage till you took the cam bolt out that holds the gear on, that the pin was just slightly out of square with the cam .I don't know what the set up is that holds the cam gear to the cam but I would be checking that on that bank.

PCV valve? I had a Ford Focus. Put 2 O2 sensors. Took me months to figure it out. A Ford mechanic told me in a forum to try replacing the PCV valve and it fixed it. It was p0171 code engine lean bank 1.

From the auction, we know what that means… Mine had a broken wire deep in the wiring harness. Twelve pages of printed wiring diagrams later, evidence of someone picking at, and failing to fix the problem… We got her figured out, which was satisfying.

Maybe high resistance in the wiring to the 02 sensor power or ground

That would drive me mental. Must be frustrating as hell. Just the fact that the previous guy has a long list of things they have eliminated. Not saying they didn't do a perfect job in each case or anything, but it's the question in the back of your mind…did they run the bead of silly-cone all the way around the intake duct, and every other uncertainty. Unless you have seen it with your own two eyes, it may or may not have happened.
the lean run on bank 2 can only be caused by a fault on bank 2 you found a small vacuum leak and proved it with brake clean I think you have found the problem small vaccum leanks on v enginesare allways going to be a pain but you were able to pin this to bank 2 diagnosed as far as I can see
When I was doing a small automotive tech course in 1994 they had that trouble with a late 1980's model Daihatsu Charade,they had a exhaust gas analyser hooked up to the tailpipe which was reporting a lean air to fuel mixture,they suspected that the car may have had an exhaust leak.
If the Hyundai has a twin exhaust system,maybe you can hook one of them up to the affected cylinder banks tailpipe to confirm that the air to fuel mixture is actually lean.
If it's not leaky valves, incorrect valve timing,a faulty O2 sensor, faulty wiring or a blown cylinder head gasket then I would look for an exhaust leak,it could be caused by a sooted up O2 sensor which is underreporting as well !

Had a similar problem with a 1985 Buick Le Sabre ,it turned out to be an exhaust manifold leak at the cylinder head connection,it was tiny,but screwed up the o2 sensor readings,because between exhaust pulses it would suck air through leak,interesting to say the least,car manufacturers had started to use computers to design exhaust systems to scavenge exhaust to increase performance and drive-ability ,but the exhaust had to be free of leaks so the sensors would produce correct readings,a stupid cracked gasket.
Ivan is great, but he should let you talk without interruption. It gets chaotic trying to listen to both of you. Im going to sub to Ivan's channel also.

I DON'T repair cars for a living. You should be thankful that I don't! I was thinking, "Ok, so replace the faulty cam and it'll purr." Sure, it would purr for a few weeks or so with the more correct idea of a head replacement, but then watch out! I would love to have seen the oil filter from before the oil change.
I have an 07 V6 Limited, & the vehicle stutters at a stop while in drive. This only happens after you run the car, then shut it off, leave it for a bit, then drive it again. Already changed plugs & wires, cleaned air intake & siliconed, cleaned air filter, ran the vehicle to clean the fuel system a few times. This issue doesn't always happen, but is worrisom as it may start stalling. I hope this was enough but doubt it.

Did u check that manafold for cracks and any other cracks in seen or maybe the silicone made it go lean also????

Not sure if il get a response but I have one these Tucson ( unfortunately) long story short. Noticed the back wheels locking up when going backwards. Looked under and seen the rear differential had oil pissing out. Changed the diff with a new one. But still having problems. Now when in normal 2 wheel drive there is a slight buzzing noise and when reversing in 4 wheel it locks up the back wheels. Like a binding or being held back. Any ideas what this could be. I've read up on the AWD and 4WD. Is it correct to say that the wheels will lock up if on a normal road and the buzzing sound may be the front differential needs changed too. Any advise from anyone would be good.
