I'm wondering, I see you injecting "UV" dye and on your other videos one can see leakage of said dye; have you ever used a black light to fluoresce the dye?

You'll probably go deaf when you're about 50 when your ears start to ring and everything else starts to go wrong with you too but don't leave your eyes go to hell wear eye protection at all times. A nice face shield would do.
ray remember that if you have a high discharge you’ll have a high suction unless the evaporator is plugged or fan not working. Also high discharge could be caused by slightly dirty or dirty condenser.
I guess that I might have given the A/C compressor a few manual turns before hooking up the belt just in case it might have seized and that caused the old belt to fly off. Just a precaution…

so after watching this video …..curiosity got the better of me …..had to check my serpentine belt , the letters were backwards , your OCD triggered mine , thanks to you drawing my attention to it !!! ………OCD fixed the troublesome backward facing lettering ……….
Yeah. My 77 Chrysler has 2 belts V belts to drive the compressor and I can't handle when the lettering isn't lined up but wouldn't you know that one is always longer than the other and they start to move away from each other. I refuse to look at them when it's running or I'll go absolutely bonkers trying to get them together again.
Just explain to the customer that you have to wait to replace a high side valve and if there was any line seals that were easy to reach I would have replaced those too on on the line set if there was a one or two that's really easy to reach just replace those tell him to come back when they get the part the high side valve
Gotta have a/c in Fl! Just finished rebuilding the a/c on my 2000 GTP, compressor, condenser, evap., new lines, vacuum and recharge. 38 degrees on full blast! It's so cold it hurts, I LOVE IT!

Funny you should mention ocd regarding letter number alignment on those belts. I know an electrician who said when installing wall plates for switches etc, he always turns the screws so the slots are all either horizontal or vertical. I thought I was the only one, and I'm not an electrician. I had to laugh. Bringing order out of chaos one screw and belt at a time. Fun and informative content. Goood clear video.
I always put my belts with the letters facing backwards. My truck is now faster in reverse. I was using belts without letters but the dammn buckles made so much noise over the pulleys.
Careful: There's a TSB on that platform. It says "compressor oil-slugging" will cause the tensioner to wildly oscillate, usually causing it to smack against the trans cooler lines and/or throw the belt off. The fix is an upgraded compressor and accumulator. I think the TSB is on "Gates" brand's website somewhere. Happy wrenching 🤙

This is why I'm glad my car has only a single accessory belt on its transversely mounted engine. It doesn't matter which way the letters face!

Could you have started the engine and then hit the balancer pulley with a small wire brush?
Re the lettering. My favourite management guru taught me that consistency is something you have to be inconsistent about. 🙂

Get yourself a small rare earth(strong) magnet to hold belt in place while u wrestle it onto other pully

you found a cap for them too on the low side. you do go above and beyond, sir.
Those fan clutches often fail.
I was concerned that you didn't check the compressor pulley and clutch. Also. An oz of oil plus 1.6 oz of dye is gonna be overcharged man. Cmon

Ray you really need a 5/16 hose clamp T-handle torque wrench found in Lowe's in the plumbing section, then you can do your signature "click"
I did the same thing for my 1500 around the same time this video came out had to do it from the ground new belt and tensioner
