Been doing mechanic things since I was a youngster and never heard them called a Zerk before, they have always been called grease nipples or just nipples.
Whatever else, you must buy that Dodge! That thing would make a good series of videos as you go through it. They'd be interesting AND educational in showing people what sorts of unexpected issues you can run into by owning a flood affected vehicle. Those seat motors for starters, if it's only you driving it, set the position of the seat to suit you then leave them out, it'll be that much lighter = quicker and more fuel efficient plus save you work and expense and at the end, you've either got an awesome beastie for yourself or you can sell it and even if somehow you lost some money on it, you should have more than recouped that from the videos about it. I really hate the idea of writing an awesome muscle car that looks great just because a little water got in. I drove my old 1976 Ford wagon through floodwaters where it was waist deep inside the car and actually over the headlights for about 2 miles that deep to get home one night and only had to push it back into slightly shallower water once, sprayed in all plug and distributor leads with WD 40, under the distributor cap and all plug leads and somehow, even with the standard air filter arrangement that 302 V8 kept running the whole time, after the WD 40 treatment that is. I can't even understand how it didn't suck water in through the air intake. It was all very flat and level ground so being an automatic I just put it in drive and let the drag of the transmission gently pull it along at idle so not throwing too much water around. I may possibly have removed the fanbelt to stop the fan throwing around too much water but, I don't think so. It was quite a while back so memory isn't 100% about that bit. It's a very strange feeling seeing nothing but MORE water in front of you for miles then watching your headlights fade out and cause glowing muddy water in front while water is actually half covering the bonnet! How that kept going I'll never understand but, it was fine after all that too. I did clean out and change the diff oil since I figured there was a pretty good chance some water would have got in there, that's all, apart from the days it took to dry out and stop smelling like a swamp.
RAY… QUESTION; How come every time I get new tires that come with a "free" front-end alignment on any of my new fwd cars, the car steers and stops awesome for a few weeks, but as the tires settle in, the front end ALWAYS gets sloppy? What I mean by sloppy is for instance, when I'm driving on the crown of the highway, I have to make countless mini steering corrections as opposed to prior to the front end alignment, the car felt more stable and no steering corrections were necessary. My guess is that the free front alignment is set to 0º toe instead of the 2-4mm total toe in factory setting, so as soon as the new tread settles in, and the tires stop influencing the alignment, the car loses its precise and crisp steering. Am I on the right track?

If you're replacing the cv shafts check out TheRamManINC channel and the locking hub conversions so you can leave the hubs unlocked and save gas money by not turning the entire front drive train when its not needed during your daily commute.

Oh my!!!! You actually make it harder to install the 1st Control Arm by sticking the Ball Joint into the Spindle. Let that extra weight pull against you. Just pivot the Arm up and slide it in nicely, then install the Bolts / Adjusters with no effort. Do not Tighten them completely, Just let them pivot as they should. Then lower Ball Joint into the Spindle. You are not going to be fighting the Bushings if they are loose… I just can't watch any more. I tried to come back to see if you got any better, guess not.

Since you claim that you are going to Align it later, and also say you are going to put the Adjusters in the same spot. Did you take pictures??? 2 seconds with a Paint Pen would mark the original spots for the adjusters. By the way, since you have the Nuts loose, pull the Ball Joint out of the Spindle / Knuckle. No need at all to mess with a Pry Bar. Work smarter not harder…..

Oh man, if you never mentioned the nitpicky people on here I never would've noticed that you didn't put the green cover on the second Zerk fitting.
I would of marked the Cam lobes with white oil marker to put the new upper Control Arm back in orginal spot so Alignment wasn't needed @Rainman Ray's Repairs

The push on clip used on the ball joint nut is called a Cotter Pin. The Cotter Key, also known as a split pin, is the one you put in and bend the ends.

If you think those upper bushings were wasted, you should've seen the upper control arm bushings on the Bravada my ex-wife had a few years ago. Literally all that was left of all 4 upper bushings was the outer shells and inner sleeves. Absolutely zero rubber was left. I thought it just had bad upper ball joints and only opted for entire control arms because it was quicker and easier than fighting the old ball joints out and the new ones in. But once I got the old arms out and laid my eyeballs on those bushings, I was glad I opted for the whole arms.

Great videos as usual. Curious if you are a fan of liquid wrench or other thread cleaner, particularly if the parts are dirty or rusty? Also I would have taken the extra 5 minutes the clean the parts and mating surfaces. Helps prevent squeaks and strange noises down the road. Keep up the great work.

Turn one grease fitting to the front and one to the back…. That way you can grease them both when wheel is turned one way. Also like that you remove lug nuts in a criss cross pattern.

Just a thought for you. Its best to have the zerk fittings pointed opposite. That way, when greasing. You only need turn the wheel one way to access both fittings.

I notice you have the same nitto tires i have. Have you noticed when they are cold they can feel like they have a flat spot from sitting until they get warmed up? I have a 2012 dodge ramicus 2500 cummins. They will always be dodge trucks no matter what the factory says.
