Is it possible that the tank pressurized enough to blow that out? I haul gas and some times when I hook up vapor I get a rush of either air in or out depending on the temp difference of ambient and internal tank. But never seems enough to blow out a plug
I, for one, am entertained by your video's of automotive diagnosis and repair. Do not change anything, Ray. You are spot on, don't listen to the hater.
Dont care what everyone says, you did a great job, most people would have replaced the whole fuel pump. It just happens on them GM vehicles for that gasket goes bad and with you living in Florida where its warm to hot all the time and they have to end it on exactly only the $**.00 that put pressure in the tank and blows them out.
I love watching a new Ray video and it’s like “here’s happy Ray in a job Ray likes” and it recommends an old video that’s like “see Ray do the same job but hate his job.” Find a job that treats you like new Ray. Don’t miss the video Ray said screw you to old Ray’s boss, and don’t let your boss treat you like old Ray. Cheers happy Ray!
Reminds me of an old joke.. A blond went to the dealership to get her car checked out. The mechanic said what is the trouble? She said the check engine light is on but when I lift the hood to check. The engine is still there…..
Wait, the old pressure sensor is OUT of the tank, so the tank is open to the atmosphere, didn't I hear the system was pulling a vacuum? Time to go back and watch again. Stay safe.
Ray, or anyone else reading this, how much does it cost to do a fuel pump replacement on a GMC Sierra? Back in 1998 my 88 Sierra started going through fuel pumps and it cost me 500$ each time. Eight pumps in one year. I was only charged for the first two. WTF GM?
How satisfying was that..to have troubleshot the probable issue to be pressure sensor…and when you pull the fuel tank, you see the sensor sitting on top of the tank? Is it like…found a $20.00 bill outside? Or orgasm esque?
Why not just replace the whole fuel pump module? OOh so you have a come back later for a fuel pump.. I gotcha . if it wernt for come backs you would be out of a job 🙂
You sounded very stressed. 🥺
This must have been when u were still at the dealership huh? Glad you are happier now 👍😊
i though you were falling asleep !
It's a GM, that light is there to keep you company. Thanks for watching!

you can really tell the mood difference in these old dealer videos vs the new not-dealer videos. so much more happiness and job satisfaction
The way that sensor just pushes in the tank with no real secure mount is concerning.

Im so dissa-Pointéd thé Phoné Névêr Wrâng Oncê ¡¡¡¡
Put your dam tools up u get paid by the hour…… What a mess no reason for that .
"Click" on a sensor you are pathetic. Thumbs down!!!

Cool beans
Cool beans
So do you put like sil-guide or install dry, if lubed will it come back out?
Love the big sigh at the start. Here we go again..🙄
Much respect for Ray, most so called mechanics would’ve just put silicon on it and charged full price for a sensor.
I jacked up the bed of my truck to change out mine. Pretty satisfying to be able to do it myself!
Flat 4 VW still the best …..She's been running since 74 same numbers matching engine and Gearbox ..never had a check engine light lol
Vehicles made these day just have way too much junk that can break and yet there seems to be little overall improvement
I wonder how much dirt went into that thank
Among the trash on top of the gas tank, did I see a cigarette butt?! Lol
Well, at least you have on video what the problem was too. Kinda CYA.
He makes everything look easy & does the repairs with one hand.
When I shift right no codes boom it's the driver
"someone's been here before" 😂 🤣
Looks like a clean up would be nice

love hot chocolate coffee. I do that when I have creamer available.
Lithium grease or some CRC will help it install properly.
Must need a gas cap.
That fixd obd2 type unitizer is a cool little unit. I mean, for the do it yer selfr' its pretty decent data base theough the smart phone app.

Do you ever show the customer your video to show things like this – it wasn't in the hole and someone was there before?
To fix the noise you hear turn the up radio louder.
Why didn't he run it then check the codes after the fix lmfao
I hope you noticed the high beams.. I hate people who drive with their high beams on
Just seeing all the evap codes and associated crap is incentive to go electric. The lack of oil changes is just icing on a big cake.
Sometimes the light is all the customer knows…
Legend has it, some engineers went missing shortly after the first fuel tank problem.
2.48 That's not a knife
Since WHEN is the "Data" CLASSIFIED?? Please!!
You should have rolled Smoke.
has part ABSOLUTELY CLEARS WORK TABLE…..little bag 🤣🤣 I do that a lot I need the prep space
