Wearing safety glasses ain’t no joke. I wear them all the time and one time I was using a bench grinder with a wire wheel and I had a wire stick in my chin and I didn’t even know it until I happened to touch it and it took a pair of pliers to pull it out. I may have felt it hit me but didn’t realize that it stuck in
I really liked the livestream brake change. Especially the live drive at the end. Not really sure why, but hopping in the car with you live and going along on the shakedown run really made it feel like I was there, even though I'm watching this over a year later. A couple times in the stream you pondered why anyone would watch this sort of content, and while I can only speak for myself, I imagine most people are here to learn. It's one thing to know there are brakes on each wheel that stop the car when you press on the pedal, it's quite another to know that the master cylinder provides hydraulic pressure through the brakes lines that presses the calipers squeezing the brake pads against the rotor. It's even more still to actually see each component of the process, how they are removed, what is replaced and what is repaired, and ultimately how it all goes back together.
When I was young and drove junk cars I did a dozen brake jobs in the driveway. Watching your videos makes me cringe at how little I knew back then. No wonder I went through brakes pads so quickly! Now that I'm middle aged my cars usually get traded in long before they need major service, but watching channels like yours gives me the confidence that if I ever felt like it I could screw up cars in my very own garage with my very own tools.
What makes your channel better than other car channels is your personality. You are funny and chill. It makes me wish you were my neighbor as if I saw you out messing around in the garage I'd crack open a couple of cold snacks and wander over to hang out and shoot the breeze. Same goes for other channels like AVE, Mustie1, and Vice Grip Garage. BTW, seeing BIG CLIVE (the chillest of the chill) in your live streams tripped me out. That's so awesome Clive watches your channel. I can understand how you might find it strange for someone to sit and watch you do yet another break job as you do them day in and day out, but a lot of us fellas haven't cracked open the toolbox in years, we actually get a bit excited when the tire pressure looks a bit low. Watching your videos scratches that itch while also gaining experience almost as if I'd actually turned the wrench myself.
idk…gotta b honest im a back to front kinda guy and a roll-as-wiper not just smearer lmao :p i its nice to go from back to front so u can see if u missed any dinglekarens i also use those wetwipes lol cleanliness is not just for old ppl asses how does that seem like n oxymoron…
I grew up in the rust belt and am ever so happy I now live in the south and do not have to contend with massive salt corrosion on my vehicles. I miss skiing, sledding and how beautiful the snow can be, but being able to do a brake job in less time than it takes to go to the store and get the pads is nice.
Eric, I want to thank you for saving my bacon. My wife's 2001 chevy blazer 4.3 l vortec 110, 000 original miles garage kept had the bearing take a crap in the distributor. No problem, ordered a new one from Amazon put it in and did a crank relean. Started it up everything was fine. Took it for a test drive and my scanner went nuts with miss fires. Checked the cam retard all was good. So after three days of testing everything and pulling my hair out ( what I have left that is) I sat down to watch one of your video. As I did, I noticed a video about miss fires without codes you posted. Well, that video was the answer. I replaced the aftermarket crank sensor with an OEM one from GM and now I have a happy wife and happy life again. Thanks for posting your videos. And yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks😄
Hello Mrs o
Yes we can hear you

I'm quite amazed at how many of your fans put up with being called Ding-dongs…
“I’ll work with the just brown eye, if I have to.” 😂 😂 😂 Bet that would be a pretty sh*tty work day! 😝
Adaptive One ceramic pads look great but they get too hot for Napa premium rotors…..
Just my experience 2014 impala
It’s better that Mrs.O not “lose her mind” than you losing your good (aiming) eye.

When you're not using a torque wrench and you think it's tight enough, just say "click!"
willing to pay higher price if every garage work like you do.
Raining here in NL
Yeah! Let's Goooo for a riiiiiiide!!!
You need to apply torque in one smooth and continuous motion. Stopping short and then torquing again will result in an inaccurate final torque.
Why are you so rude to your wife? She deserves better and brake dust gives you cancer.
I think you should use a mask all that dust flying about off the hub you seem to have a bit of a cough
MS.O IS THE BOSS RIGHT ERIC
