…. this was easy, and now it snot!
Deez nuts!
Said it!
😂
No hurry Ray to get back into bigger things we are always here. There is more to watching Rainman Ray than doing larger jobs.
Ray have you seen this kids book "dee's big nuts" by Mark thunder ? Lol
I remember when I was in high school they passed around a survey that asked how expensive gas would have to be before I stopped driving and I said $2…yep, I definitely lied
I wish I could find an easier way to work on my 6.0L Powerstoke in my E-350 van instead of removing the body from the chassis.
Damn i miss them good ol days when tightening the Nator belt was done by feel.
Always admire your camera work Ray, makes u feel like you're there doing the job yourself so to speak – really appreciate your great videos down here in Oztraya!
Algorithm doodly-doo.
I have a 1976 dodge minni winni with the 460 with a 4 barrel
The 460 was a good motor, we had them in a couple of Lincoln Continental town cars.
I remember pumping gas checking under the hood and cleaning windows for 58;cents in 1975 I was 9 and my dad owned a union 76 station.
I’m striped 2nd to last and acted like it didn’t happen😂
I did my 1989 Ford E350 RV 460 Hollie 7.5L V8 belts myself. Not too complicated, mine only had two belts. Great engines, they do not notice the hills they just glide up them hills. Though the trade off is bad fuel economy but hey it is an RV. Lots of weight to lug up a hill.
Ray, as a lifelong line mechanic, I appreciate these jobs. We all hate the vehicle that comes in wanting belts and hoses, one axle seal replaced, and change the engine oil. But hey, in the end , it all pays the same !
If you used a deeper socket on the alternator bolt you could have made it more difficult.
Never be sorry about short videos, sometimes I'm deliberately looking for 20-minute-or-less videos of yours when I want to kill a little time before I go to bed but don't want to get involved with some longer story. Absolutely a place for them!
just glad your safe and back! we support you. no matter what the content length is.
I'll take that "antiquated" 460 over any Ford modular V8 or V-10 any day. Also, I'd strip off that worn-out whorehouse and keep the chassis.
I can’t believe your old enough to see when gas was less than a dollar. In the 70’s i saw it less than 80cents
Plenty of room in my Thunderbird for that 460. The 429 has seen better days and EFI would be nice…
As a matter of fact I do have a black eye due to your negligence. You'll be hearing from my attorney.
I use a bit of tape to keep the belt somewhat in place, dirty hack but works
I wasn't going to say it until you said not to, then I had to! That's the rule! You brought it on yourself bro! 🤣 🤣 🤣
It's funny seeing this video. I just recently got one just like that
Just glad your safe. Love the videos from Minneola Florida
No you don't talk too much, and the idi*t who posted it should learn how to spell, ie. "to" vs. "too". Videos good!
How about the upside-down oil dipstick
Hey Raymond, that is why we all wear safety glasses when being taught by you. Saved me a bunch of black eyes. Safety first
Those are technically not "serpentine" belts, rather heavy duty fan belts.
Looks like the hoses might need a little attention. And maybe vacuum hoses.
Oh, belt up!!! hahahaha
I'd highly advise against driving that… thebp. s. cooler is very rusty.. looks like it may blow at anytime
I remember when gasoline was 28¢ a gallon. Diesel was cheaper but I don't remember how much? I also remember when Amoco has white gas that would burn in your car or your Coleman lantern. Yes, I'm old!
Don’t worry about the haters. Keep up the good work and enjoyable content.
Thank the boob in whitehouse for $7/gal gas
I remember when gas went to 50 cents a gallon. My mom drove up to the pump in her Ford Galaxy 500. I was jumping around the back seat and heard her exclaim how ridiculous it was for gas to be so expensive. By the time I started driving, gas was around 89 cents per gallon.
Now I'm all melancholy for the old days.
🥺🥺
😢😢
😢😢

😢😢
😥😥
😥😥
🥺🥺
I'm okay. (sniff)
Orientation of the writing for you is like the orientation of cover plate screws to electricians. Functionally it makes no difference, but professionals will judge the f*** out of you if you don't do it right.
I was 12 when that rv left the factory
Yup I remember when gas was less than a dollar a gallon
My dad worked for Verizon for 40 years and six months and he retired from Verizon twice he worked in all types of weather
Was that oil cap installed upside down? The horror!
I drove through the US in 1997 when gas was 87 cents a gallon – when I came to Canada it was 47 cents per liter (that is the other measurement).
Why didn't you just use an open end wrench on the square at the top of the Alternator. Would have been way easier than the pry bar. That's how I used to do it.
Hey i have a 460 from a e350 in my 83 f100
I had a 92 E350 camper the with the 460 or the 7.5 I had two belts and an idler replaced on mine in Gulfport Mississippi 2 years ago $352 I'm just curious approximately what it cost to have it done at your shop LOL still have the motorhome just can't afford the gas at 6 miles per gallon
I love the Doolie D's!
