In a previous video https://youtu.be/3wShoqvnVYE I had a look at a customers Envoy XL and found it did not have quite enough fuel pressure. The customer gave us the OK to drop the tank and make a few more checks to make sure it IS the fuel pump that needs to be replaced.

Do tell….whatcha got for a new camera…
I was just wondering how Vinny was doing glad to see that he's doing well.
And that's F'ing Team Werk>>…
hi mister eric please tell my better scan tool Thinktool Pros or autel mp808ts
Long time viewer first time commenter. Just want to say I love your content and the premise! True inspiration! Keep up the good work!
Phil makes all the girls moist in his appearances
Decent video but dualing brass hammers OH BABY 🤣 there’s a show! those brass hammers are 50 bucks and up can’t imagine what chisels cost 🤔
The new camera has a great picture but crappy audio, very canny
New camera looks good. Image stabilization is nice.
How many journeyman techs does it take to install a lockring? 😁
Don't be weird
I've never had too replace wheel bearings on a car but then I don't keep them for that long, about 5 years or 15 years old.
My guy crushed it.
Another helpful and entertaining video.
I've never had to drop the tank to get at the fuel pump, or gauge. Just remove the back seat and there it all is. Having said that, I haven't watched Pt 1 yet 🙂
Does Phil get to use this shop time as professional development hours? That'd be awesome if he could.
That didn't seem weird. Now, if Phil wasn't wearing pants, that might of been weird — MIGHT
Good job Eric! I have a 2005 Envoy that had a fuel guage problem along with dash works
going bonkers which was a recall item back around 2014! GM wouldn't honor the recall
and so my girl friend ended up having to pay for the work done!! I had advised her to raise
hell about it but she wouldn't but instead she chewed my ass for telling her to take it into the
dealer that she bought it from!
I found fuel pumps never quit on an empty tank they always quit when the Tank's full or at least a half a tank
whos Phil?
Bye Edsel 👋
That team hammering was awful close to the Dutch Rudder. Keep it clean now.
How long has Phil been an auto mechanic… and is he from that area?
YouTube must hate you, should have 10 million subscribers. You're channel is that good.
What do you call a guy who lays in a hole all day? Phil. 😆😁😄
Seriously though, could you do a video and explain what fuel trims are and how they pertain to an engine's operation?
And let's not forget those cameo appearances by Mrs. O. She is the bomb!
There could be dozens of videos on this subject but I'll only be watching this one.
Yea for new characters! Can’t wait to hear what Phil’s up to
Chinese Finger Trap
<3
Camera looks good
The fuel in the arm pits. No truer words have been spoken. You should write a book and call life on the lift.
Did Josh or The Eligible Bachelor leave? Or is Phil a third tech for you? Love the videos
TY,,,,,,WOW incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA+++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work.
I got lucky one time with a bad fuel pump when the tank was low. To bad it was on a car were you just had to pull out the seat cushion to get to the pump.
You are the man Mr O.
You can buy a cheap polarizing filter for most cams, to cut the reflective glare.
Honda Pilot fuel pump is even easier!
Chevrolet!
As my boss has said before….."I seent it"……
Good to see that Vinney and his SMA certified scooter are still around!
What is the new camera?
What happened to Avoca’s most eligible batchlor?
philbert
Phil Phil he's our man,, if he can't do it no one can.. yay Phil! You did pretty okay too Eric LOL LOL
didnt we say good bye to the Edsel 62 years ago???
compare the old one to the new part
Camera looks good. Maybe it's just me, but sound seemed softer than usual. Had to turn it up from where it was in part 1.
He has a great voice, he should do Coor's beer commercials.
Love this channel
The quality of the video is really good. I noticed right away you have a new camera.
Here is my tip….buy only the oem fuel pump because I never had a non-oem fuel pump to last very long. Trust me!
I was afraid Covid got Vinny. Glad to see he is still with us !
Phil got bored and walked away when the mud map was used . Lol
I never had sense enough to add light bulbs til I get to the proper amp test level. But now! I do!
When lifting out tanks and working on fuel pumps – lines – filters . I use electrical tape to wrap hand towels or rags around my forearms . It stops fuel in the armpits or below the mason Dickson … it’s not good . Lol
That Phil is a keeper
Camera looks great in the light.
Thanks for helping Phil. I'm always amazed at how much our vehicles depend upon electronics to function.
True story. When I was young I called Ed Powell's Garage (RIP) and asked for a back seat for a 58 Edsel 4 door dump truck and he said he had it. He was known for saying he had parts that he didn't have. 🤣
Bye Eddy… Faceless Phil was awesome. Had that tank in and out in a snap!
