    Thanks Ray.
    Love your videos

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The_ Sword says:

So exactly WHEN /How did you realize the cam gear was backward ?

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Seasparrow says:

I would take a oversized deep socket to tap the timing gears in place…

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ozman Ozgood says:

nice work painting those parts customer will be happy 👍👍

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rude Dogg says:

It never ceases to amaze me how they have managed to take such simple, straightforward designs as the small block Ford and small block Chevy and completely f*** them up

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Lawrence says:

I really enjoyed your enthusiasm in your job. Great job.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars G R says:

Always always always…..apply sealant to the washer backing on the crank pulley.
It prevents oil from migrating down the bolt and washer.
    Nasty leak if you don’t.

And you know we love you brother….but did you use a torque wrench on those timing cover and crank pulley bolt ?

Torque is a big deal and nobody does it.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars K Campbell says:

    Beautiful….oB

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Thomas Gavin says:

    a beautiful job

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BE EASY says:

I like he actually cleaned parts and even painted it good shit

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Hudson says:

Would you advise added some anti-seize to the crank end before installing the pulley. For future removal ease if needed.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Whitelaw says:

As a matter of interest, who paid for the broken timing cover? I’ve worked for shops where the breakage was passed on to the customer as part of the ‘risk of doing the job….similarly, I’ve worked for shops who are the loss…plus one who charged the techs for breakages.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Timothy says:

I used to have a 95 mustang gt. I replaced just about everything on it. And I have to say Ford mustang is the worst car to work on. I now have a 07 corolla and 07 bimmer 328i E90 and they are both very easy to work on. IMO. F.O.R.D =Found On Road Dead

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars De Niro says:

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ian Walkinshaw says:

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars FriPilot says:

LOL! always check for serp belt diagram on hood or front cowl. Failing that, make your own. Been there, fought with those bastards.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chuck Erickson says:

Ray should be working teaching automotive mechanics and make the world a better place. He clearly enjoys his work and it shows. Honesty par none. I am buying something from your store for the enjoyment of watching a master craftsman showing the world how real mechanic do their jobs. Take a bow Ray !!!!!!!

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marvin Van Buren says:

Seeing that belt on the ac compressor off by one rib, is driving my OCD crazy.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John LaCroix says:

    You do excellent work Ray

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Thoridin58 says:

Wish I lived closer to Sarasota FL so I could take my vehicles to you Ray. Sadly I live up in the Atlanta GA area. Should I ever be near Sarasota and need repairs I will be calling every shop and asking if they have a mechanic named Ray that does YouTube videos. You are one of the best.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JSK says:

You're definitely no painter but I bet Picasso couldn't do a timing cover so there's that! Love your channel!

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kasual Skeptik says:

Why can't you use a straw or a chopstick to measure top dead center..?
I saw where your finger blocking the whole would indicate the compression stroke… Nice…

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kasual Skeptik says:

The patience to do a job like and remember where everything goes…. Hats off to you…!!
If you ever went independent, you would have a hell of a following, and we your fans, would do whatever it takes to help make you successful…

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Don's Junkmail says:

    You have a great day.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Don's Junkmail says:

Need clear radiator hoses to watch the antifreeze…the future is coming on.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Black III says:

I didn't like how that serpentine belt was riding on the idler pulley. It looks like you made an adjustment to it that didn't make the video. What did the ABS scan disclose? I like the extra effort after the timing cover breakage. It's obvious you care what your customers think about you.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars GMCGUY1985 says:

How do you put on the wrong part like that without checking first

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Don Goff says:

So, are you trying to fool the car gods by painting ford engine parts with chevy orange? LOL, looks better than the aluminum.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MPHans1214 says:

    Another great learning video!

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Milligan says:

How far did you go before you knew it was backwards? Did you get it all assembled?

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars cabottaxi says:

    Great in-depth videos

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Keith Dintze says:

I cannot give you enough thumbs down on that video.. If you were a Volkswagen mechanic you would be called a hack Mister.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Frank Stewart says:

Did you pull out the locking pin on the adjuster? Maybe I missed it.

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Jamison says:

That car looks nice from a distance, but I did notice a lot of orange peel in the finish (I painted cars for 17 years). Although, it is Florida the Orange State! If the owner likes it, that's all that matters! With painting all those years, you just notice stuff like that. Stills looks nice though and it's a sharp looking car.

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bic woolard says:

Hi Ray I really like the Chevy orange you put on the Ford ha ha

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TERRELL SCAIFE says:

Are you familiar with the 1999 mercury villager ignition system

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ange G says:

Stumbled across your YouTube site, absolutely love your work.
Your knowledge on the use of the scan tool amazes. me. Also your electrical knowledge is outstanding for a motor mechanic.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars wayne and levi says:

All those bolts have a ford torque spec!! The crank has a definite spec

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars theeddorian says:

Kind of wonder how that machine compares with my old '68 390 V8 fastback Mustang. I really regret selling it these days.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bob Bates says:

It's good to view a Honest mechanic!!

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrLoleen says:

Nice and thight, forget about that when you have children.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin Howell says:

Just curious if you changed the oil before you started the engine like you said you were going to??

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Donna Hollingsworth says:

I would apply sealant all over the timing chain gasket.

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave says:

Background music is always entertaining as well.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Lundstrom says:

Dude you do an awesome job! If I'm ever in Florida again I'll have to look you up

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jim Lundstrom says:

I hate the oh shit days when you get everything together and then it's oh shit I forgot this part. Lol but not lol