Ray! You did your intro without year and mileage. 😫
No need to apologize, we are happy that your family and house is fine as a whole and that the shop is up and running too.
Doodleys Nuts. There I said it.
Loving the content, Ray! Grateful for anything you post, especially given recent events (glad to see you and the family pulled through the hurricane alright!). Stay safe and keep up the great work! 🙂
Hi ray, still love the videos. Just glad it’s slowly getting back to normal.
You know you’re old when you remember when gas broke 25 cents a gallon!!!!!
In high school gas was .35 a gallon plus I got trading stamps. For filling my tank I could get a full set of Melmac dinnerware. I never got the dinnerware cause I could never afford a full tank.
Owned a ‘73 with a 429. Lots of things look familiar.
'95? Plug your scan tool in it! 🤣
Anyone else get the weird rolling shutter effect?
@Rainman Ray's Repairs I have watched so many your videos in a short time that I had a dream I decided to take auto repair classes, you were the teacher, and it was "Nater Day'! LOL
I always hated working on engines in vans.
Omg I need one of those Milwaukee lights. I'm pretty stoked matco is starting to carry Milwaukee
Hope you got your socket back
Thanks for creating a video for us. Love your narration. You always talk to us like as though we're right there with you and that is fabulous!
Boy Fords look like a real joy to work on like 10 hoses on the air cleaner what fun
Back in the late 60’s cars would come into the “Full Service” gas station and when you would check the radiator coolant, those 460 Fords were always rusty.
i can say what ever i want ! lol lol lol
The age of the vehicle would dictate Imperial or SAE bolts/nuts?
Lowest price I saw (as a12yr old) was 19.9 at a Conoco station in Colorado Springs. Keep up the good videos Ray…short or long.
Hi Ray your shop is moving back previously scheduled appointments I hope everything is okay over there?
"you talk too much" ??? If this is what a "Troll" is TROLL SOMEWHERE ELSE SIR! I love the fact that he shares what he is doing he's got a great communicating voice I'm somewhat jealous of him WHY DO PEOPLE LIKE YOU HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING!
Hope the guy with the Dodger Charger…pants dried out.
Hi bud. What the brand on that serpentine ratcheting wrench?
I wonder if Ray has to index all the lettering on all four tires when installing them ?
Says you need to remove the oil filter first to get that belt on.
rainal retentive tendencies!
Average price of gas per gallon broke a dollar in 1980, and stayed there until 1986, when it dropped for three years then broke one dollar again in 1989/90. I didn’t realize you were over 40 Ray, I would have guessed 32/35…. My how time flies! Keep up the great videos Ray! Doodoodeedoo!
Remember there is breaks and brakes and who makes mis(teak)takes.
I remember when gas was less than a quarter a gallon and during price wars got as low as 15 cents. Middle 1950's
Need a channel C like for the cement mixer mixing…and daily chicken coop living times…
Job done. Put a dollar to it
Commentary is 🔥
So… Is it just me of does anyone else find themselves talking back to Ray? I mean the conversational style really puts you first person.
Like;
Ray, you hit me in the face!
Ray, Ow Gravity me! Concussion protocol!! No concern… like NFL old school.
Ray, do de do de do do doo.. oh, he can't hear me.
Ray, I know you just gave a second opinion on that other car but the OUTCOME RAY! The OUTCOME! Were you right?
Ray, I'm falling… falling… ow
Ray, dizzy now
Ray, ya, I do that too… ah crap, he can't hear me. What honey, be quiet you can't hear Ray?… oh… my bad…
What I would give for the days of the 1970's and older cars and trucks.
This the prime example of why most mechanics don't like these types of engine compartments. No room !!!!!!!
My what big hose .
..engine well endowed.
Arm chair quarterbacks "in the house" with Bum Phillips and Houston Oilers…in full effect…
"DEEZ NUTS" Yep, I said it.
I remember when gas was Under a dollar sad days know. I always find when things go that easy that something is wrong
I like any video, long, short 2 part or 1 part. Kinda felt cat in the hat there for a second lol
Short is fine. Glad you and your family survived ok. I likethe way you explain everything
Relax Ray, we all know what you've been through and we're expecting it to take a little time to get back into your groove.
I'm sure I speak for all your fans when I say chill out, all things come to he who waits. So we wait. No problem.
Have yourself a very good day. 👍
Ray, what's the torque on that Rigid impact wrench you use all the time? That's a beast.
The ambulances I drove for a few years back in mid to late 70's had 460's. They seemed kinda' doggy even taking into consideration the weight of the vehicle. But they were reliable.
Ray I'd like to work for you upon the next hurricane arrival. Think of all the bonuses I'd get. It seems Daniela isn't happy you're not playing with the wobbly bits. Maybe he heard Rainman Ray plays with wobbly bit's and got the wrong show. Have a great day Ray.
I have questions, subscribe WHY.
you talk to much
