Oh yeah. I forgot to tell thanks for helping figure out which side bank 2 was on for a oxygen sensor. I caught myself saying click when I put the wires back together. Thanks again
Your the man. I watched your video on fixing a electric window motor and it came right out and the new one went back in easily. Those two clips cost me a couple of bandages but I got it. Thanks
I haven't seen all your videos (yet), but I think this is the first time I've seen you remove the top of and engine where you didn't have to take out half the engine bay. 🤣.
Ray, I just rewatched the video, and I don't think I ever saw the low oil level/Life indicator on the Accord's dash, but it was obviously low. Why is that? Did I miss it?
Earth Dreams box is burning oil. Earth Dreams Box is burning oil because of fuel diluting the oil. Top end of the Earth Dreams Box looks very clean as it should for about 60K miles on it. Just have to add oil between oil changes or see if there's a recall from Honda for a fuel system software update. Generally even on the DI engines Honda's put more fuel in at cold start to light off the catalytic converter quickly, the problem is that it washes oil off the cylinder walls and oil control piston rings. The fuel gets into the crankcase/engine oil and dilutes the engine oil and burns off the engine oil.
It's also possible that the rattling when the engine was started is from the vtc great on the can shaft. It's really common for those to start rattling on cold start ups in k series engines.
wow , how old is that car …not very ……I own a 22 year old Ford AU2 Ute , with a 4.0 liter inline 6 Intech motor , she has just over 100k (miles) on the clock , and when I change the oil , not only does the same amount I put in come out , but it looks like the day I put it in . I guess regular oil and filter changes speak for themselves (I change the oil and filter every 6 months , I've owned the vehicle for 13 years)
Is “parasitic” the most accurate definition ? I have always held the notion that parasitic load is what your vehicle draws while it’s parked and shut down … things like the clock, radio station presets , odometer, service indicators.. anything I’m missing ?
At least she got it worked on BEFORE the engine seized . . . was in a friend's car, he kept driving it making a loud banging noise until he got it parked; it seized right there.
In the tradition of Samuel Jackson, "I'm tired of all these mother f*cking sensors on this mother f*cking car." For real though, can I get a few more sensors on there please? I don't think I can read the air quality of China.
I have a rattle in my 2016 pilot with the earth dreams box. 90k, sounds like a metalic tap and it only happens between 2700-3000 rpms. Consistent with the engine. I have replaced the timing belt and tensioner, water pump, and all that. Did an engine flush and put some good oil in it. It seemed to go away for about 2 miles and then it was back when the engine was warm. ANYONE have any idea of what this is? I appreciate any info. THANK YOU!
Replaced the valve cover gaskets on my '03 Forester. Fast forward about a year and I did the head gasket replacement. Found oil in some of the spark plug wells. Second set of valve cover gaskets got a lite coating of grey RTV on the spark plug well gaskets. Haven't checked to see if they're leaking. Head gaskets are sealing well. No more oil on the exhaust!
I hate how many covers are on engine these days it's stupid I want to see that engine I don't know about you I take those off when I buy a car if they have them most cars I buy don't have those

I hate putting rubbers on too…

must be a tree huggin hippy car..wth is this earth dreams crap
Your red letters don’t show up very well or long enough to read
"Earth Dreams"was just a variation on a theme of consecutive Honda advertising dialogue.
Super great job!
Lots of visible TLC you gave that car.
STILL CAN'T GET OVER HOW MUCH PLASTIC PARTS ARE ON ENGINES NOWADAYS!
these "earth dreams engines" are predestined for destruction, if not self inflicted….or in other words, garbage.

A reminder: Don't forget to tighten that!
Awesome job Ray, I like attention to detail and cleanliness. Kudos to the owner also
That battery looks overkill
Earth Dreams! Catchy

Just noticed that this video is exceptionally quiet… Are you alone after hours in the garage ??
Also, the lighting and video quality is amazing…

The 2.4 didn’t really have that problem but the 1.5 did. Use 0w16
Damn. Where is my earth dreams box in my ride? Does it have an air filter? Who put your voice on that goofy lookin cartoon character?
Why 2k miles oil ck and not 500 miles if it's going to happen you'll know before 2k
At least she got it worked on BEFORE the engine seized . . . was in a friend's car, he kept driving it making a loud banging noise until he got it parked; it seized right there.
WHAT IN THE BLUEST OF BLUE FUCKS IS AN EARTH DREAMS BOX???!!!
Not going to lie, thought it was sort of Indian when I read "Earth Dreams Box makes Rattle noise!"

Love the way you work. Making sure it goes out cleaner than when it came in. Perfect.
Such a wide range of knowledge is needed.
Great, did you get that blood sugar checked ?

You are a fast worker, and very organiced.
Since you mentioned this engine design had some oil burning issues, I thought it SOP to pull at least one spark plug to check for burned oil.
Oh, the Power of Dreams!
So with all the oil leaks, does that make it wet dreams?😆
Better reason to start fasteners by hand – avoid cross-threading and spending the next 20 hours fixing the trashed threads, broken bolts, etc.
I wonder what is on the earth dreams box, maybe the hope left from the Pandora's one
Earth dreams….more like terrestrial nightmare
Awesome what you offered to the customer to check the oil in 2000 miles!

Had to get it out of 66six

Any engine that says Earth or Eco is usually garbage
Should have got a Toyota I mean if you're going to buy Japanese you might as well get the best one right
No dielectric grease on the coils?
