Some drivers didn't drive on old school cars with out abooster
Cap code probably from refueling while engine running.
Ray, I would like to reiterate that the focus on this new camera, especially during close-ups, is extremely poor.
You forgot to edit the part where you talked about the spring pressure. You have both the correct and incorrect spring direction explanations included.
Why must you always make the brake pedal depressed 😂
Too many comments to be sure if it was said yet, but standard atmospheric PSI at sea level is 14.7 and I saw you had 14.1 with the PID so that's a bit of vacuum if you're actually at sea level. Not sure if that's the amount you should have at idle, but food for thought.
Like the diagnosis of it all
Like the longer videos more entertaining and educational
the tool thru a sensor code. Replace sensor! …….just kidding.
Ray I hope ur password 2 ur computer isn't 123😅
Ray, you are true honest mechanic. You take your time, diagnose the problems and issues, go an extra step to check safety, and then fix what NEEDS fixing. Not just up sell a bunch of parts for your bottom line. I salute you my friend!
The aftermarket radio with door chime sounds absolutely hideous in this thing. One of the reasons I will not put an aftermarket radio in a newer GM vehicle.
The one time I don't see you change the Schrader valves, and the A/C system leaks! That's exactly why you previously stated that you replace them every time, isn't it?
Ray, when you edit these, do you sit through the whole video?
It seems like you would have to in order to make the various edits that you do.
Considering how long your original video time is, it must be like living your life in real time and then in playback.
I have a tough time sitting and watching my own videos. But I don't do much editing, except to combine a few clips into one.
I would totally pay to have Ray give me some remote advice on my check engine condition with my Kia.
Because I did the valve cover gaskets and am afraid that I may have an air leak, I even bought a smoke maching, after building one from an old halloween smoke machine. I haven't tried it out yet. The car runs pretty well, except at idle it may run rough.
Even replaced both O2 sensors on one bank, the ithers are much harder to get to and I should have done it when the intake was off, but I didnt have these codes at that time, just oil leaks.
If your all 6`s and 7`s then your in a right 2 and 8
I'm chuffed hearing your English accent
I wonder what Snap on’s diagnostic network thing would have said to do. Kinda wonder why all data doesn’t have a similar thing.
A great diagnostic vid for non tech/mech person.
I bet the driver valve cover was repalced because of the built in PCV valve in hopes on stopping the oil consumption.
I like how u go thru everything and not throw the parts bin at it
Another entertaining and educational video. Thank you. Just for fun, recorded you saying "Bump Stop". Now I can play it on WINAMP with it set to loop.
Come on man, Ryobi tools are great for jobs around the house, just not industrial use. I love all my Ryobi tools and serve me well
silly noid 😀
I love the diagnostic videos more. Watching the process of finding out what is going wrong is fascinating.
It probably needs blinker fluid
Don't know if you are aware of this, but I have been subscribed for a long time. I checked when I started watching this video and I had been unsubscribed.
Test drives are fun, we get stories:)
You're a great wordsmith, always entertaining & informative; keep up the great work Ray. Thank You!
I think you should have changed the brake fluid…it is very old, full of water, not expensive, and much safer.
Ray checks everything and fixes what is needed to be fixed and goes it right
Thanks Ray! .. Enjoyed.
14.7 psi is one atmosphere at sea level and 59 degrees. maybe that is what the reading is?
Your ability to give in depth diagnosis is absolutely amazing. Don't stop! The ability to go from pulling engines to electrical gremlins is what makes you a genius in the world of car mechanics.
Step 3: Is it a PT Cruiser? Go to Step 4
Step 4: Torch it
Ray does a very good job at articulating, explaining, and teaching everything he is doing on the car. Never feel left in the dark on the videos. I would love to see some more of these diag videos, keep up the good work
14.2 psi is normal atmospheric pressure at sea level
It’s GM, you may overload your scanner.
Only took 28 minutes on the video to finally check the actual brake booster vaccuum sensor and discover that it indeed was sending an implausible reading confirming what the scanner told you in the first 5 minutes.
The valve cover could be the oil consumption fix. Replace the cover with updated part. To prevent massive oil consumption.
