To avoid causing any confusion,I want to let everyone know that this grinder cut happens to be a design feature. The upper third of the part is the transmission cooler and the lower section is the A/C condenser. I wasn't able to find out why GM is making this cut. I can only surmise that it's being done to isolate the two separate sides to prevent heat transfer.
Watching your videos and learning a lot. You have been a mechanic for a while. Like the one liners. Keep up the good work.

Notorious problem on the newer Chevrolet and GMC trucks.
Micro-channel coils like that, the condenser coil 'tubing' is like, the size of a paper-clip wire. Uses less freon overall.
I literally had a radiator like that a month ago!
Well, THAT was something you don't see every day! Wonder where that part was manufactured????
How else do you get the hand finished feel?
You forgot to say…Have a great day. But you were such a green horn back then in the ways of video production. Doodly Doodly Do.
Interesting that it had a yellow line like they knew it’s a bad part.
Looks like the fault was found prior to your receipt, marked, and then accidentally put into stock. Unless you added the yellow mark.
Nemoj se ljutiti stvarno je tako.
Volimo da gledamo tvoje videje.
How the hell did that even happen at the factory? That's what I want to know. Then to ship the thing in a brand new box like "everything's fine, no one will notice."
My ‘99 condenser is the old school kind with way bigger tubes that can actually be flushed. Still blows ice cold. Whats the point of tiny ones
Only a true pro can turn a disasters into a look and learn lesson
haha, that part is already marked it looks like by QA staff, so you got sent a known bad part.
Correction it was brand new now it's just a used piece of s***
Those trucks, Chevy, GMC and Cadillac have warranty extension , they leak at that exact same spot.
Alrighty…Never buy a Sierra….I bet cars half the price have a better design lol
Shameful.
"Professional Grade".
Interesting, always looked at the radiators and wondered how exactly coolant traveled through it. Thank you!
I am in appliance repair it's a crime when you get a new part in box, and someone reboxed their old part and sent it back.
That's eazy to replace in west, but, try to do that here in the Philippines. Hah hah hah, if You didn't have gray hair, after processing this country's bureaucracy, then You definitely will have.
Oh, we need Pakistani technicians. They could fix the hole without replacing the entire unit.
Braze it
all I gotta say as a retired senior citizen is: "you young guys inherit a really crappy world."
Suppose the part was tested to be defective and so someone decided to MAKE DAMN SURE that it didn't get delivered? Someone else said, "watch this" and out the door it went! YIKES!
I've seen 5 radiators new in the box. With that saw cut.
That's a cut away GM part
Oopsie
🖒🤠
What the FU……….
Extra venting for more cooling.
They just took off more material to make it lighter. The car will be faster now.
It’s called micro channel condenser, we use these on commercial refrigeration
Piss poor quality control at the dealer for failing to closely watch what is returned.
OMG é MéŘâĆhŘěÂđ Bhatt-A-Mhann
Blows my mind how so much shit is made!! Unbelievable how people come up w things and not just the parts but also the machinery used to make those parts .. 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Pretty obvious this was a scrapped warranty defective part that an un knowing tech installed (common prob as tech training and compensation has declined)
Tell me it ain't so !
I can't believe that radiator was were up like that being brand new
It's a common issue with the GM the welds brake
“New” parts are horrible, no matter the brand or where you get them.
Like a rock
This seems to be a common issue with ac Delco parts
To me this looks like a destruction cut to void it being used. Then someone accidentally shipped it out.
“If you're not asking for it, you're asking for it,” – ACDelco
"We are Professional Grade." – GMC
I couldn't see them. Break out the microscope please.
Unbelievable
During the acdelco strike I think the workers who stayed as scabs from the union but we're in the union. did sabotage like that to get their point across.
Micro-channel condenser?
Wow, reading the video description, I'm surprised. This wasn't published on April 1st, was it?
Thst yellow paint probably marked it as a reject part bur it still made it to shipping somehow.
