And people think Iam nuts for buying a new battery every 4-5 yrs for my truck and motorcycles. And I clean the terminals too. I might be, but I've never had a battery issue……blew a transmission at 102K miles and replaced upper and lower control arms with new ball joints at 140K, but no battery issues. LOL
I'm in IT, mostly dealing with my regular business customers. But our shop (that works with the general public) gets a fair amount of this kind of customer. Bring in an ancient computer with insufficient memory and an aged HD their brother-in-law tried to fix and made a mess. Then gets all indignant we charged them money to actually fix it and turns down all our advice because they think we're trying to rip them off.
If i'm not getting a good connection to the battery at first I would have either used a wire brush to remove rust or just disconnect it as you did eventually. leaving the coolant cap off is poor. I would not trust you with any car of mine.
We all hope that the previous work was done by “ my neighbor” and not a real shop. Probably a bad battery caused alternator fail. Replace alternator, not battery?
When you put those battery clamps back on even though you knew they needed to be off to give the tester the best chance, and you had undo them again, a small part of me died.
If I were a mechanic, I might video all my work just so I'd have evidence to combat the slander being flung in my direction because of the nature of this type of work.
Car batteries are only good at max for 5 years, if its older then 5 years and you have electrical problems replace the battery. That might work in flordia but you get it up in the midwest durrinr a cold winter all bets are off. Your walking.
You left the coolant cap off when you closed the bonnet.

I'm a Ford fan, it's just easier to spell than Shevrolay, but I did get a kick out of, "Ford Exploder".
Just an FYI. You took the cap off the coolant overflow and set it on the air box which is where it was still sitting when you closed the hood. Oops!
you didnt put the cap back on the coolent tank!!!!!

Ouch you know we are watching the water overflow tank top not on. Stay out of trouble.
Radiator doesn't need a cap?
You left the coolant tank open
Starts with POS 90 day battery and an unplugged MAF sensor……
You forgot to put the cap back on the coolant reservoir
I know this is old, but you do know you left the cap off the coolant bottle right???
1, don't know how to use battery tester
2, leaves coolant lid off to get sucked into engine or lost
3, i'll go somewhere else me thinks

Sooooo, where's the ground pin for your battery charger power cord?
Taking advantage of a 21 yr old lol probably cause the last ppl who did shotty work took advantage of her 🤓
how can anyone accuse you of ripping them off if you film everything?
The coolant reservoir cap was still off when you closed the hood!
👍
Your leaving the Oval Table?…you didn't stay for refreshments…….
Sad.
You didn’t re-lace the expansion tank cap 🤪

When did they start using those rinky-dink battery cable clamps?
Cringe @ timing chain noises, being a Ford 4L. Deathrattle! That said, It does have 200K miles.
a little less talk and a bit more attention to replacing caps on radiator tank reserve
left the coolant reservoir cap off. !!!!!
I want to know more on that conversation lol some people don’t understand that some of us do want to help
Scamming people isn't cool bro

Could the rust on the battery cable connectors have caused the testing problems?