It is so cold in Seattle, you have any brass monkeys, you should bring them indoors.
Let Jesús Have the bag!!!
Love that "Gravity!"
Mint! 👌
Thank you for another great video. Cheers
comment for the algorithm
I guess it is 14.3 psi – 16 psi atmospheric pressure.
Hey Ray. Meant to say happy anniversary on your new shop. I believe you are about 13 months into your new shop. Love you bro. I hope you have continued success and prosperity
Mr. O did the most exactly same diagnosis and it was on a trail blazer also
you just didn't do it right!! 😂🤣😂 operator eeeeerrrrrrr
Driver’s side only valve cover… possibly trying to fix the PCV oil consumption issue. A 2010 shouldn’t have the issue, but someone thought it may.
Yes nice diagnosis. Very informative. Makes you use you brain not just your hands.👌 best wishes bob
Yup, Didn't see you change the Schrader Valves on the A/C fill/recovery lines like we always seen you do in the past, Lol 🤣!
Ray why don't you use the blue tooth OP Conn.
All at sixes and sevens (being confused) dates back to Chaucer's Troilus and Cresida…
There's no way the brake booster is at 70+ PSI when not even car tyres go anywhere close to that high. Absolutely amazing and thorough diagnostic.
Hi Ray it was very interesting.
You have a Great day
Your diag videos never fail to entertain, I love this content
why did vacuum drop when reving suspect check valve.
I'm seeing a little Michael Scott in Rays' mgmt style.
Vacuum at Idle
Got my hat today from the website. This hat is awesome. If you don't have one yet, you need to order one you wont be sorry
I didn't see you change the Schrader valves that you have said that you change every time. Did you forget, or have you changed your mind?
Hose clamp pliers make it more better, right tools for the job at hand
14.6 psi is atmosphere, so 14 might be right on
Yeah, too much diagnostics on this video did not care for this one, kind of boring for me. We’ll wait for the next one.😩
See Zero Too Nineteenien
Comment for the algorithm. Thanks for the video.
Did you use your cell phone? The video quality is 🤢🐒🙊🧟
are you looking for a word,
is it …..Apophenia,
What happens when ya blow a seal? usually the seal likes it
they don't know brake fluid is supposed to be changed every few years, people are weird
Good video. Thank you for not promoting incessantly your channel's merch. After Google forced us to join YouTube at $13.99 per month by blocking adblockers like UBlock Origin, it's disappointing to even see one commercial. Thanks again for not selling merch on the channel.
You can also check for an engine idle change when pressing the brake pedal. If the engine idle changes when you pump the pedal, you have a vacuum leak.
Awesome
needed a nap😊
It's almost like prime numbers run through your head all day long I'm left-handed and left brain me myself and I have arguments
😂😂recommend a brake fluid exchange its needed
exhaustingly complete diag! very well done….hope they appreciate the effort. 100% full assessment…..brakes matter….
I love all your diagnostics. Some of this the normal DIYer can do. Thank you very much.
If the brake booster has a leak, wouldn't it trigger a lean code?
What is the number one vehicle that stays in your shop Chevrolet that is all you work on
Here is a comment, for the algorithm.
Don’t forget to fire the parts cannon at the old crain-brainium; if it’s not working, all other diagnostic procedures will fail… epically! 😆
Thanks Ray
🎉 😄 👍 👌 .
TIL about what's in the brake booster! Tanks berry much!
Ray, you always do such a great job explaining how the systems work together. Keep up your awesome work 👏
As a Brit I do find hilarious when Americans try to speak in a British accent!
Great job Don't forget to recommend. to the customer the bump stops
Love the video Ray… Troubleshooting at its finest.
Doooodddeeerrtlllyyyyyddddooooooooooooooooo 🎉 for old times sake 😂
Javi Air giving you more business
I see some suspension work in the future.
Hi wife unit……….
14psi is atmosphere!
Good diagnotics…
I especially liked this video. I'm having a problem with a 2014 Tacoma trouble code indicating a gas cap problem. Cap has been replaced twice. I'm about to start searching for the actual cause of the light. This video has given me some direction. Thanks, Ray!
