Question? Why did you NOT change timing gears. With chain? Cam gear and Crank/ oil pump drive gear .
I want to Thank You, your videos are educational and enjoyable. As a old DYI under tree car repair person. Can’t pay for it, you DYI it. Did work in a repair shop in 1970.
I can tell this irks Ray. Someone probably told him that at 100k the sender unit needed replacing and that's just what he wanted. Just trying to get in his head. But I get why this would irk you. You are a mechanic and this customer is treating you like a parts monkey which goes against everything you stand for.
I don't want to be that guy but you left the plug seal in the old sensor

I have the same job on deck for 2010 CTS-4 3.0. The engineers hid the switch in the same place below the filter on the driver's side, with the same barriers in the way as you encountered. I have the GM replacement part, the oil pressure gauge is reading "0" and no codes are set. I see you emptied the power steering reservoir. I was hoping to avoid it. I guess no a magic mechanic's trick available. Good video.

Hey Ray….. Is the Cady 3.6 the same as the 3.6 in my wife’s Pontiac G8? Her check engine light has been on for 50,000 miles. The code is for the timing chain tensioner. It’s not noisy at all and still runs good….

Im an 80 year old Mopar Nut with a florida 66 dodge dart ragtop. Im a pressure wash mechanic so really do appreciate your videos. I have learned lots thank you sir. The videos arexalso used in evidance when your customer or management question IF and or why you replaced what you do. Love the earlier vids on battery terminal majntenance. I clean with brass brush and electrical cleaner to keep her starting and running well. Good job mr. Rainman.
Tappytapped!!!!
No more. Soft drinks!
30 plus years twisting wrench’s and Cadillac are by far the worst cars to work on. Retirement has left me with the Option to Not work on them ever again 🥳🥳🥳🤟🏻🤟🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Until I watched this particular video, I did not realize that you get time limits on the jobs you perform. I use to work on the line at GM and I got time limits for everything I did too. These stupid IE's (industrial engineers) set what they thought the jobs could be done in. They were never right!
You are so damn funny and fantastically cool!
Ray, do you get clostriphobic under the vehicles you work on?
Daddy never was, The Cadillac Kind,he said some things just Glitter and Shine

After watching a bunch of your videos, I'm always left with a bit of jealousy. I have to deal with cars in WI, and 50% of the fasteners you take off, I would need to use a torch, or they would just break due to corrosion from our winter road salt. I have had the luck of working on a few texas, louisianna,, and Florida cars…. and parts come off almost too easy
that 3.6L is a peppy lil 300 hp motor, not everyone wants to afford $4 premium fuel and 15mpg to sit in traffic.
