Don't you blow line around oil cap and you should now use a funnel at least as the rubbish around oil filler caps where you spilt the oil during flow's now inside the engine bad boy.
I bet that viewer that complained about throwing customers personal property would have died when I rebuilt the rear brakes on my truck. (Sadly that was before I started my channel)
The brakes were so beyond salvage and normal disassembly we literally had to use a sledgehammer to break the drums. I now have better tools for breaking drums too. 😂

There is another thing you should have mentioned with back brakes. Some of them you have to have the tool to twist and push at the same time if you try to just push them it will wreck the caliper
Um just saying but you need to have more then 1 lug when looking at runout the 1 lug is not going to let that sit right the low point was next to lug nut, high point was opposite lug nut
i would have changed them just from the cracking.

You consistently said "out of round," while the measurement you were taking was of how flat the rotor was, not how round it was. With just one lug nut holding the hub, I think that at least some of the error was just run out from the single fixed point. That said, I enjoyed the video.
Cant you just mic the rotor in a couple of places and check the run out that way?

I work for a large bank and have been involved in new branch openings. You will be shocked how much they spend on each chair for example. Each chair was custom made and was $8K for at least one type of them for customers to sit at. Expensive stuff!
For my personal chair at home I had invested $1300 and its been worth every penny. Use it a LOT daily. Got that back in 2015 and still works great along with my standing desk. I also now work from home daily and did back when I bought the desk and chair but yes its been worth it! But $8K on a chair… nope!

Actually, have you tried using the oil dipstick as a guide? Pull dipstick out of slot, put end in the oil fill hole. Pour oil down the dipstick. Should have enough viscosity to stick and go directly into the engine with no mess…

i always stick with the manufactures recommended oil weight. i was surprised you moved to 5w30

I had to look up the cost of the x-chair after I heard you guys discussing 7k for a chair. The most expensive I found was just over 2k. Still expensive, but not as bad as 7k
On the rear brakes if you put the old pad on to push in the piston it gives even pressure and won’t brake the piston
Ray, since the old rotors show hot spots and surface cracks, indicating to me that the little car gets driven like a mini-NASCAR-mobile, why not recommend cross drilled rotors to facilitate cooling?
what ive found is that almost ALWAYS the rotors get warped because the idiots at the tire shop put the lug nuts on with the air impacts and dont use a torque wrench.

You don't pre-fill the filters because of a chance of debris, yet you fill the engine without cleaning the area which has visible debris. Your logic is unsound. 🙂
Funny you make such a big deal out of not adding oil to the filter because of contamination, then dump oil on the dirty filler tube I know the will go to the filter prior to the main bearings LOL. I fill my oil filters because I don't want the bearings pounded prior to the oil pressure coming up and I don't get shit in the filter.

Personal opinion on allowable run out of 0.003 is not so good when you consider there is another side to that rotor that could be running out as well at 180 degrees from where you indicate on the first side. 0.003 don't sound like a lot but if the rotor is not running as true as the bearing plus factor in speed you have friction. Rotors are typically ground both sides in the same set up. As well your test set up has to replicate the exact conditions of the rotor motion.
