Why not just use the coil plug to remove the spark plug works all the time for me
The quality of video and audio is great. Can’t say for sure that is better because I have watched a lot of videos and the others were fine as well…..never noticed an issue with the other camera. More importantly, I enjoy the content and have learned a lot watching.
Video looks the same, also to the Hero 10 gopro..
I have a 2016 Ford Escape titanium with a 2.0 ecoboost and my plugs are 5/8". I wonder when they made the switch. I have a 10" 5/8" magnetic socket with a swivel extension built in and I love it. The whole thing is 10" long.
Video is clear. You didn't mention blowing dirt first from engine before plug removal.??
When wobbly is too wobbly could try black tape wrapped on it.
What is a coil? What is its function?
Didn't notice a difference in video quality actually. Your bore inspection video was lacking IMHO.
Good picture quality
Those little Ford engines come with direct injection, turbo, intercooler and lots of problem as they age. And ageing means: lots of problems starting at 50k miles…..
The spark plug angle is related to the fuel injector angle; something true with both port and/or direct injectors. The placement of port injectors under the intake manifold is not poor engineering, it I purposely done so they point directly at the intake valve (s) and the plugs need to be at the proper angle for best efficiency.
Rainman Ray, Love the videos Your picture quality is very good and the audio comes through nice too. I like how you explain what your are doing and how things are supposed to be. Keep up the good work. John in Missouri Valley Iowa
Oh I forgot, Live long and prosper 🖖
Good quality picture , love the camera shot of the piston 👍
Those 1.5s have a lifespan of about 75,000 miles.
Video seems to be pretty crisp and clear to me ,very good actually. Cheers from Australia
That must be the common plug size, ford started the 9/16 in 04 with the 5.4 3 valve engines
Ray I think the New Go Pro is slightly more clear…..
Yeah yeah, bore-camera time….!!!
The new GoPro-9 seems to be working fine, audio and video are great…
Video quality was crap when you asked, checked and was only 480p. Changed to 1080, reviewed and it was great. Image stability when driving is excellent. The trees remain fixed while you can see the camera is bouncing.
What you call cotter pins are really split pins. Cotter pins are a tapered rod…. But who's counting! I use REAL cotter pins on old suspension bits and however Americans came to call split pins cotter pins is a mystery to me. Cotter pins are a shimming type device. Always a big fan of yours. I admire your work ethic and skills. Bobby
how do you not have a 9/16, they worth gold it the 80's
Everything looks and sounds great!
IM A FORD TECH HERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA ON THE 1.5 MOTORS COOLANT INTRUSION IS THE CAUSE OF THE MISFIRE. IF YOU NOTICED THE COOLANT TANK WAS EMPTY FILL ITS AND PRESSURE TEST AND INSPECT WITH SCOPE THERES A TSB FOR SHORT BLOCK REPLACEMENT IF LEAK IS FOUND. 90% THATS THE PROBLEM
@Ray – Any recommendations of cleaning out carbon build up from an ecoboost – 3.5L to be exact?
Video and audio are perfect
Should move that phone to Orlando!
Great. Skillful, job!
Any one else notice the 17.7 avg mpg?
Love the unintentional creed -my sacrifice soundtrack. Class album.
Audio seems beter.
I have heard you say that "these plugs look factory" several times on Ford products… They way to tell if they are factory installed plugs are that the the tip of the plugs, boot side, has paint on them. Check it out next time. Love your videos btw.
EcoBoost are known for Burning mad oil
NEW CAMERA PERFECT
Should use your camera to see how the cleaner worked
video and sound is very good
Hmmm….I wonder why he didn’t address the empty degas bottle? This one came back for sure!
Video and audio are quite improved to my eye.
This is why people are suppose to have there engines service for carbon build up
Why don't you use some anti-seize on the new plugs to help out the next mechanic, or is that not a recommended application for plugs, sense I never see it done??
Aka ecoboom
Look in to STP pro series valve cleaner takes 9 minutes and can be done with one person auto dispenses with a timer and can be hung from hood with a hook on top of the product.
An ecoboost with a misfire and carbon build-up what a surprise. Like all diesels emissions kill these engines, bypass the pcv value and half the carbon issue will disappear and a chemical valve cleaning service every 10-15k miles and it's will be as good as it can get for the design.
Video quality alot better, 😁👍
I do have a question. I never see anyone gapping the plugs on the newer stuff. I guess it just doesn't matter anymore or are the plugs already pre gapped? The ones I buy say pre gapped but it's never the case for me, lol. I always have to gap them.
Hi from bonny scotland love some of the names you call parts in the usa
Great video, i've heard about GoPros locking up and people losing videos and the slow SD card issues but i've also heard that the newer GoPro9 they have added more software programs over what is on the GoPro8 and some say that can cause lockups as there may be too much software running in the background.
I like "ye olde rubber hose trick" for installing Plugs just to be sure.
