Really enjoy your shows. Familiar with Ford twin I-beam suspension but never did any work on one. Good show! I subscribe and click the "like" button every time.
Should have tighten it after weight was on it.?? Good way to tear the bushing !
CLICK!!! 🤣
Dimer switch. I would like tp see the old starter pedal in the floor again. My Dad had a 59 Chevy pick up with the starter pedal in the floor.
High beam on off switch had on many of my cars in my younger days
Dimmer switch
High beam foot switch old Willy’s keeps had both high beam floor switches and starter switch on the floor circa 1945-46 war jeeps great fun to drive 3 speed boxes
Good job. Great INFO
The days when cars and truck were less complicated and easy to work on respectively. These were the kind of vehicles I grew up on and gained my mechanical abilities until I changed my career to being a nurse. Taught me some good basic investigative ways of approaching a problem that came in handy in nursing school, the ER, ambulance ride along and running wards in a hospital. Everything being relative. LOL
Is there a part number for that pry hammer?
Van Halen?
It’s a dip switch
anyone ever tell u u look like gary sinise?
Miss having that little button my first vehicle had one… 1989 f150 single cab with the straight 6 in automatic 2wd no options. Can't tell you how many people told me to get one of the cassette adapters to hook my phone to the radio. I couldn't because it didn't even have a cassette deck.
The foot switches for the passenger ejection seat.
i know, i know!!!!!
headlight switch
That little foot switch is for the Bluetooth.
Yep, I know.
question #1 answer high beam switch.
If the car was from the early forties that switch would be a starter switch. My dad had a Lincoln, I believe, that the foot switch pushed the starter into contact with the flywheel and made the electrical connection. In that truck that is the high beams.
High beams
No one can work your shaft like Peter!
That old skool ferd seems well constructed. It's tasks like this ferd that make one appreciate the utilitarian advantages of owning an air source and a good air hammer.
High beam switch ….. Am Probably too late to answer 🤔
High beam switch
Penetrating oils do not work as good as advertised… and definitely not on severely rusted nuts and bolts. They mostly only work on the surface but don't penetrate into the threads, maybe the first two if it's a reasonably clean nut or bolt. There is enough proof to be found on youtube… I would recommend the Project Farm channel, he tests a lot of these claims and various other very interesting testing with tools.
Demmer
Brights
Thank God that Ford done away with these Twin I Beam Suspension…
Just replaced one of those mystery parts in a 1966 Chevy C-10.
The old Ford truck that is the dimmer switch that's in the floorboard.
Headlight dimmer switch. Haven't seen one like that for years!
High bean foot switch. Never know why they got rid of them!
Older vehicles are so cool. So much easier to work on
WOW DUH its a dimmer switch for the headlights.
Just from observation, is there not a tie down on the floor you could have strapped to, and just ratchet it down? seems like it would be safer, and slip less. understanding of course you reinforce the lifted vehicle from tipping in the direction of the pull..
Dimmer switch.
High beam. Yes I miss that Era of cars also.
Dip switch…. In English, English… 😁😁
Sucky Ford TTB.
That’s a foot operated garage door opener.
The high beam switch is awesome, currently have an 85 f350 and I love that feature
once you take the bolt on the bushing , will help lifting the wheel with the transmission lifter, physics / leverage if you look back to the video ,you will see the wheel going up with the pry bar action
high /low beam selector …love it……
High beam switch , used to play with that in my dad's 85 F150
Remove the spring retainer on the top spring hanger, and unbolt the shock less pry bar and strain on those muscles good job man
an amazing switch that some don't know how to use in Newcastle lol but definitely life savers
It's a dimmer switch. Kinda hard to get your hand on while driving!
