Just needs bigger (surround sound) stereo speakers…
Easy solution: just take the belt off, then it won't make the noise!
Derp!
“New and improved Nissan diesel “ 🤪🤪🤪
Yeah she needs more than a belt that's for sure
This one needs one of those belts attached to a rebuilt engine lol
The squealing he heard was the bearings crying for help…
I sometimes just check the oil and coolant for some of the older residents around here without being asked because I know they don't check it or change it themselves. This problem is more common than you may think.
You didn’t warm up the glow plugs b4 u crank it 😂
I believe there is blow by one of the diesel injectors. That means no more than a cooper washer seal on that injector, and of course the cleaning. There should be some blow by goo near the culprit injector so you should identify it quite easy.
Too bad people abuse their cars by not maintaining them, shear stupidity.
Holy rod knock
When you install the new engine make sure you install a "new belt" then the customer is correct.
He made it 77K past the normal Nissan due date of oil pump failure – congrats!
SO did the customer tell you to replace the best anyways? lol
Would be interesting to see how ruined the internals the engine is and the build-up of crud is.
I know that noise only difference is I didn't make it home was coming from California going to Vegas made the mistake of keeping my AC on on a very steep hill and heard a noise blown headgaskit in a Nissan Altima
Why ? Whyyyyyyy? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ! My 03 Dakota has 154000 on a 3.9 V6. REGULAR oil changes, REGULAR transmission service, Belt Changes every 30,000 miles, air filters at least once a year, differential oil checked at oil change and changed once a year, and it runs as good as the day it was built, and I fully expect to get 300 grand out of it barring accidents. I'm no millionaire either and do most of my maintenance myself. It's not too hard or near as expensive as that motor is going to be 🤨
I live in San Diego California I drive a 2008 Nissan frontier with 247000 miles Boy I wish you were my mechanic!!!
You would get that truck running like it's brand new!!
F in chat for this poor engine.
Ahh, spray some belt dressing on it, it'll be fine
sh*t i would've been to afraid getting blamed for seizing it to rev it.
Find some 20w 50 oil along with 2 cans of STP. Maybe they will get another 200 miles out of it. In today's market that car is probably worth $1500.
Knock, knock, knocking on the heaven's door…
XD
Regular oil changes, the cheapest preventative maintenance possible.
real curious to see the dip stick…..but he probably left for work
Ahh heck that motor sounds good ready for Daytona. Rod the heck out of it and finish it off.
Nissan with the KABOOM option.
WHATCHA GOT, RAIN MAAAAAAAAAN!!!
I had one of those Nissan Sentra, was an amazing car for me. Was totaled when a truck ran the red ligth, and saved my wife's life! At the moment was 225k miles (in México means A LOT) on the clock and running strong! Engine oil changes religiously every 3k and transmission fluid every 20k.
3 quarts of 50 weight and 2 cans of STP and we're good to go
Never heard a belt make that noise before lol
When you first started the engine I knew right away that's not a belt. That's a knock in the engine or starving of oil. Definitely something going on with the pistons. Time to watch the rest of it. Yup come to the conclusion. Since it seems like the oil hasn't been changed in whenever I feel like this dude doesn't know maintance on his own vehicle…
Is that rod knock, piston slap or somethin else?
…checking the oil is about the very easiest thing an owner can do…really no excuse for these failures.
I usually top off my blinker fluid and noises like that go bye bye.
Just top it off with some 80W90 gear oil and she'll be fine
Nissan ? Don't they make ramen noodles ?
My sister must drive this car. She bought a 98 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 5.0L in it in 2004 had 52k on it. Very nice clean car had a very minor oil leak in it. Used 1qt in 1st 5000mi oil change. But she went 20,000 on 2nd oil change and I filled the tank up for her and by habit I checked the oil. I put 4qts in it to get it on the add mark. Surprised it was not making noise. But it didn't make the next oil change. Next time I saw it was 300mi after I put oil in it. It sounded like that car and was 4qts low again and smoking like a chimney. And she had a pair of vice gripes for a gear shift lever. She got mad that it would not come out of park on a hill and stuck a piece of pipe on the lever and snapped it off. This was 8 months after she bought it. The car she has now is a 2003 Chevrolet impala with the 3.8L v6. It's on its 3rd brand new engine now with only 156k on it. It had 92k when she got it. Running them out of oil and instead of changing the oil she changes engines. She even run the 1st engine on 4 cylinders for 2 days before it quit at 110k. 2nd went to pieces at 141k. They replaced on warranty thinking she changed the oil in 28k but she didn't. They gave her a free oil change at 3000mi but she still had the same oil in it when she did take it in at 14,000mi. They voided her warranty this time. LOL. She's not very smart. That's why she don't drive my vehicles even to pick me up from the hospital 2 weeks ago. I got a 94 Chevy pickup with a 4.3L with 320k on original engine and transmission. Transmission is beginning to slip in cold weather. So it's not long for this world. Engine is still strong. I go 6,000mi on oil change and add a qt at 3000mi. The oil is still clean at 6000mi. I wish I had the money to rebuild the transmission but I don't even have an income right now. Trying to go on disability for my back, knees, legs, and heart. I'm almost in a wheelchair now. Then had a heart attack a month ago.
2nd marriage… New wife gets up before me because of her work hours (physician). Goes out to the garage, waking me up ( manual spring lift door, SQUEEEKE). Watch her out the window, start the car (78? Pinto squire wagon) shut it off. Gets a quart of oil, lift the hood, put it in. Cool i think, woman who knows about putting oil in a car. Goes and gets a second quart, puts it in. Odd I think. Gets a THIRD quart of oil and starts to put it in as I am now getting dressed to go out. By the time I throw my pants on and head out the back door, she's dumping a FOURTH quart of oil. I'm hollering stop, stop, stop. This car only HOLDS 5 quarts, what are you doing? She replies that when the round red 'oil' light comes on, it takes 4 quarts to the full mark. We sold it very quickly for $900 telling the new owner that, yes, it burns a little oil…
Car ownership 101, regular oil changes.
I would had sold him a belt. LOL
That thing's knocking louder than a Jehovah's Witness! Wow!
Too bad he didn't bother to take care of it. We had 94 and 95 Altimas and a 94 King Cab that all went to about 200k. I say "about" because speedos/odometers seemed to be a weak point back then. We sold the 94 King Cab. The 94 Altima was running great when my wife drove it last but, after we rolled it back over onto its wheels, we decided to get rid of it. The 95 needed a clutch, but the mechanic found that the front frame rail had a 6-inch gap in it under the radiator. He gave us $450 for it, so he could drop the engine into another customer's car. Oil changes are amazing things.
He doesn't need a belt he needs his head checked.
Hi Ray. I typically don't comment on videos but with you I gotta say I thoroughly enjoy yours. Since December, 2021 when I saw my first Ray video, I have binge watched you, much like a series on Amazon Prime. Thanks much, keep 'em coming.
another MARVEL MYSTERY OIL candidate
Funny
With no leaks the oil had to go somewhere. I would Figure that out and slap some crank and
rod bearings in it and run it till it came apart.
Literally an oil change every so often and that cars mileage would double. Shame no one thinks to look after their cars.
Only one thing left to do.. 2 bottles of Lucas honey and drive until🤯
