Why don't transmissions have a sump plug?
I dunno what that sounded like in person but it sounded like a whining ps pump when you started it.
Why in the h-e-double toothpick do they not put a drain plug on those? Need a name change, my friend. Not Rainman Ray. Hound Dog Ray. Here is how you fix the…oh look! SQUIRREL!
Love minivans. Minivans make the world go round. You can't get any closer to an all-purpose multitool. What else can you get that can haul seven people, and then quick change into a truck that can bring home lumber from Lowes?
As Jeff Bradshaw, over at Eldery Iron says: start them all before you tighten any.
That mustang was taken care of. My brother's mustang was abused and it is a 1999 3.8 L manual. The interior is destroyed. He's already changed the engine once.
I have that same milwaukee 3/8 impact. It will break chromies. Or.. it'll break Kobalt chromies.
It'll also drive 6" lag bolts and remove lug nuts. Freakin love that little thing. I also have the 1/4 and 3/8 snapon cordless ratchets.. freakin love those too. Would have considered milwaukee but they don't have the grease cert… Also my snap-on guy gave me lots of 'free' hats.
Hi Ray Greetings from Finland. Wreallly like your style to repair cars and yuors work ethics and honesty keep up to make awesome vids and all to best to you.
Why can't American car makers put a G.D. drain plug?
We call a Dealership a Stealership!
Fluid looked good. Cherry Red. Didn't smell bad.
Trans fluid has been drained this way all my life. Why no plug? Never made sense to me.
And try… "blub blub blub".
You don't want to be breaching the rim there.
Dipstick plug
You are a surgeon. 100 gloves per week. Ha!
Just normal wear and tear debris on that magnet. When you start seeing flakes and "sparkly" bits then you've got cause to worry. The fluid and filter both looked pretty good. That trans has a lot of life left.
Your pans bleeding. LOL
oh thank god you clipped that "dangly bit" back in place…. my low grade ocd was being tweaked the whole time… lol
Someone invent a torque wrench that says click. Possibly in Ray's voice.
Why dont manufacturers put drain plugs in the trans. pans?
Filling a metric gearbox in imperial units?! It's bound to leak! 😜
Jokes aside, Omega 917 does wonders for old, hard seals! It doesn't fix broken ones but can give a few more years of use before the expensive repairs. It ain't cheap but cheaper than the alternative 😉
It says RIGHT THERE: "This Pan equipped with a REUSABLE Gasket." OMG!!!!!
Rainman Ray must refer to ALL of the Brake Cleaner raining down from Rays victims.
Just me, I guess, but why no drain plug?
Tell Peters "dad" you do not employ relatives. One has to go.
I want to bring my 2002 Mustang for this guy to fix.
Stops those nasty little critters getting in the transmission during assembly.
It's CLEAN!
At least you know you were the first to remove the pan on that trans.
That plug is the trans dip stick plug. Trans is sealed and when installed the dip stick tube gets installed it pushes that plug into the pan.
Oh look other have already said it same time.
you could put an o-ring or thick ruuber washer that can slide over the suction tube to mark the point where it needs to stop during insertion. adjustable to any position
I need to find me a mechanic like you to work on my vehicle.
why Alot of asian cars are better drain plugs on everything 🙂
Plug used during assembly in the dipstick hole. When dipstick tube is installed that plug gets pushed into the pan.
where is ur shop
People get bothered over stuff that matters Zero? Get a hobby folks.
wonder why you put it all in and then took it out.
Again, why do they not put drain plugs on transmission pans?!?
That fluid was basically new it was redder then a baboons butt !
Dip stick plug
Tranny fill tube hose trick. Thanks
"all noise and nothing else"… man… how true how often. Nothing more laughable than loud a$$ cars that are screaming and not even doing 20mph after 100ft lol
I know it's been asked before, but once again, how often does a customer come by the shop and talk about the video and their automobile?
How bout this on your sound you need with pouring something??? Blep, blep, blep, blep blep blep blep! As you get deeper into the container just go up with your voice..
With the oil been that color it almost looke liks that mustang is bleeding >.<
That fluid was spotless for 86k miles !
No point in cleaning oil off underneath.
It protects from corrosion, well it does here in soggy UK anyway 🤭
No. Thank you, and have a great day.
Don't know for sure on a 2000 model but mine had a drain plug on the torque converter behind that rubber plug in the bell housing. Had to crank engine around until the drain plug lined up. When I do service, I vacuum the oil out through the dipstick tube. Makes it less messy. Love your work and videos a lot.
Heard someone on another Youtube channel doing up an nut and saying "Click". It's a clickage pandemic..
