gezz I wish as an apprentice mechanic I had cans of brake cleaner I grew up here in Australia with a paint brush and half cut 44 gallon drum of kero to wash car parts back in the day, to have unlimited supply of brake clean would have been soooo good your so lucky trust me. But for a bit of fun filling a diff or gearbox like that a few fast finish squeezes of the bottle and one long slow one to finish off was always my fun inner child thing gave me a giggle for the rest of the afternoon.
I find myself doing the do de do sound everything I squirt brake clean. Maybe I should change that to nice and shiny ?

Brake Cleaner is also my friend. Besure to avoid inhaling and getting it on your skin. Minimize the use on rubber and plastic parts otherwise early deterioration can occur.
Just remember organic solvents in aerosols are not very beneficial for Your nervous system and internal organs. Where I live, both gloves, goggles and respiratory protection are required, working with this. This is not to annoy people, but for their protection.
