We'll find it next to that old thermostat…..wherever that is.

    SEND IT!

The broken dipstick is common to chrysler T&C. use a wood screw to extract it. new one is 15 from chrysler. they stock them. the cooling system on these is crap. heater hose Y pipes, radiators are crap. Also, air conditioning leaks out. wiring harnesses on sliding doors wears out over time. Check engine light is there to say it is operating properly. Will never own one of these again. brakes last 20K miles. Nightmare for maintenance. No check transmission dipstick. crazy.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marc Shaner says:

How do you do your job? I wouldn’t last 2 days. I’d tell a customer like that to go f$@k himself. Period.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Adonis says:

Honestly can't blame customers asking for the minimum. Unfortunately there are many mechanics and shops out there that aren't as honest as you. Yet another industry where workers are underpaid or rushed and do shady things to make more money. You and other honest mechanics are a rare commodity.

If the coolant was pro bono thumbs up it's the thing to do

treat every customer the same with attitude respect and charisma. Shouldn't put other people down just because they don't have funds or just don't want it done. Just because they're older doesn't necessarily mean they're always bad vehicles. I'll work in the garage in a small town have all the capabilities you have there. But the same time some people are on a fixed income or do not have a big piece of plastic to throw around and act like (oh there's $3,000 will pay it off eventually.) Sorry but that is not the way society works with all the electronics nowadays everybody thinks you can walk up plug in and know exactly what the problem is. But when a customer comes in with a rattle on the top end or a knock on the bottom that takes us as mechanics to decipher the mechanical failure not always the electrical components to be continuously replace when they go bad . We always treat every customers vehicle the same regardless of their income the way they called looks or what is inside just because somebody has a older vehicle does not mean it's a piece of junk I'll work with you guys like that. And when it comes to mechanical failures they always have a problem because they rely on the electronics to tell them things. A computer is not going to tell you that broadbearing number three is 13,000 out of spec. And instead of rod bearings that cost less than $130 will get them 50 or 60,000 more miles

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pastyman says:

Should have lost the car not the thermostat.
Can hear the professional disappointment in your voice Ray, but you can't help those that won't help themselves.
Personally the customer deserved just water being put back in, but your professionalism would not allow you to do that.
Well done you have he higher ground.

Almost a year later, that piece of garbage is probably part of the junkyard collection.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jack Harrison says:

The scrap yard like most Chryslers end up in 👎😳👎

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel C says:

It’s a Chrysler , I would not expect it to last long!

    He said Shit

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Allen Bo says:

Someone who takes care of their ride will fall apart in 50,000 miles. This car with the owner going bare minimum will probably last 200,000.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Whitelaw says:

Ok…the future for this? Consecutive warning lights…all of which are deemed your fault because you laid hands on it. Each set of codes will result in ‘Just fix the most important/least expensive one.’ Eventually, this little vehicle will give a multi-system, collective “I’m outta here” and solve everyone’s problem by throwing a rod.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Whitelaw says:

Look…we’ve all been there. Customer rolls in, describes symptoms, we find the fault(s), the well works up a quote…..and the customer faints! “Just do the minimum” they yell….and we send vehicles back out there knowing they’ll be back, or worse, knowing they’re dangerous – hence the waivers on our invoices…..still leaves a bad taste though. Someone might die because of something we knew was dangerous. My shop impounds dangerous vehicles, but then we have the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency that will back us up. If it’s dangerous it doesn’t leave the shop.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Lawrence says:

I think that a tow truck or abandonment are in the future for that vehicle.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars josh pittman says:

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Wausau Dude says:

I think the bigger question here is there any Chrysler minivan out there that’s not junk?

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cathy Proctor says:

Vehicle is a POS, going home and you will never see it again. You have a great day too.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars It's Me! MB! says:

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gerald Ensign says:

Well I think it'll last about 90 ft or 90 seconds with a little bale and wire and a good kiss on the window Good night

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David S says:

I see a cracked block in its future.

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Cerjak says:

When I replaced the fan relay on our 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan, I had to remove the driver's side headlight. Stupid engineers. We had that van until 2018. My neighbor's father-in-law still dives it!

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Edwin Semidey says:

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars DarkskullDriver says:

Your intros are Epic my friend🏆

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jp s says:

One of those multiple problems will finally catch up to the vehicle and it will stop working off to the junkyard the owner will go to another used car lot for cheap vehicle for another couple months

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lysander Lysandrou says:

Always nice to see some of these people "loving" their cars. 🤣🤣🤣

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars sand 007 says:

Do I detect some disdain and contempt when describing this Chrysler product?

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Spacecoastz says:

I would refuse the "water only" as coolant….that does a huge disservice to the vehicle and the potential next owner. What a smuck owner. Edit….glad to see at the end you did refuse.

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve DeLeon says:

As a Fellow "Knuckle Buster" I Pray 🙏that "Piece Of Shit" never comes back to you!

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Star says:

I wish u would do a meeting With the car owners stating the problem and how they found out about the problem and then reveal their reaction afterwards I know the reaction is not going to be anything exciting it’s going to give me something to judge them on and i think this is my kink

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Price says:

    Junk yard fodder

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Keith Radford says:

Too many problems, repairs would cost more than the van is worth and he junks it trades it or sells it (if someone will buy it).

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Davis says:

All you did was stall the inevitable. Car was junk when it came in. You gave it a little more life, but that was probably the last time it gets any help.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shawn Cole says:

    Never to be seen again

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Torres says:

Customer comes back and complains what the hell am i going to do with the ten gallons of water in my trunk.Ray with every video you take me to another level of respect for you. Keep em coming.

  50. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ronald St Hilaire says:
