In this video I have a look at a Cadillac ATS that came in with a customer complaint of "no heat." I also find out it has a code stored in it for insufficient coolant flow. A few quick checks and I find the root cause for the problem. -Enjoy!

After reading these posts, I come to realize American car companies don't take pride into their product. They don't want to have these types of cars lasting a long time because they are switching to all electric because of global warming.

Hey I don't if you got this 2014 caddie to do or not but I have one too mine is a 2014 caddie too ATS But I have the bigger cue screen in mine that is junk lol mine is AWD with the touring mode, ice and snow, and of course SPORT MODE LOL 58,000 on it I just started smelling what u did got a good nose I don't know if U Can reply here if not I will call the shop
I've owned 4 Cadillacs…2000 SLS, 2000 DHS, 2004 SRX and 2010 DTS…I will never own another one. Had to pull the grill and bumper cover to remove headlamp to replace the halogen lamp inside…
For a Cadillac, that motor sure is noisy……….

Why didn't u ck radiator when it was cold for coolant level?and I'd ck oil level by sound of that engine!losing coolant no leak?,internal problem!

An acquaintance of mine owned a Cadillac and got rid of it because he claimed the quality just wasn't there. Trade it in and let someone else worry about it.
GM General Maintainance?
Is that noise coming from the engine? Sounds like a compressor motor.
Obviously if the temp is between 1/4 & 1/2 then it is not correct and should be over 3/4 if at 220. So I would say it has a faulty temp sensor. If not several other things wrong in the cooling system.
For being a 2014 that thing sounds an old clunker. Should have bought a Toyota Scotty said.
The Cruzes have that trash cooling setup with multiple sensors and variable speed fans. Can create quite the nightmare to diag.

The coolant tank you added to has a 2nd half under it that was empty and you didnt add ANY coolant to it, it has its own fill behind the upper tank.

How much did the job end up costing?
My bottom tank on my ATS V stays empty. Does it suppose to do that. I also saw bubbles in the top tank. I think its overheating. Please help

That ATS is a good car to stay away from, stopped buy GM crap a few years ago.
So where it says dex cool, are you supposed to fill it up with the same coolant you use for the engine coolant ?
Thats 😎 I have one that I replaced the actuator passenger side moves to hot position on the money but on cold postions only hits 89 degrees im condemning the box flaps passenger side. I got hear but no ac for passenger side 😕

UPDATE: The lady was contemplating getting a new vehicle and when she got the quote to fix the caddy she said it was time to make the purchase on the new one she was looking at. On a side note with the GM Strike that is still going on it was near impossible to get my hands on OEM parts. Oh well, ya win some ya loose some.