I'm always amazed by the rusted out undersides of the cars and trucks you works on. I wonder, have you ever told a customer their vehicle is so rusted out you wouldn't work on it? More, they should stop driving it?
Most GM's are a pain about fuel pump R&R
Changed the fuel pump on my '99 Silverado. Easiest way to get to it was to take the bed off. Four bolts and some screws for the filler neck, a few wire harness connections and the bed came off with no fuss. Wheel base looks so short without the bed.
Nice Edsel!
The Nissan Pulsar /Senna I own to remove the fuel pump you only have to pull to bottom of the back seat up & out & it's right there. The only other one I replaced was in a locally made ( the good old days) was out of a GM-Holden Commodore wagon & it was on the bottom of the tank so all I had to do was put it on the hoist & raise it up drain the tank by taking the lock ring off & wiggle the pump to remove the fuel then take out the pump ( all the time I worked at that shop it was the only one that I replaced.)
I just wanted you to know that you have got to be the best at figuring out what is wrong with a vehicle! Been watching for a few years, actually started watching when I got my first Honda….few hours ago for sure. Like to get a chance to chat with you one day. I'm a veteran living in my Chevy express with my cat Jake. Got electrical issues with the old girl, she's a 98 with a 305 sure would love to get your opinion on the old girl. Anyway I love your channel and keep up the excellent work!!
Good job really enjoy watching your channel. Retired mechanic here glad to be done getting greasy and frustrated.
how you guys finding the right AES terminal tool to use for connectors? just keep trying one till it fits good? i often struggle finding the right flat blade one because there are so many options and all so close to eachother. maybe im just dumb…
isnt phyl what the mobsters called the dead body at the landfill??? lol popular guy. i see signs everywhere misspelled: "fill wanted"
Great camera!
Eric is out Phil is in! 🙂
I am surprised the timing chain is still intact.
So what do we know about the mysterious Phil? Packers hat, check. Tattoos, check. Wedding ring, check. Greying beard, check. Tune in next episode for more clues in the case of the mystery mechanic! By the way, my name is also Phil and it felt like a personalized video to me,
Good job Phil, Eric is lucky to have you theses days. 😉
No wheel bearing carnage?
Nice job phill mr.O seems to be ok with your work so far.
Dont yell at Phil…..he is new.
Eric: in short,,, with 50+ yrs. in this trade, (40, owning my own shop) I can count on my 2 hands, the Tech’s I truly respect ! & U my friend,,, is on that list ! Suck, Squeeze , Bang , blow ! Only diff. , fuel injection ! 14.7:1 !, modules ,22 gauge wiring ,KISS theory, “who cares what make/ model,,,,” that’s what makes you special,,,, In My Books ! Motto , leave it & I will see what I come up with,,,, ! Have a good one !
Would you not wire the test lamps in series to give the supply a stress test?
Never thought of doubling the load with lights like that.. Nice tip!
Five years ago I needed a ride whether temporary or not and just came across a GMC Envoy XUV SLT V8 the day before it was getting crushed for a "blown engine." It was a battery with an internal short and I never want another vehicle as this is the handiest vehicle ever with about $3k in it now. Replacing the starter was on par with replacing the rear turbo in the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 I also saved from crunch crunch. Looking for an 82-84 Corolla hatchback if anyone knows of one for a commuter.
Hello Phil, I haven't seen the worlds most eligible bachelor lately. nor the 2 ladies that used to be around. What gives?
Has Phil asked for your autograph yet?
Lived through the operation to see part 2 .
Eric you got eyes behind your head …that Edsel pulled away as you spook…dude… you sure you're not from another planet? Great video and thanks Phil for doing the dirty work!
Phil is one lucky guy to get to work with you 👍
I think the proper saying when you verify a fix on a Chevy by giving it the full beans is "we done did it!"
The test drive sounded like. Kamala Harris speaking.
Great video! Keep up the awesome work you do!
'Tanks' for part 2, hopefully part 3 is a wheel bearing…
Hey Eric, love your videos. But I miss the intro you used to do. Please bring that back. Thank you!
Phil is wearing a Green Bay Packers hat. What's up with that?
Phil has tats !
Is it the ethanol in the gas that ruins the sending units or do they just make them from crappy material?
Often a $100,000 automobile will graciously sacrifice itself to save a $0.35 fuse.
C'mon Phil! 🤣👍
Once again another great video from Mr. O.
New cam looks great. Sounds great too. What did ya pick?
