He broke a line on the condenser putting in a radiator and you broke the radiator replacing the condenser didn’t you? Circle of life 😂
Yes, it keeps coming back. It's an "Infinity" and infinity goes on forever.
Or in this case, an "Infinity" keeps coming back forever. 😉
Nice! Use a drill bit to plug that hose so you can knock another hole in the new radiator.
Nice
Why not use a vacuum coolant filler?
Do You Recommend ASE Certification? In what ASE areas? Are You ASE Certified?
Would it kill a person to spray a little armorall or maybe even some glass cleaner on the shrouds? You know, show a little love for their vehicles.
Buy an Infinity radiator. Then your return will be zero.
I was just thinking… hmmm did you test that offscreen?
Should of used a vacuum bleeder , dude literally overheated a section of that head super hot and will have issues down the road now. Amateur move
Would a chemical test for combustion gases in the coolant be a good idea on a difficult case like this? The first and second radiators failed.
Started out yellow/orange, then turns green?
What brand electric rathet do you use?
I may be wrong, but it looks like the pen you used to block one of the condenser lines used to have a cap at the end. What little was caught on camera, it looks like its missing after you took it out. May still be stuck in the condenser line
Did Snap-On quit making their stoppers on a chain set? I still have most of mine forty-five years later.
No pressure test to verify the leak? The worst version of "drain the cooling system" I have ever witnessed. Your on a lift lift it up and drain it! The use of screw type clamps is very unprofessional, (the manufactures utilize spring clamps because of their ability to maintain clamping force) the lesser quality "screw type" clamps require periodic tightening. Then you reinstalling the lower hose clamp in the F you position is going to prevent that! Not using a cooling system evacuation refill method is also very unprofessional and inefficient! The probable truth is, that the upper hose was just leaking down the radiator due to the aforementioned low quality hose clamp not maintaining tension!
Engine covers are silly. Spring hose clamps for plastic coolant stuff while required are still devices of the devil.
Golf tees work great to plug smaller lines, up to about 5/16 ID.
Did Lexus ship that vehicle with worm gear clamps on the hoses? Seems like those should be spring clamps to maintain constant pressure.
Rainman, Rainman, Rainman. You aren’t a real mechanic if you don’t start a cooling system diagnostics with a pressure test. You’re just a hack otherwise.
She Spit at ya Ray 😵
The guys at Infinity sure love their plastic covers. Do they serve any function apart from looking fancy?
I know that the engine cover most likely dampens mechanical noise from the valvetrain but everything else is just cosmetic right?
Nissan/Infiniti, the Chrysler of Japan
#32 lower hose clamp when you need a #20? good visual
Hmm should be a blue liquid instead of green. Shame on cheap asses. You bought an f ing infinity
Infinity leak! *splosh, half the coolant vanishes.
Knew somebody that had a VW Golf in the early 80's – OEM plastic tank radiator got replaced twice under warranty – then the dealer just bit the bullet and got a brass tank radiator from a rad shop – no more problems or repeat work. Cheap eBay alloy radiator is probably better than a plastic tank – even OEM one.
You forgot one connected above the radiator……
You didn’t show us what’s the problem with the first radiator …..
Nissan products are nothing but Japanese Chryslers , garbage
Personally I never had success bleeding any system using that method. The thermostat will never open. The only thing I found that works is I fill the coolant reservoir to max, fill up the rad, put on the rad cap, warm up the car, attach a scanner and monitor the RPM and ENG TEMP pids, and keeps the revs between 2000 and 3000 RPM until the temp reaches where the thermostat should open. I will see it goes above a certain temp (anywhere from 180 to 210 F), then starts to come down. Once I see that I know the thermostat opened. I check the reservoir and it went down. That works every time. Takes about 15 to 20 minutes. I'm not saying it's the right way. I'm just saying it works for me. Typically I work on honda civics, 1.7 L and mazda 3 cars.
Someone call Scotty Kilmer.
BWD, never-ending, sadly
Why Not Vac The System Down & Inject The Coolant
What happened that caused the leak on the former new radiator? Defective? was it non OEM?.
Every time the phone rings, Ray gets a paycheck (Apologies to "It's a wonderful life")
Love watching your videos man, very thorough and honest. If only there were more techs like you, the bad ones ruin it for the few of us that actually care. Keep the content coming and thanks for the quality entertainment 👌🏻
I really dislike ads interrupting the video so I unsubscribed. Sorry.
At my shop we still have the AZ and oriellys and carquest and LKQ guy’s delivering parts soon as we order them💀
tap e tap….
Ha ha
It will be back….
i haven't thought to try radiator purge that way, thanks for the idea ray. Do not injure the Phalanges!
Arse end of the drill bit might have been a better choice..
Spark plugs work great for plugging transmission lines and vacuum minds too…😁✌️
This video makes me want Mountain Dew.
Ray, It kills me when you mock the phone in the shop, too funny ! Great video's dude !
Infiniti = Nissan
I cannot stop watching your videos and wonder how empiric is your approach and clumsy your touch. I'd never let my car on your hands…
