Finally a mechanic that uses the 8 pound computer on his shoulders instead of relying on electronics.
He hit the 2,000 subscriber mark here. Now he has probably a million
<i hat that when they call me when I bizzy working on stiff or when I in bathroom? LOL
Do not worry Eric ,we love you here in U Tube car repair land .Please keep the good work up , you are a great mechanic…………
What’s best coolant to put in these 5.7s
You the man and love how you tell it like it is so keep up the great videos esp. on the Chevy trucks as i have a 08 shittyrato 5.3 V8 that runs really well but if you listen real good you will hear it rusting away every night lol but at least it doesnt have a hundred thousand miles yet but its getting close
It sounds much better the timing was definitely off.
Ohhhh god I’m unsubscribing because of that dang door bell 😅
What scan tool are you using to check crank can correlation?
good job Eric. Not too much Not too little . Gave em alittle extra all is good
Man I'm having that same code 97 5.7 customer is backing out of the driveway and it just shut off now it won't start I'm getting spark and fuel man if you give me your opinion I appreciate it
I’m new to the channel, but want to say Thank You. You’ve helped out a bunch the last month with keeping my 2007 Yukon on the road! Thanks!
You mention in this video that you had 2k subscribers. Now you have 634k subscribers. You deserve every single one. Thank you for helping the shade-tree mechanic and pro alike. God bless you and your family.
I have had way too many of those “zaps” from the distributor – now I will just go turn the engine off, make an adjustment, then start it again
Geez you know the vehicle hasn’t been serviced “soon” when the bulb in the dash blows!
From what I've seen your a trouble shooter and not a parts shooter! You replace parts per diagnostic conclusions and you verify your repair. As a tech myself , that's priceless and I commend your technical skills and wisdom.
Man you're the greatest you're very thorough my 96 Chevy pickup is running rough I've learned a lot thank you
I know you working hard, but you getting enough sleep Eric O? You been sounding kinda tired lately. But I in same boat I guess I'm the same at time's.
Love your channel I haven’t watched all the videos but maybe someday! I tell people I am driveway certified. I wish I was talented as you at diagnosis.
Your customers are getting a deal. My dad raised his marine rates to be equal to the average of local automotive shops he raised it to $124 from $94. Don't leave your retirement on the table .
I remember working on this old junk getting the distributor hold down wrench getting a zap off of the distributor. Lol Changing the weights underneath the rotor to make the vacuum advance come on quicker or later. Don't miss it!!
I've been a tech for over 30 years now and your videos are fantastic in every way! Thanks so much for the logic, humor, humility! It's a real pleasure to be a subscriber. Keep it up Eric!
Door bell and phone that is the sound of money and work being done. I would be worried if that never happen in your videos.
Good Job.
Hi , I have a 99 2 door Tahoe 5.7,V8, 350, gas… 196k miles , I recently repair/upgrade the engine … also install long tube headers , new flow master mufflers , NO Cat, but o get the codes P1345 , P0102,, P0405… any suggestions …?
Another great video.
Congratulations guy! In this old video you mentioned that you had over 50K subscribers. You now (July 26, 2021) have over 550K subs! Peace, Love, and Charity!
Nice job of explaining what is wrong or might be wrong on vehicles someone else has not repaired properly. if I lived in your neighborhood, you'd get my business.
What excatly are you trying to adjust?.Is it timing,What is cam zero?I can normally stay with you but I dont understand what was happening with this one.I love your videos.
Keep that doorbell ringing….!
👍👍👍👍👍

I really appreciate the work u do just started watching your videos keep it up will continue to watch u
shure runs rough
Watching this 6 years later and Eric is bragging about 2000 subscribers 😂
Now he's at 563,000 . Amazing. Live the videos and I think I am running out of old ones to watch.
Auction Vehicles allways have problems. Its trying to avoid buying the ones with serious problems.
You’re a good man Mr. O, , you’re out in the middle of east of BFE. Probably not the most affluent area, and all you’re trying to do is the best job possible and make the repair as affordable as possible for the client. I’ve only subbed about a year ago and have almost watched every video. Have spent many hours watching with complete total enjoyment. Rebuilt my first motor over 50 years ago, a 1967 Slant Six ha ha ha. Times have definitely changed……along with your $65 an hour ha ha ha
The codes that keep popping up on mom say ECM and my truck is flawless we will keep resetting and turning the light off but the check engine light keeps coming on for some reason and I don't know why.
The timing offset spec on those is + or – 2 degrees. You got it set perfectly within spec. Zero is the ideal, but -2 is still spec.
Don't understand why people switch off after 3 mins. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us.
Got my wife to sub just to hear that doorbell haha.
Ireland checking in 🇮🇪🇺🇸
I have a 1997 chevy silverado 1500 5.7lit3r with a 303 code changed plugs wires cap rotor idle air control valve
Love every one of your videos even the old ones. And the doorbell and the phone means you’re busy and people like you And you’re making money outside of you tube.
I've had people unsubscribe for the same reasons. I say, good riddance to them, because when they stick around for the videos, I can always depend on them to be "Karen's" in comments. Often, I'll help them out and block them lol. Cheers! Zip~
You get no complaints from me about that it's all part of the job
Lol I can't imagine why he couldnt handle a little doorbell and phone action when I was working at Sears and quality auto transmission and a few other shops and the doorbell and phones rang constantly that the toll for doing business and it happens
You can also swap o2 sensors to see if code jumps to other bank
Just j hi it the 2k subscriber mark! 😂 you hit about 100k per year average, Eric! Congratulations! You deserve it.
Eric you probably remember before the OBD2 days on GM's, people would take the ck. engine bulb out . When they did that the ECM would not go into closed loop and I don't think you could read data. The better solution was a piece of electrical tape over the light. lol
